POWERS: Technology ManipulationAcker cannot create technology by using his gift, but he can manipulate it. Manipulation doesn't mean changing the structure or shape of the piece of technology, but making it do what he wills it if it is applicable. For example, let's say that he wants to change the radio channel then he can do it by just thinking about it, however he cannot make the radio dance the macarena because the radio doesn't posses legs to dance with.
The device he wants to manipulate must have at least a technological component for the power to work, for instance he wouldn't be able to make a gun stop shooting if the gun doesn't have some kind of piece of technology (like a chip). So, the older the gun the greater the chance Nicholas cannot manipulate it.
Acker doesn't need to touch the device in order to manipulate it, but manipulation is tiring and the power can cause side effects if Acker uses his power for too long. Side effects may include: headaches, nosebleeds and other symptoms can vary.

OVERALL APPEARANCE:
Acker's appearance and mannerisms change with his mood. His distinguish features are his moustache and glasses. He usually wears black with slick black glasses. Sometimes he shaves his head, lets his moustache grow, wears googles and wears a combination of black and red. His facial expressions and body language are sometimes louder than his words.

OVERALL PERSONALITY: No matter what he is wearing or his appearance, his mannerisms can be eccentric a moment and serious the next depending on the circumstances. If he is dealing with an employee then he would treat them like a minion, especially his assistant, but in general his tolerance of people is not very high especially if he considers the person unintelligent. He hates boredom, so much so that he thinks boredom can kill him, in fact if alone and doing nothing then he can be found entertaining himself in any way, from reading a book to dancing or singing just to name a few. He is not shy and often speaks his mind. He loves spending time inventing and testing his inventions. Also, he loves power and knowledge. He wants to find other gifted and study their powers. He believes that gifted are superior to powerless humans and that gifted shouldn't have to hide, but instead rule over powerless humans.

HISTORY:
Acker's intelligence started showing early in his life, he waltzed through school and graduated university with a doctorate in Robotics Engineering. He is the opposite of his parents and brother, also the only one in his family with a power. His family is social, jovial and good spirited, there is always a party at the Villin's home. Both mother and father come from wealthy families, the type of wealth that works for you and not the other way around. In fact, Acker's family don't have jobs per se, they are great investors. They are also involved in the local community, and well known charity fundraisers.
Why paraphrasing all this? To show how different Acker is, even though he has a family that loves him. He never fitted among his family and soon left to pursue his studies. Acker chose to dedicate his life to robotics because of his power which showed up for the first time while he was working alone in the university's lab. He was practising on a robotic arm for a performance exam when he was focusing about the robot arm's inner workings, all of a sudden the robotic arm started moving by itself which was exactly what he was working on: making the robotic arm move by itself, the power made it happen.
It didn't take long for Acker to realise that he had a power and what kind of power. He realised the potential of his power and decided to go into business by inventing robotic machines. The business is very lucrative thanks to his power. Acker is a problem solver, he solves problems using his machines. Also, he wants to study gifted and their powers, so he has been trying to invent a machine that can detect gifted blood/DNA, his experiments aren't very ethical.
Acker tries to spend less time as possible with his family, and even bought an home isolated from the rest at Grey Peeble. Isolation is key considering that he invents and experiments at home, or better under it in an area that he designed himself. Acker is keeping his power a secret, sometimes he has to deal with hunters who have found out about his power somehow, but his machines have won so far.
