Nicholas Acker Villin comes from a wealthy family which has been residing in Los Eurosia for generations. His family is actually well-known around Los Eurosia for their involvement in the local community and their charity fundraising. However, Acker is the black sheep in his family, to use a cliche, he is not a good person. Also the only Gifted in his family, his power is Technology Manipulation, he can manipulate technology and electronics. He has a doctorate in Robotics Engineering and invents robotic machines/technological devices that are far advanced than current technology thanks to his power.

- - PLATONIC

Let's just say that Acker doesn't enjoy making friends. He has acquaintances that he finds useful for a reason or another, but nothing more really. He has people working for him, but they are not his friends, he sees them as minions. His Assistant may be regarded as his only friend, but good luck getting Acker to admit it.

- - ANTAGONISTIC

Anyone standing in his way is an enemy. Especially anyone who tries to reverse engineering his devices which is almost impossible to do without his power. Also, anyone who tries to look into his business (like investigators, detectives, journalists, agents, etc), or anyone trying to steal anything related to his job (like a thief sneaking into his home to try stealing one of his devices). Oh, he instantly dislikes anyone who calls him Nik.

- - ROMANTIC

Ah! Who would want to be in a relationship with him? Seriously. It wouldn't be one of those healthy relationships. Nonetheless, he is a sapiosexual, meaning that he is attracted to intelligence, he doesn't care about the gender of the person. The person Acker is the most attracted to is his Assistant, but he hasn't really realised this yet.


- - PLOT HOOKS

• Clients: Anyone can try to hire him to solve a problem, or because in need of his technology. His business deals with lawful/non-violent jobs. But, he can also be hired in private to deal with more violent and non-lawful jobs. For instance, a client hired Acker to examine a person the client believed to be Gifted, this Gifted is still officially missing.
• The Sector: Acker has worked for the government before, in a freelancer basis, so the Sector may hire him to deal with Gifted issues. Also, The Sector may find out that Acker himself is a Gifted and try to make him collaborate for testing purposes, however he would refuse because he wants to keep his Gifted status a secret which can lead to animosity. So, an Agent can hire Villin or try to test on him (the Agent can try to blackmail Acker by threatening to reveal his power to the public, but Acker would retaliate). Also the government may be interested in how his technology works and try to reverse engineering which would lead to retaliation.
• Hunters: Acker had to deal with Hunters before. He knows how to hide his tracks, but no one is perfect and slips happen, especially considering that he has been using his power for decades. Hunters rightfully think that Acker is dangerous and have tried to kill him. So, plot hooks here could be a Hunter trying to end Acker's life. If the Hunter is a Gifted then another plot hook could be the Hunter getting caught by Acker.
• Blackstorm: Acker knows about the movement, but he is too individualistic to join any movement. However, a Blackstorm member can try to convince him to join, especially because Acker believes that Gifted shouldn't hide, but he also believes that Gifted should rule over Humans. He is trying to discover who the leader of the Blackstorm is.
• Humans: People can be dull, especially ones with no powers. However, Acker has to deal with them from time to time. If a human is especially intelligent then Acker may find them interesting. Plot hooks can be anyone trying to look into his business, or anyone trying to steal one of his devices. Any Human who wants to study Gifted and experiment on them can try asking Acker for help which can be a plot hook. Another plot idea can be a detective/anyone looking into the missing Gifted that Acker has been examining. Also, anyone who knows his family could be contacting him due to family obligations related to local community/charity.
• Gifted: Acker is extremely interested in Gifted individuals because he wants to examine them. Be warned: his experiments aren't ethical and he doesn't care much about the Gifted well-being, he only cares about the results. Plot idea can be Acker catching a Gifted and examining them.
• Outside: Plots taking place outside of Los Eurosia can be during one of his jobs. It could be anything, from Acker using his technology in a battlefield to end a dispute, or meeting a client outside Los Eurosia.
• Not Just Evil: Acker is not just evil, no one is. In fact, he works with medical research to try using technology as a treatment for some ailments. Also, he works with emergency services to use his technology for better equipment at a lower cost or completely free. So, this plot hook is about Acker working with a doctor and/or an officer. It could be during an emergency or during a lesson to instruct how to use the technological devices. These are just two ideas, if anyone has better ideas then please feel free to plot them!
• Charities Events: The Villins often organise charities events, Acker has to attend some of them, so our characters could meet during a charity event.
• Other Plots: If you have an idea of your own that you'd like to rp with my character then please let me know!

ABOUT

Amaia, or Amy, is a detective working at the Los Eurosia police department. She was a consultant before becoming a detective. She only worked with a small group of officers who knew about her power, but they managed to keep her anonymity as a consultant and power a secret. The small group also helped her become a detective by being her mentors. She has decided to become a detective because of her power: she can have visions of people's deaths or anything else that can die.

PLATONIC

Amaia would like having friends, but she keeps friends and family at a distance because she doesn't want to accidentally hurt them. She thinks that her power might have a negative effect towards the people she cares the most, like marking them for death. She doesn't know if it's true or not, but she doesn't want to risk it. But, a support system is necessary dealing with death, so I'd like for Amy to have that. A sort of Scooby Gang. Amy always tries to see the best in people and can't help but feel empathy even towards ones who don't deserve it.

ANTAGONISTIC

Any criminal arrested by her can be considered antagonistic. If your character is doing something illegal then their relationship wouldn't start on the best of terms. However, Amy understands that the world is different shades of grey, so she would offer to help your character get their life together. However, if your character hurts innocents then they would definitively be antagonistic. Of course, Hunters who go after Gifted would be labelled antagonistic too.

ROMANTIC

Actually, I don't have much to say about this one because I'd like to explore Amy's sexuality while rping. So, maybe your character could be the right suitor or maybe not, let's find out!

PLOT HOOKS

• Freeze: Catching Hunters red-handed and arresting them. She has visions of people's deaths, it is plausible that some of these visions are about Hunters going after their Gifted victims.
• Detective Conan: Working with other officers, it could be an investigation or training together, or anything in between really.
• Death: Having a vision about your character's death (of course the vision wouldn't come true in this instance).
• Scooby Gang: I'd like for Amy to actually come out of her shell and start making friends. She doesn't have many because she tries to keep everyone at a distance just in case her power could have negative effects on the people she cares about.
• Salem: Salem is Amy's cat, it was a stray that made his way into her heart and home. However, there could be more to this cat, maybe it's another Gifted or maybe it's some sort of familiar. There could be something more to this cat then just being a pet.
• Other Plots: If you have an idea of your own that you'd like to rp with my character then please let me know!

Nicholas and Deacon

They're both individualistic individuals that sometimes can be up to no good. While I doubt they'll have much in common to strike an indepth conversation, Deacon knows more than he lets on about Gifted, comes from an old family of gifteds and works with a biker gang that has their share of gifted amongst their ranks and his powers could be insteresting to Nicholas, after all Deacon is at worst a walking battery, at best a force of nature. Maybe Nicholas needs some muscle for a job? Or Deacon can help him in his hunt for another gifted, Nicholas could easily entice him by offering an advanced battery or something like that.

Ohh! I can see Acker and Deacon becoming allies!

We could have a thread in which Acker might suspect that Deacon is a Gifted and wants to investigate (maybe Deacon absorbed energy from one of Acker's machines without knowing it belonged to Acker). Acker owns a few bikes, he could bring one to Deacon with the pretence that he wants to upgrade his vehicle. Also, Acker is working on lasting batteries so Acker and Deacon could work together on that front if Acker finds out about his power (he wouldn't try to unethically examine Deacon if he sees him as an ally, he would only examine him with Deacon's permission).

Considering that Acker would probably hire Deacon more than once if they become allies, Acker could make a machine for Deacon to absorb energy from as a sort of payment, perhaps the machine is solar powered or something (although it would be powered more efficiently than current technology thanks to Acker's power) and Deacon can absorb energy from the machine. A constant power supply.

Like you suggested, we could have a thread where Acker hires Deacon to catch a Gifted. In this thread Acker would already know of Deacon's powers and hires him specifically because of his powers. Also, I could see Deacon's Electrokinesis power backfire because it could interfere with Acker's machines which would complicate things during the job (perhaps Acker himself gets accidentally hurt by Deacon's Electrokinesis).

Oh also, I have three open threads in AU, one is a Silent Hill/Los Eurosia combination (Los Eurosia gets very Silent Hill like lol), the other one is an SCP/videogame Control combination and the last one takes place in Gotham City (portals are opening all around Los Eurosia and taking people to Gotham City, Acker found himself in the Riddler's hideout...and yes I got inspiration after watching the latest Batman movie xD).

I like your idea! Deacon works on both cars and bikes if you're going with the repair shop route, we should start with this and them work our way to the other ideas like hunting a gifted! Deacon would help around with the battery, he might not be a genius like Acker but he has enough control of his Elektrokinesis to finetune a device, perhaps they could even be the first ones to come up with a reliable way to harness energy from lightning. As for how Acker found out that Deacon was gifted, we could go with your idea about Deacon using one of Acker's machines to recharge without knowing it was Acker's. He could track down Deacon on the shop on the pretenses for a repair and maybe Acker could have placed a battery that would act up with Deacon's power, revealing his gift.

Okay, so reading through some of your threads and info, I noticed Acker is trying to develope tech to detect gifted. It happens to be one of Maddie's gifts. Idk how they'd come across each other, but if he wanted to test on her, I'm sure that could stir up some drama. She would also probably tell her brother, Mason Lancaster , and that could lead to Mason trying to confront him? No clue how that would go, but it could be fun...

So Genie could be hunting Acker, and be one of the ones he captures? She tries to disappear whenever a hunt feels like it's going poorly, and she would definitely try that with him when she realizes all the tech he has at his disposal.

Just a warning that I'm starting my character from scratch, meaning that all the stuff that happened to him before didn't happen, sorry if it's confusing! (also English is not my native language).

Acker & Maddison:

However, yes! He is still searching for ways to detect Gifted (so far the only thing getting close is the dogs being able to sniff that something is wrong, like an animal or human "smelling wrong", but it's not 100% accurate).

Soo, it seems that Maddison likes to be associated with powerful people, so that can be a way for them to bond? Acker studies Maddison's power and in exchange Acker helps Maddison in life like paying her college tuition if she wants to go or anything else (like better housing or helping her family, etc). However, Acker is not a good person, and even though he can hide it, I think Maddison would find out about Acker's true nature at some point if they started working together.

Or, another approach could be that Maddison senses Acker's power and he wants to keep it a secret so maybe Maddison sees an opportunity? Like blackmail? However, to be honest I don't know if this is the right approach because blackmailing a powerful person would surely lead to retaliation. I'm trying to keep Acker from killing people as much this time around (killing would be a symptom of him losing his mind...if he starts shaving his head then watch out! lol) however, he could retaliate in other ways, like making her life and her family's life a living hell.

If they worked together then Acker would ask Maddison not to say anything to anyone. But, if he found out that she talked to her brother then he would have to deal with that. However, Mason works for Blackstorm and Acker is interested in finding out who the Blackstorm's leader is.

About how they meet. I have an open thread in Nightlife about Acker bumping into someone and spilling his drink. Perhaps it's your character? She was hired as a server for the charity event?



Acker & Genesis:

Acker lives by himself in his mansion if his assistant is not around (which is the case right now since no one is playing him lol). Meaning that he is alone there, so that's where Genesis approaches him? Not only he would try to catch her to experiment on her, but he would also want to know how Genesis and his Hunter group know about his power. Although, Acker noticed that Hunters seem to find that stuff out, but at least they don't reveal the existence of Gifted like it's nothing considering it would create panic and humans could get hurt (of course, things could be different with your hunter group, I'm not trying to meta-anything!).

About her powers. Acker's power is not used directly on a person, so I don't know how her evolution power would work here. About the invisibility, his dogs could smell her presence, or his technology could scan the area and realise that something not-visible is taking extra space (for example, the scanner could reveal that there is something in front of a door, but it's not visible), unless her invisibility power also makes her incorporeal?

Or, Genesis could approach him while he is with his family or around other people? Whatever way you think your character would approach Acker it's okay with me!

By the way, I don't know if you have ever played a game called "Dishonored" but there is a level taking place in a mansion there and his mansion works in the same way, he engineered the mansion himself to make it work like the Clockwork Mansion in the game. So, Genesis would have to deal with that too. Hey, it's a security feature for when he can't call the police, you know, situations like this one.

I read the open thread. I could definitely work out Maddie being hired on to the catering company and maybe being clumsy enough to knock into Acker (she isn't used to cater waiting, she generally does restaurant work). Mostly what I gathered from the other threads is that he was looking for a way to detect gifts, which happens to be exactly what Maddie can do. Normally she tries not to react when she sense another gifted (both for self preservation and not to freak anyone else out), but she could some how react or give a tell that she knows he's gifted? She doesn't know what gifts another person has, only that they are gifted.

As for being attracted to powerful men, that's generally only if she thinks she can get the upper hand on them. She isn't looking for a sugar daddy necessarily, she just has issues and she likes feeling like she has the power in a dynamic. She hates feeling useless or powerless.

Or, I could just drop her into the open thread and then we could see what happens? I'm okay with my characters getting tested on though, as long as it isn't gonna actually kill them (damage them is alright, but not ready to actually kill them).

As for Mason, he's as clueless as anyone, and he just believes that the gifted shouldn't have to hide who they are. He's carrying a lot of anger and resentment around, a lot directed at himself, and when he was approached with the Blackstorm philosophy he 100% bought in. He wants to help gifted. If he though they were being hurt, he'd be upset.

So for Genie, I generally imagine she gets sent jobs. She doesn't search out targets on her own, she just gets told who to go after and that's what she does. She is used to being controlled and not thinking for herself too much. If she got to Acker's place and thought that it was beyond her capabilities to take him down, she would try to disappear and sneak out unnoticed. Her invisibility doesn't make her actually dematerialize, so she'd still show up on things like heat mapping and (probably) infrared sensors. For her reactive adaptation, I don't think it would come into play here, since he wouldn't be directly using it on her.

Acker & Maddison:

Acker would never be anyone's sugar daddy, it would be more like a business translation: Maddison allows Acker to experiment on her without saying anything, and Acker helps her out. Things work more smoothly if the test subject is cooperative, and she wouldn't be useless in this scenario because of what she would provide for Acker (all that nice scientific data). However, if you'd like for Acker to experiment on her without consent we could do that too, however Acker is very careful about this because he doesn't want people to go around and say that he is a mad scientist with a power...although who would believe anyone saying that with no proof? Acker has a good reputation around town for being a Villin (and also because no one really knows about his true evil nature, he hides that part of himself for obvious reasons).

About the "tell", she could react to the dogs? Or, react in a way that shows there is something wrong? As if there is a weird connection between the dogs and Acker, or anything technological in the room really, like other people's cellphones etc. But, this is just a suggestion.


Acker & Genesis:

Getting out of the mansion unnoticed after getting in is a very difficult task. The house passively scans the area as a security feature and would send a warning to Acker that there is something in the house that doesn't belong in the mansion (like extra space that keeps moving around). Acker would tell the mansion to activate its intruder mode and Genesis would get trapped in (meaning that the exits would get blocked to prevent the intruder from leaving). And then she would have to deal with rooms changing etc like in the Clockwork mansion. Of course, I'd find a way for Genesis to get out if you'd like so! If you are okay with this then we can do this, or we can do something else.

For example, I'd like for Acker to create animatronics for a pizzeria in Los Eurosia. Maybe Genesis can approach him there while Acker is working alone at the pizzeria after-hours and he tests the animatronics on Genesis which would be fun! And Genesis could leave the scene in this scenario.

Acker & Mason:

Maybe they can meet after the thread with Genesis? Blackstorm hears of the attack and offers Mason's services as a bodyguard or something and that's how they meet? Mason likes to help out other Gifted, so he could see Acker as someone in need of help after getting hurt by a hunter. From there Acker can find out about Mason's connection to Maddison. Blackstorm would offer to help as a way to approach Acker in order to recruit him, but it doesn't have to be your character the one who tries to recruit Acker, this could just be the approaching part.

She'd absolutely pick up that there was something going on with the dogs! And if he approached it like he was doing a research study or whatever, since she can tell he's gifted already, she might just go along with it if she doesn't think he's trying to do anything nefarious. Bless her heart, I don't think she has the best survival instincts around, and tends to get into things before fully thinking them through.

Acker and Genie

I'm good with either location, honestly. She would see the inside of his place and try to leave immediately, being all 'I'm way over my head here', and then shenanigans would happen. I'm fine with her being trapped for a bit if you wanted to go that route. Honestly, she keeps such a low profile it's not like anyone would notice for a while anyway.

If you'd rather do the pizzeria that also sounds like it could be really fun. She could have been told/know (maybe info on file from previous hunters) his house is a no go, that it's high tech high security, and she could stealthily follow him to attack there instead.

Acker and Mason

Mason would definitely go check on him after being attacked if he gets wind of it. He'd go patch up anything he could (check on cuts/bruises/whatever injuries would have been sustained). Mason would be inclined to be wary of Acker if he finds out about the testing, especially involving his sister, but as long as she's willing he'd keep his cool about it. As for trying to recruit him, he might try to sway him into joining if someone else has already attempted to recruit Acker.

It makes sense the way you put it! Hunters would probably warn other hunters about the mansion. So, yeah. We can do the pizzeria thread! I can start this if you'd like!

I like that! About the recruitment, Blackstorm has not approached Acker yet, this would be Blackstorm first attempt to approach him. And since first impressions are everything, Acker would see Blackstorm favourably if its first approach is Mason. So, Blackstorm has not tried to recruit Acker yet because this would be the first approach.

Acker would leave the pizzeria before authorities arrive, so Mason can find Acker at the mansion trying to fix himself up because he wouldn't want to go to a hospital. Blackstorm would inform Mason where to go and that this would be a first-approach attempt, if it's okay with you.
