idk why but I envision she is someone mayv is hunting + possibly has  a soft spot for? do not feel lucky, now you owe her, may wish to be dead after all lol

mayv is alllll about a strong, confident front/persona, so maybe when she shows eve her fears eve starts crying and mayvis is like "oh wtf girl we do not act like this" lol....

i am also putting a wanted ad for mayv's twin macon, who has a little more of a conscious than her, so if eve was crying and macon was like "ey mayv she's crying leave this poor beauty alone" mayv would reluctantly be like "fiiiine bc you said" lol (we could always thread him as NPC if we decide to go this route & no one grabs him)

Sure! I imagine a lot of people think Eve is a 'fake' and is only pretending to be gifted due to her whole witch schtick and how open she is with her powers. Like, girl, there are hunters out there?? If she were really gifted, wouldn't she be more subtle??? So maybe Mayvis could be investigating like - "this lady is waaay too obvious to be the real deal but maybe I should check anyway" - and she books a tarot reading or visits the store and Eve eventually does something to reveal her telepathy, allowing Mayvis to realise Eve is sincerely just that naïve about hunters.

Then, we could do the whole fear gift thing and Mayvis being like "girl chill" lmao, and sure maybe Macon could be nearby and step in, leaving Eve super confused as to what just happened and still in dark about hunters - just thinking that Mayvis is an "evil" witch who practices "dark magic" and needs to be brought back to the light or something x3

I'd really like for Amaia and Evening to become friends! Amy tries to keep people away because she doesn't want to endanger them, but I'd like for her to start opening up. Evening can do a reading and the reading could be about death because of Amy's power, so Evening would be worried about Amy being in danger or something? But in reality the reading is just sensing Amy's power?

Noah & Tomas

I think it would make sense that Noah recruited Tomas to Blackstorm. Tomas is slow to trust and despite Noah sounding like a “nice guy” I’m not sure how much Tomas would trust him in the close personal friend department. I think he might trust him in a Blackstorm “brothers in arms” kind of vibe though. Tomas is dedicated to the cause and maybe their relationship could be focused solely around Blackstorm? Tomas’s accelerated healing gifts would likely be useful to Noah as well, especially if he found himself injured somehow. I can see them drinking whiskey in bars and plotting the rise of the gifted.

Amaia Devivi & Evening Cadieux

Apologies for the late response, but yes!! I think they would be sweet. Maybe Eve has a dream with lots of death symbolism surrounding Amaia and when she sees her in the waking world Eve goes out of her way to be extra kind to her, thinking she’s going to die soon. But THEN maybe she hears in Amaia’s thoughts about the death visions and she asks her outright about them? Eve’s visions/predictions tend to be very set in stone, so I imagine she would be interested to hear about another ‘witch’ having success with changing the future shown in their visions.

Ayyy I think it would be great if Noah recruited Tomas! Apologies for the incoming paragraphs, I have a few ideas for what kind of dynamic they could have >:]

Noah tends to do background checks/some investigating before recruiting someone, so would it be okay if he knows some info about Tomas’ personal life? Like… his relationship with his parents (Noah generally dislikes family units and would be all-too happy to shit talk them with Tomas if that’s the kind of thing Tomas would do), and maybe it would be interesting if he knows about Tomas’ panic attacks? Noah studied psychology at university, so although he’s far from being a trained therapist, maybe he knows a few things that have helped Tomas handle them a little better.

And ah yes, Noah probably would want to borrow Tomas’ accelerated healing! But I don’t think he’d be able to – Noah can only borrow gifts that have been used on him somehow. He would still see the advantages of having Tomas with him on missions though! Plus, although Noah is a good fighter, Tomas is likely to know more moves due to his photographic reflexes that Noah would be interested in learning. Perhaps they have the occasional friendly spar to relieve stress and keep themselves prepared for less-friendly 'real-world' fights. Also, with Tomas’ accelerated healing, Noah probably would feel far more able to ‘let loose’ and have fun in these playfights since Tomas can bounce back from injuries.

ALSO Noah currently has a thread going on with Maddie, and would kick himself if he were to realise she’s the same Maddison that is close friends with Tomas. Could be funny if the dudes were drinking together (maybe after one of the aforementioned playfights) and Noah saw a picture of her on Tomas’ phone or something and was like “yooo I met her the other day! wtf man why didn’t you tell me about her and her power sensing gift, she could be so useful to us”.

Would Tomas want to dissuade Noah from recruiting Maddie or going anywhere near her? If so, maybe he could try to warn Noah away and Noah could kinda tease Tomas about liking her? And if Tomas does anything to suggest he actually does like her, Noah would definitely pounce on that and be like “LMAO you idiot, why are you sitting around? life is short go get your girl” x3

Noah & Tomas

Tomas would always be happy to shit talk his parents. Other then Maddie and Mason no one else knows about his difficult relationship with them, so having someone else to bitch with would be relieving for him. The panic attacks definitely started with his parents’ expectations of him and now are really just related to any kind of expectation/surge of adrenaline or anxiety. The martial arts have definitely been helpful in controlling them, so play fighting with Noah would only help, and Tomas would love if Noah let loose during the play fights as he would enjoy the challenge that he wouldn’t get with ungifted who didn’t know about his powers.

Tomas would definitely try and dissuade Noah from going after Maddie and her powers. He is very protective of her, and he would definitely get flustered if the implication of Tomas “like liking” her came up because the feelings are new and he doesn’t really know what to do about them. It could be very entertaining to see Tomas get teased and feel flustered – its not something that happens outside of Mason and Maddie and Id very much enjoy writing that kind of the tread.

Omg, I've been meaning to post this forever, but kept getting side tracked.

Noah St Cloud and Mason Lancaster

Idk if Noah would have recruited Mason or if it was someone else, but I feel like they would at least know each other, even if it was just in passing. Regardless of how well they know each other, Mason has intentionally not mentioned his sister to anyone in Blackstorm (with Tomas being the obvious exception). He hasn't even said he has a sister, let alone that she's also Gifted. He's gonna be really grumpy if/when he finds out Noah met her, because he has been trying to protect her from any potential danger or being used for the wrong reasons. He's warned her to be careful and not to let anyone know what she can do, and he'd be just as grumpy at her for revealing her gifts to Noah. He will eventually get over it, but he'll be moody about it for a while. He'd also give push back if anyone mentions trying to recruit Maddie.

Also, I imagine Mason comes into contact with some obviously gifted people in his line of work. He might pass on names and/or addresses from time to time for potential recruits. (And I just had the funniest thought of him giving Noah Dane Wayland 's address with just a 'don't remember his name and no clue what he can do but he's apparently gifted and seems to attract trouble, my "friend" told me about him'.)

Grace Gatsby and Mason Lancaster

Okay I won't lie, thinking about these two interacting is wild in my head. However. HOWEVER. Mason says he just has to go into her void space. It feels like he is about as opposite of Grace as you can get, so unless she's hunting him or he responds to something involving her I really don't know how they would cross paths. But one of Mason's favorite things to do is float in a sensory deprivation tank. He likes it better than when Maddie takes away his gifts, because he doesn't feel empty, but it makes it easy for him to just (mostly) shut everything off for a little while. He absolutely wants to know what it feels like to be in the void.

Looking at her plot hooks, this would probably fit with the 'Hello darkness my old friend' hook.

I almost forgot. I've got Ethan to offer up for an legal needs. He takes Guild clients, begrudgingly, because his father is a Guild member based out of San Diego. He'd probably really hate Grace, since she's a Gifted hunter, but he'd keep his mouth shut and do his job to keep her out of any trouble she might get into.

Hmm I reckon if Noah had recruited Mason he would have done his research and found out about Maddie, so maybe Noah recruited Tomas and then Tomas gave Mason’s name to a different Blackstorm recruiter, or Mason was seen using his reflexes by an agent and got recruited that way?

Regardless, Noah hates borrowing enhanced senses so he’d probably want to avoid Mason a little bit lololol, but he’d also think Mason’s abilities are very useful for missions etc and be very pleased if Mason were to give the names of potentially gifted people to him! Sort of a love-hate reaction whenever he sees him. Like ‘GAH smh why did you approach me without warning like that, I can suddenly hear the whole street, this is awful, how do you live like this, but also yay goodie how ya doing pal, have you found someone good for me??’ (And yes Noah investigating the suspicious person only to find out it's Dane would be hilarious ksejfnskejf.)

If they have a confrontation about Maddie (perhaps she could mention Noah to Mason and Mason and can like ‘oh HELL no, I know that guy, stay away from him’), Noah could try saying to him that if Mason can find more names for Noah to investigate then he’ll leave his sister alone. But then, being a sneaky snake, he’d still try to convince Maddie to find gifted for him while telling her not to keep it secret from her brother lmaoo

Mason Lancaster & Grace Gatsby & Ethan Rivers

Ooo okay so I’m thinking… Maybe Grace sometimes checks in on firefighters, police, and anyone else performing heroic feats to be sure they don’t have any gifts helping them out, so she tracks down Mason at a bar or whatever, talks to him for a bit/finds a reason to get him alone, and traps her in the void.

‘Hello darkness my old friend’ occurs – she’s interrogating him, trying to figure out if he’s gifted, but he’s already realised she’s a hunter and plays dumb.

Grace is eventually weirded out by him liking the void so much. She remembers Ethan is in Los Eurosia and calls him up, thinking he’ll make the interrogation much shorter as he can flat out command Mason to tell the truth. But, perhaps due to his dislike of her, maybe he doesn’t actually use his gift and Mason is able to lie, or maybe Ethan uses his gift to persuade Grace to think that Mason is human and so she lets him go? What do you think? c:

I like the idea that @tomas could have given Mason's info to someone else ((as long as it's cool with Sarah?)). Mason would absolutely try to just toss his ability on Noah from time to time though, just to mess with him if he knew he hated it.

Mason would also, for sure, try to negotiate whatever he could to keep Noah from going after Maddie. Though, it really isn't up to him once she knows about it, but he still thinks he can do something to protect her from getting tangled up in dangerous situations. He's worried about hunters finding out about her and either targeting her or trying to recruit her more than anything else.

This is an amazing idea and I'm 100% here for it. Depending on when this happens, Ethan and Mason may have met (they'll have a friend in common at the very least). And Ethan would love to subtly screw over Grace.

Also, so far, Ethan's gift is a very tightly kept secret, BUT if Grace did find out about it he'd do whatever he could to keep her from telling anyone else about it - or at least appear to be doing so.

Noah St Cloud & Sebastian

I think there is a lot of potential, Sebastian doesn’t care enough about a cause to dedicate himself to it so he wouldn’t be interested in Blackstorm. He lives a party boy/playboy lifestyle which is spontaneous and often illegal in a fun way. They could maybe have a romantic/ flirtatious history or just a platonic relationship, Sebastian has a gift he isn’t keen to use (Necrokinesis) if Noah was interested in gifts, he might be aware of this if hes looked into Sebastian in the past etc. I dunno, Sebastian isn’t by any means as much a sociopathic as Noah appears, but he strives to be mean and devoid of feeling. On a surface level hes cold but underneath hes lost and craves a lot of attention.



Evening Cadieux and Sebastian

I could see maybe Sebastian getting his fortune read, maybe something about the necrokinesis can crop up, it’s a power that he never uses and its getting a little temperamental and hes beginning to loose control of it. He might seek her out for information about the future etc.

Oooo yes I see it *_* Noah definitely likes to party as well, so perhaps they met when Noah was driving around one night, saw there was a huge party going on at Sebastian’s house, and decided to crash it lmao. Noah typically prefers sweeter types over “bad boys/girls” but visually I think Sebastian ticks some of his boxes and he’d probably be entertained by Sebastian’s mood swings and any overt seduction attempts.

Maybe they had a flirtatious/FWB thing going on and Noah eventually found out about Sebastian’s gifts (either by doing some research on him or accidentally stumbling across Sebastian using them). Then he could have suggested Blackstorm to him (it’s always good to recruit rich types who might be able to throw some extra money their way), but really, he wouldn’t pester anyone to join Blackstorm if they’re not into it. He’d be happy enough borrowing Sebastian’s photokinesis, attending his parties, and trying to tempt him to use his necrokinesis so he can figure out a way to borrow it.

However, because of his thing for Tawny, Noah has stopped hooking up with anyone who isn’t her. Maybe he hasn’t been to one of Sebastian’s parties in aaages and then he suddenly shows up again, but when Sebastian tries to make a move Noah turns him down. Would Sebastian secretly be annoyed/upset that Noah isn’t giving him attention anymore? Perhaps offended that Noah never offered to be somewhat loyal to/monogamous with him?

I like this idea too! Eve gets a little stressed about anyone disturbing the dead, so she’s very likely to warn him away from using his necrokinesis and would think of it as disrespectful/a sure way to bring bad luck upon himself. He might find her annoying for pestering him on the matter, but maybe (since she can read minds) she knows he’s not quite as cold as he likes to pretend, and tries her best to coax out the softer side to him.

Also randomly just got the sudden image in my head of her tying a cutesy apron on him and forcing him to help her make a cake or something lmao, maybe as payment for her tarot reading that day

Noah St Cloud & Sebastian

Yeah Sebastian has very little sweetness but is oh so pleasing on the eye. Sebastian wouldn’t hide his gifts very well, not for any other reason but he just enjoys doing what he wants, when he wants and he wouldn’t want to hide them, expect the nercokinesis ofcourse.

If Noah cut off the hook ups with Sebastian then Sebastian would probably he like “Ok, yeah, if you wanna cut yourself off from all of this” *does a sexy little butt shake* but deep down he would internalise it and be like “why why why why doesn’t he want to do it anymore, did I do something wrong?! Why am I not getting what I want anymore!” but that wouldn’t peek through on the surface much, he would just be arrogant and sarcastic about it. Sebastian has spent his life being second/third best to his father so Noah’s rejection/ not picking him for exclusivity would probably wound his ego a little and he might lash out a bit because of it.

Ultimately though get him drunk enough and suggest a stupid idea/activity that’s bound to get him in trouble and that Sebastian finds fun and he would easily get over it and move onto to the next.

I love the idea of her knowing that hes not as cold as he presents, he would definitely try to deny it and get annoyed with her if she pesters him about things he pretends to not care about. Ultimately, I think he would be intrigued by a friendship where someone knows who he is deep down, and he didn’t have to get vulnerable for them to know it. I can also see her coaxing him into doing things that he would usually turn his nose up at and he would probably protest a lot but continuing doing whatever she suggested because deep down being a good person make him happier then he expected.
