Shapeshifter: Jacob is able to specifically canine animals that he's seen at least once or any person he's studied close enough. The better he knows the canine, the more time he's spent with it, the more accurate he can take the shape and the longer he can take it. There is one animal he can turn into without having ever spent time with one and that is his wolf form that he inherited from his parents who were also both wolf shifters. If he studies a person closely enough, gets to know them very well he can transform into them as well but he can't do so for long and it takes a heavy toll on his body. Transforming into another person takes longer to do and doesn't last longer than twentyfour hours. Once he changes back he becomes violently ill and incredibly weak and can't shift at all for a few days.
However, even in his human form he still has many of his wolf traits. He can track a person or animal down based on just their smell, he's faster on foot than most humans, has more sensitive hearing, his body temperature runs hotter (around 108 fahrenheit) so he's rarely cold, and he has a higher stamina and endurance than most humans.

OVERALL APPEARANCE: Jacob is by all accounts the definition of a "Pretty Boy". From his soft dirty blonde hair to the saunter in his walk. He is a confident, charming, and handsome young man. And probably worst of all yet, he knows it. Given he hasn't always been known to be the brightest bulb in the box he's often had to use his looks and his silver tongue to get him in and out of trouble. He spends a lot of time making sure his hair sits right, works out regularly to keep his body in the shape he wants it, and is always very careful with the clothing he chooses. He's very proud and confident in the way he looks and it often shows, perhaps a little too much.
He's pretty average height but his skin always sports some kind of tan from all the time he spends outside. He has the "sweet puppy eyes" look down to a science at this point. He has rough, working man hands carrys himself with a with a sort of easy confidence and laid back, often playful composure.

STRENGTHS:
Calm Under Pressure: Jacob rarely ever loses his cool. He's doesn't have much of a temper and doesn't get shaken easily. In situations most people might find stressful or even terrifying he remains cool and is able to think rationally.
Friendly: Jacob loves meeting new people and is always very open and accepting of pretty much anyone he comes into contact with. He's always up for making people feel included and has a way about him that brings a sort of ease to most groups he's in.
Good Listener: If you need someone to vent to, a shoulder to cry on, or even a sound board to get your ideas out on Jacob is your man. He's a very attentive and active listener and is always happy to sit back and let someone spill their soul out to him. Even in a crowd of people if someone feels like no one is listening to them Jacob will make it known they've got his ear.
Dependable: Need someone to help move your couch? Need a wingman for a night out at the club? Need a fake date to bring to your family dinner so your parents stop asking about who you're dating? Need an alibi for some sketchy shit you're trying not to get caught for? Jacob's your guy. Especially to friends and loved ones he's the kind of man to drop whatever he's doing to come to the rescue. Whether that's picking someone up from the club cause their drunk and their friends abandoned them or going on an dare devil adventure he's always up to help.
WEAKNESSES:
Conceited: Jacob cares probably a bit too much about his appearance. While he's not afraid of a little dirt or some hard work he spends a lot of time making sure he looks his best. He also generally thinks he's more attractive than most people. Not that he doesn't find other people attractive he's just vain enough to think he's usually better looking. There's few people he's met that he thinks look as good, let alone better, than him.
Not That Bright: Jacob has never been a very smart man and it's one of his biggest insecurities. He takes longer to learn and understand things most other people around him find easy, he doesn't catch onto things quickly, and he often takes even jokes seriously. Normally when this is pointed out to him he'll laugh it off or call himself dumb but it's a hit to his pride as it seems no matter how hard he's tried he's normally always one step behind everyone else.
Explosive: Jacob doesn't have a bad temper. It takes a lot to get under his skin and he's normally more than willing to shrug things off. Once he does lose his temper though it's never good. He becomes irrational, violent, he can't think straight and seems only focused on causing as much destruction and harm to the object of his anger as he can. It's not easy to calm him down when he gets to this point. He becomes akin to a rabid, feral animal and even once he seems to calm down a little he will still spend hours or even days just seething with more anger that if provoked can set him off again in a flash.
Closed Off: Jacob is a very friendly man and many people would consider him a good friend of theirs, but he rarely ever actually opens up. He puts up a good front of being a happy, fun loving, easy going guy that many people get along with. He's a smooth talker and a great listener but he rarely ever actually talks about himself, his past, or his emotions. He doesn't like making himself vulnerable and doesn't usually let people in. This often leaves him feeling really empty and alone because never feels like he can really trust someone and let them see who he really is.
OVERALL PERSONALITY:
Jacob is basically just a big, sweet pup. He's always been very outgoing and loves nothing more than a good adventure. Whether that's running through the forest or going out for a night of drinking and dancing or even hopping a fence to swim in a strangers pool. He's known to make fast friends with pretty much anyone he meets. He's always been very hard working and never afraid to get his hands dirty. He's normally the first to volunteer for projects he knows most people won't want to do. He's always willing to lend a helping hand when he can, to a point he often winds up burning the candle at both ends. While he's very hard working he also doesn't take much seriously. Whether that's threats, insults, or just a bad day. It takes a lot to really get under his skin so he's very rarely seen as ever stressed or angry. Because of his very calm and laid back attitude he works very well under pressure. A building could be collapsing around him and he would still be working calmly and efficiently to get everyone out.
Once he does blow his top though it's never a pretty sight. Given that he's normally such a calm person Jacob doesn't handle his own anger very well. He's never really learned how to control it. When he does get really angry he explodes. He becomes unhinged, violent, and unpredictable. All he sees is red and all he can focus on is doing as much destruction and damage to the object of his rage as he can. Once he gets to this point it takes time for him to calm back down. Even after he seems to physically relax he will often still be seething with anger for hours or even days after where he's quicker to be set off all over again. For this very reason Jacob doesn't like feeling angry. He doesn't like feeling wild and out of control. He's always quick to apologize once his mind is right again to anyone he wound up hurting he didn't mean to in the process. For as silly, level headed, and laid back of a person he normally is Jacob is someone who likes to be in control of himself and his emotions. And anger just isn't one he's really gotten a hold of yet.
Despite that he's a very loving and dependable guy. He loves helping others and doing what he can for those that need him. Whether that's getting up at 3am to go get a drunk girl from a bar and take her back to her house after her friends abandoned her or even bailing one of his buddies out of jail. He's only ever one phone call away and so long as he's not in the process of helping someone else he'll drop what he's doing in a heartbeat to come to the rescue. He's a very active listener and does his best to make everyone in a group feel seen and included or just offer some one on one companionship. If it's venting, info dumping, excited ranting, he's always willing to lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on. Despite how many people consider him a close friend Jacob often feels very lonely. While he's always there for others he rarely really opens up to anyone else. He doesn't like being a burden and wants to remain the happy-go-lucky guy everyone expects him to be. He's afraid of really opening himself up to someone. Of being vulnerable and raw to someone else because they might not like what they see. So he keeps people at a safe distance.

Jacob was born the oldest son to a soon to be large family. They lived in a very small town in Texas called Marble Falls. A rural town with no more than eight thousand people in it in total. His father, Marcus Willis, was the pack leader of the local wolf shifters that was four hundred strong. The pack ran the town. Nobody knew what they were but everyone knew not to fuck with them. There were rumors of course but there was never concrete evidence. Marcus was known to be a wildly violent man, especially when he drank. There were a few people that tried to challenge his authority but none of them survived it. Eventually people stopped trying. The census seemed to be to just wait until he died, likely of some kind of alcohol poisoning. Despite how wild he could be he did take care of his pack. He worked hard, even with the worst hang overs. When he wasn't drunk he really did care for his people. He could be a good father, a loving husband, and an upstanding leader. But that alcohol was a vile mistress. Lisa tried to spare her children the worst of it. She never let them see how violent he got at home.
When Jacob was sixteen it all came to a head. His father went too far and struck one of his younger sisters in front of him and his brother Issac. Issac was only fourteen at the time, Jacob didn't want him involved. But when Jacob attacked his father it became an informal challenge, one he wasn't ready for. Jacob didn't want a fight, he just wanted to make his father stop. But Marcus didn't hold back. Issac stepped in to help his brother but he wasn't any more prepared than Jacob was. In a blind, drunk rage Marcus killed his son Issac. Just like he had challengers before. That was the first time Jacob really lost his temper. Seeing his younger brothers lifeless body on the ground, something inside him snapped. Jacob went into a blind, unforgiving rage and attacked his father. Lisa held her baby in her arms while her oldest son and her mate's fighter got more and more violent. Until finally, with a wicked snap and a quick yelp Marcus went limp.
It was a bloody and gruesome scene. One that Jacob didn't come out unscathed from. After he recovered the pack wanted to look to him as their new leader, but that wasn't what he wanted. He was still a child, he didn't know how to be a leader. He was also mourning the loss and guilt that came with the death of his brother and even his father. And despite everything his mother had now lost her son and her mate and she too was hurting. Jacob didn't know what to do. He felt like a monster. He wasn't ready, nor did he think he was good enough to be the leader of the pack. So he ran. Without saying a word, not even a goodbye to his family, he ran away. He hitchhiked his way through several states. Spent some time just living in the wild in his wolf form. Until when he was eighteen he found himself in Los Eurosia. For a while he stayed hidden in the woods still as his wolf form until he felt comfortable eough to come out. He worked a few jobs here and there as a mechanic, a construction worker, even a bartender. Until he finally decided to join the force. Now he's seen as a bright eyed new rookie. Eager to do his best.
