Heyo! Here are some Quick Ads for me! I'm keeping the descriptions short for this — mainly just outlining some minor ideas, what's flexible and what's not, and how they might be played with my characters. More detailed info about how I currently idealize/imagine the character can be found on my NPC tracker! [break][break]This isn't my full NPC/adoptable list but these are some choice characters I either desire more than others or that I think have more plot/play potential than others!
[break][break]
Suggested FC is Sam Claflin. Everything is up in the air with him, you can make him however you like. The only things "set in stone" are that he's a Guild Hunter and is "right-hand man" to Antonio Wayland (so needs to have a fitting, competent personality — or at least façade). I like the idea of Wolfhound being a more "pure" Hunter (aka Ungifted) but if you'd like him to have a power, that's 100% fine. I also have in my mind that his Guild tattoo, like Dane's, is huge. But unlike Dane's, it's not due to punishment/disobedience, but due simply to his closeness to Antonio. Like a trust thing. [break][break] The dynamic I imagine between Wolfhound and Dane is a volatile one. He probably enjoys putting Dane through some hell, Dane enjoys hating him, and they probably actually do amazing as partners (when they find it in themselves to work together). He's been mentioned in a couple of threads, including here (mentioned in two, separate posts) and here (his placeholder name was 'Luck' at one point and I've been a little too lazy to update).
[break][break]
Suggested FC is Imogen Poots. Everything is up in the air with her, you can make her however you'd like. The only things "set in stone" are that she's unwillingly been indentured to the Guild and is used as a healer for them. Her relationship with Dane I imagine is a tense one. He enjoys trying to get her to show emotion and likes winding her up. And she'd like very much to let him bleed out and die when he reaches out to her but knows it probably wouldn't fly over well with his father (little does she know, Antonio would likely be thrilled). She's been mentioned in a couple of threads including here.
[break][break]
Suggested FC is Iliana Raykovski. MK is a huge question mark. Feel free to take her in whatever direction you'd like! At one point, Dane was playing "boyfriend" to her in order to get access to her Sector files. But a while back, he discovered (in this entirely MK-centric one-shot) that she was using him, too. They had falling out and haven't spoken/seen each other since. But Dane hasn't ratted her out to the Guild and wonders about her motives. He respects her for what she did (and may actually have some genuine feelings for her).
[break][break][break][break]
Jackal is the man who helped Ashley escape the Guild and forge his new identity. They did it together. Imagine them scared as all hell, cutting out each others' tattoos leaned over a bathtub. Jackal teaching him how to dye his hair and put in his contacts. Providing him with all the papers he would need in his new life. Jackal definitely took a risk bringing Ashley in on his plans. Ashley had a huge crush on him. But they haven't seen or heard from one another in over six years (since they decided it was safer for them to have no contact). They wished each other well and hoped to never see each other again (affectionate). [break][break]I think it would be so interesting for Jackal to come back into his life for whatever reason. Maybe he needs help? Maybe he's in a tight spot? Or maybe Jackal reaches out because he feels it's "finally safe" now? He'd probably be quite bewildered (and possible furious) to find out Ashley has rekindled his relationship with Gemma! It endangers everything he did for him![break][break]
He's mentioned (in like three separate posts, mostly reminiscing on the above "imagines") in this thread.
[break][break][break][break]
I think it'd be immensely interesting for Luck to discover he had family. As far as biological family goes, he's only known his mother. And she died when he was seventeen. It's possible he has someone out there, he just has no idea! In any case, he'd feel big emotions over the whole thing. Probably some initial anger and blame. Lots of it. Ugly stuff. But then, he'd be interested in having actual family, too (it's something he's longed for/pined for/felt the absence of most of his life)... so... could be pretty intense![break][break]
[break][break][break][break]
Part of Sadie's background is that she once had a "perfect" life. Perfect husband, house, and a perfect baby. But she wasn't really made for it and she never found motherhood to be as easy and natural as most women said it would be. After an incident most would see as "blatant negligence" (left purposely vague in case we want to decide exactly what happened), she was divorced, her ex-husband was awarded custody of their daughter, and she skedaddled and rebuilt her life in Los Eurosia. She would be hard-pressed to mention to anyone, ever, what her life looked like before. And would get real edgy and defensive, were someone to do some background on her and bring up her kid and all that. [break][break]
Now, the plot idea with this involves some time-travel shenanigans. My thinking is that her daughter, Junebug (you can rename), somehow comes back to the present time as an adult. Maybe it's an accident. Maybe it's on purpose. Maybe she herself has a time-traveling gift or maybe it was someone else. Either way, she finds her Mom and they get to know one another. [break][break]
As for what life looked like for Junebug, between Mercedes' present and her present, that's entirely up to you. Did she and Sadie ever get to know one another when she was growing up? Did Junebug make an attempt at some point and Mercedes shut it down? Did her dad remarry and she had a fairly normal life? Or was it bad? What did her family and her father say about her mother? Maybe Sadie died at some point, with Junebug never really knowing her, and Junebug wants to prevent that? Maybe she seeks her Mom out because she's angry... blames her somehow for being a little fucked up over never knowing her/being abandoned/hurt? Or maybe it's more light-hearted and hopeful, where she just wants to hang out and pal around with the woman who was such a mystery to her for most of her life? Tons of options![break][break]
Any which way, we can play around with whatever! All of Junebug's details are open. I think it'd be cool if she was around Sadie's age now (or maybe a little younger). And I think it'd be cool if they ended up being friends, with Junebug never letting on who she is to Sadie and Sadie never really asking those sorts of questions or suspecting. But... y'know... eventually... it would be terrible fun for the truth to come out and for things to become a huge shit-storm. [break][break]
But! Just a vague plot concept! Hmu if the idea strikes you and we can play around with motives or whatever other details or ideas you'd like! c: One suggested PB is Florence Pugh, just cause I keep seeing cute baby pics of her and she seems like a lot of fun lmao~

I've detailed some general idea of Michael's brother and sister below but, in addition to them, there's the Vael parents and Marianne's daughter, Abigail (who wears Michael's tattoo in his place </3)! There's also Marianne's husband (unless someone adopts Marianne and decides to cut him out of the picture, lmao). They all live/work on the Vael ranch. Most of their details can be tweaked/played with, so if you're interested in picking up anyone, don't be afraid to run your own spins by me!It'd make me insanely happy lmao.

[attr="class","wanted_title"]for Luck Harris
UNKNOWN FAMILY
LOTS OF POSSIBILITIES / COUSINS OR HALF-SIBLINGS?
[attr="class","wanted_div"]
- Maternal Family: It's possible that Luck's mother had people before Luck. Maybe she was the black-sheep of the family? Maybe there's some family controversy? Maybe it was her choice to cut everyone off or maybe she was ostracized. Whatever which way, if they existed, she never talked about them. And Luck learned at a very young age to stop asking. Maybe his mother had sisters and/or brothers who ended up having kids? Luck has cousins who end up finding him? We could brainstorm what that might look like. They could be from anywhere (I imagine his mother put quite a bit of distance between her and them, though)! Her life "before him" is a huge mystery/unknown to him.
- Paternal Family: Maybe some half-siblings? Luck has never known his father. Not even his name. His mother never answered questions about him and never spoke of him. And, growing up, it was a big source of turmoil for Luck. He had to help his mother a lot (they were dirt-poor and both worked exhaustively) and most people his age always had their Dads to teach them stuff and bail them out of trouble and he just... didn't. He has lots of repressed feelings about it, even as old as he is now. He'd probably blame the guy for her death a bit, in that — had he been around, maybe his mother wouldn't have worked so hard; maybe the stress and all that was what killed her. [break][break]
In any case, his father could have known about Luck or not at all. He could have lived in the same small town as Luck the whole time (which would be infuriating to learn), or he could have moved on/just been passing through. His relationship with Luck's mother could be anything. Something fleeting and impersonal. Could have been an affair. Or something more that he ran from. Or something that Luck's mother ran from (which would be a big surprise for Luck). All up in the air! But it's possible he went on to have another family (or multiple, who knows lol). It would be crazy for Luck to learn about him. To see pictures of him. The Dad could be alive or he could be dead, too. Doesn't matter. He could be a really good guy, he could be a really bad guy. Whatever! We can play around with it! The only thing I sort of really desire for the father is that he was a sort of angry/belligerent drunk when he drank. Whether he was an alcoholic, though, is open. He could have been in his youth. He could have gotten better as he got older. But that sort of thing is always something Luck has wondered about him — whether he was a drinker.

[attr="class","wanted_title"]for Michael Vael
THE VAEL FAMILY
EX-BLACKSTORM / RELUCTANTLY GUILD-AFFILIATED
[attr="class","wanted_div"]
The Vael family owns a generations-old ranch outside of Los Eurosia that was once a Gifted "haven/sanctuary". They were all pretty involved with Blackstorm. Then the Guild got their claws in them and now use their homestead as a lure for Gifted. The first task they were given when the Guild took over was killing Colton Lowe (Emmeline Lowe 's brother). [break][break]Further information (a snippet from Michael's application):
Michael and his family were "assimilated" into the Guild a little over a year ago. They were essentially given the choice to be killed or to be used and, after some initial resistance, they opted for the latter. Before, the Vaels operated a family ranch that had a low-key/down-low reputation of being a "Gifted haven/sanctuary". A place that offered safety and understanding (or perhaps just room and supper) to wayward or displaced Gifted individuals, be it for only a couple of days or longer.[break][break]
When the Guild caught wind of this, they initially moved to destroy it. But upon discovering the useful Gifts of the family (especially Mike and his brother)... and contemplating the convenience of their homestead being an established "beacon" for Gifted... they stilled their hand.[break][break]
In the year since then, the Vael ranch has been forced to maintain its reputation as a Gifted haven/sanctuary. Only now it's more falsity than truth. They're a lure. The Guild themselves sort of "advertise" the homestead; peddling their whispered existence through whatever underground channels they think might entice Gifted to seek the ranch out. For his part, Michael tries his best to be as unfriendly/unobliging as possible and send off anyone who shows up, but often the Guild has operatives on the ranch who ensure the gate always opens.[break][break]
The ranch is also utilized as a sort of Guild "safehouse" when needed, though the Vael family isn't usually very pleased/accommodating about it.[break][break]
Michael and his brother, better known in the Guild as "Duck" and "Goose" (respectively), are called upon to assist in hunting assignments semi-frequently. With Michael's reactive adaption and power immunity, he makes an effective tool against Gifted with mental abilities that others can't get close to. And his brother's ability of power absorption/nullification has its obvious perks. They are often dubbed the "Mercy Brothers", as they usually advocate/plea/beg for their target(s) to simply desist, surrender, and be stripped of their Gift rather than be killed.[break][break]
(Due to his Gifts, a Guild tattoo wouldn't have any effect on Michael. Because of this, the bastards tattooed his eight-year-old niece in his place. She pays the price for any/all of his failures and/or disobedience.)
Most of their details can be tweaked/played with, so if you're interested in picking up anyone, don't be afraid to run your own spins by me!
[break][break]
*
[break]DANIEL VAEL
34 - GIFTED W/ POWER ABSOPRTION
- Gifted with Power Absorption. This is a power that would have to be bought from the Power Shop (so we'd have to play without it for a while until you can afford it). He can have a second power if you'd like! With their Gifts, both Michael and Daniel are often pulled into Guild hunting assignments. Very, very reluctantly. I gave him the "Goose" tattoo/name, but obviously you can change that.
- Grew up close with Colton Lowe. When the Vael and Lowe families had their falling out, Daniel followed his father's lead and cut ties. How Daniel really felt about/dealt with the split is entirely up to you (but I imagine it wasn't as easy as he made it appear). Especially when, years later, the Vael family murdered him.
- As the first son, I imagine Daniel was always under his parents' thumbs a teensy bit more than Michael. Expected to be the head of the ranch after them. Probably pressured at plenty of points to settle down, get married, have babies, and all that (whether he did is up to you — marry him off, make more Vael grandkids if you want, or give him his reasons for never doing so! Whatever you want!)
- The relationship between him and Michael as I imagine it is a really strong one. No doubt they grew up fighting/scrapping (and probably still do on occasion). I like to think that, when it's just the two of them, Daniel loosens up a bit. Will let Michael pull him into a bit of trouble just as often as he is wrenching Michael out of it. Maybe, just maybe, Daniel's a little wild like Michael (and was just never given as much freedom/"that boy is gonna do what that boy is gonna do" leave as he was). Maybe there's a tiny bit of deeply-buried resentment for the fact? [break][break]
In any case, they never pull punches with one another. Never hesitate to start that fight. Probably go periods without talking to and hating each other. Definitely still have their knock-out brawls every now and again. But, in the end, they'll have each others' back. Pick each other up from bars. Play wingman to one another. Maybe even have quiet conversations in rare moments of vulnerability/struggle.
[break][break]
*
[break]MARIANNE KREHL
29 - GIFTED W/ POWER SENSING
- Gifted with Power Sensing. I don't imagine that the Guild forces her on assignments like they do Michael and Daniel but I do imagine she is looked at to confirm if anyone showing up at the ranch is Gifted. And she was probably tested by them more than a few times when they first took over. They probably staged some Gifted arrivals and punished her quite extensively if she lied. She can have a second power if you'd like! She has a tattoo as well, but I didn't name it/her in Michael's bio. I like the idea of the whole family being "birds" of some sort, but you can really choose whatever you want!
- Marianne married and had her daughter when she was pretty young. Right now I'm playing the narrative like she is still married, but... if you'd rather her be single/divorced then that's totally fine! She definitely has the support system from her family to raise Abigail on her own. But maybe she's happy still with her relationship? Or maybe it was too fast and fell apart once Abigail was born? All entirely up to you!
- I like to imagine Marianne was a wild one when she was a little girl (but def more reserved and grounded than both of her brothers). I like to think she's super f*cking funny too. She's probably a little "doormat"-ish when it comes to her parents and their opinions on her life, what she does, and what they expect from her. Probably always gives in to whatever they say in the end. Maybe she feels a little trapped? Maybe she regrets the life she's written herself into now? Or maybe she really did always want to be a Mom and all that. Again, all up to however you want to play her!
- Grew up practically inseparable from Emmeline Lowe . Then wedged a slow drift between them when the two families had their falling out and her parents kept expressing their disapproval. Lots of wistful feelings about the whole thing, surely.
- Marianne was the one to kill Colton Lowe. And I imagine she's struggling hard with it. And I can see her having a lot of frequently "dark and moody" days where she withdraws and can't stand anyone. She's not a murderer. But she is. Shit's heavy, no doubt.
