makes me wonder who you are WHEN YOU SPIT THESE LIES She sat alone, sipping on her harsh, black coffee that had now gone cold. She wasn't even there for the caffeine - more of a distraction. She'd hoped the pleasant songs of the birds could have drowned out the sorrowful screaming in her mind - but thus far, no such luck. She hadn't even wanted to harm the woman, let alone kill her. But that was a consequence of working for the Sector - not that Mallyce had much choice. At the time, agreeing to sign her soul away to the Sector had been the only way to save her life. These sorts of days, she wondered if death would've been more peaceful.
The night had been cold, and Mallyce was tasked with finding and 'bringing to justice' a gifted thief who had gathered too much attention around herself, and made too many messes for her fellow agents to clean up. With so many complaints and the possibility of others finding about gifted beings, the woman had to be silenced. However, upon attempting to apprehend her, Mallyce realized she was going to put up a fight. She had prior been given her orders - bring her in to speak with someone higher in the rankings than herself, or get rid of her. The woman had left her no option, and Mallyce had sent her up in flames - literally. It pained her that the incineration piece of her gift didn't work so easily on living things - instead she had to simply burn them alive, making the experience more painful for both parties.
Her phone rang, "Mallyce Finch," she answered shortly after quickly sweeping it up to her ear. She sighed, "Alright, I'll be in as soon as I can." She closed the screen and quickly gathered her things together, spinning around to meet another person straight away, leaving them soaked in her dark bean water. "Oh I am so so so sorry!" @open
