Felicity had just finished her morning run, her petite frame moving swiftly through the neighborhood as the cool breeze played with her blonde hair. With a satisfied smile, she decided to stop by her bakery for a quick coffee. Even on her days off, the pull of her beloved shop was irresistible. As she entered the bakery, the familiar aroma of freshly baked goods and coffee enveloped her. She waved at her staff, exchanging a few quick greetings before heading to the counter. Running always helped clear her mind, especially with her electrokinesis sometimes acting up. It was a gift, but controlling it could be tricky. Thankfully, she was getting better at it, little by little. Grabbing her coffee, Felicity took a moment to enjoy the ambiance of her bakery. It was bustling with customers, the kind of energy she thrived on. Sipping her coffee, she felt a sense of pride and contentment. She hoped everyone would enjoy the new recipes she had been working on. Today’s special featured item was a crème brûlée latte and donut. With a smile, she took a seat by the window, ready to relax and watch the world go by. Tag: Walter Bell

❝ we never got to finish the book of you and i... One of Walt’s job benefits is that he practically got free coffee every single day. He was good at what he did and was familiar with his coffee house’s kitchen, he didn’t need anything else to fulfill his ever-growing caffeine addiction. Today, though, Walter was feeling adventurous. He knew that there were countless other coffee shops around town, and though his manager warned him to stay away from competition, he was extremely curious. Of course, he had been to other coffee shops during his time in Los Eurosia, but not many; only when he was first exploring job opportunities in the city. But Walter wanted to get to know the city more, and to do that, he had to take a gander around at the competition. Today was the day! With that, he set off along the streets, looking up at all the signs in hopes to find something that caught his eye. Eventually, something did catch Walter’s attention. What he saw was more than just a coffee house, oh no; it was a full blown bakery. “Oh yeah,” Walt said to himself, “this one’s the winner.” With that, he took a step inside. He was immediately greeted with the pleasant smell of freshly baked pastries and coffee, along with the warm aura that filled the entire shop. It was similar to the vibe that Walt got to experience every day at the Rhythms Cafe, but somehow it felt a little more… authentic. He could almost sense the blood, sweat and tears that went into making this place as great as it was, and Walt seemed to admire that, even though he knew nothing about the history of the shop. After quickly scanning the menu, he decided to try the daily special, and as he took a sip while making his way to a window seat, his eyes widened a bit in surprise. The coffee here was stellar, almost as good as his own handiwork. He had to find the creator of this recipe. As he sat down at the seat he was aiming for, he noticed a woman sitting across from him a couple seats over. Making eye contact with her, he raised his cup and jiggled it around slightly, starting to make some small talk. “Good stuff, huh? Perfect for a morning like this.”[googlefont=Open+Sans]

Of course one of the perks of owning her own coffee shop and bakery, was her access to copious amounts of caffeinated beverages and delightful pastries. It was crazy to believe she had managed to pull off keeping her business afloat, but she chalked a lot of it to her awesome staff and the fun everyone had in contributing to new menu items. In the summer months especially, there was always some fun new take on a drink or menu item. Sitting with her favorite white chocolate espresso in hand, she was enjoying watching the coming and going of customers. The regulars of course offered her smiles and a friendly wave. That was her favorite part of her business; the people she got to know all because they enjoyed a cup of coffee or pastries from her little shop. Well, aside from the actual baking. She did rather enjoy that process. Sipping on her drink, Felicity couldn’t help but raise a brow as a guy sat a few seats away with his drink and spoke to her. Of course she couldn’t help but smile. “Oh, I couldn’t agree with you more.” She lifted her own drink with a nod and then found herself easing up from the seat and approaching him with a raised brow. “Do you mind if I ask which drink you went with?” She couldn’t help but be curious, it was always nice to hear which drinks were receiving such positive feedback. And then realized just waltzing on over might seem a touch odd. “Oh, sorry I don’t mean to be nosy. I work here and like knowing which drinks are worth keeping on the menu.” Of course trying to be a bit more modest than simply admitting it was in fact; her business.
