Bouncy dark curls, tan complexion and dark brown eyes grace this slightly above average height female. She keeps a toned and fit figure with a relatively relaxed work out schedule, as well as her work as a trauma surgeon that keeps her on her toes.
She’s got a few scars on her back from the car accident when she was fourteen, though typically not visible unless she’s wearing a crop top or a two piece swimsuit. Another check-mark scar is on the back left side of her neck and is visible when she wears her hair up.

OVERALL PERSONALITY: Darcy is best described as controlled chaos. She was once quite wild and stubborn, but calmed down some after becoming a mother. Her main vice is alcohol. She’s a borderline alcoholic, and will even reluctantly admit that her drinking could be problematic at times, though she typically only drinks at home now.
When it comes to her family, she is a very involved and enthusiastic parent. She would do anything to ensure the safety of her family.
She can be quite sarcastic and a bit of a smartass, which definitely comes back to bite her in the ass with her oldest daughter. But overall, Darcy’s loyal and lovable… if not a touch intense.
Darcy is known to be quite the flirt when she’s drinking, which is another reason she prefers to drink at home around her husband.

HISTORY:
Darcy was born to Meredith and Anthony Vance while the couple was in the process of moving to California. The pair met and lived in Switzerland for a few years, but relocated for work during her pregnancy. Anthony worked in the ‘importing/exporting’ business. He wasn’t around for much of Darcy’s childhood, and left entirely when she was six.
For years it was just Darcy and her mother. She taught her to speak French and always talked about them traveling together. But when she was fourteen, they were in an awful car accident. When Darcy woke up from her coma, she was told her mother didn’t make it. She was placed in foster care, and was taken in by a decent couple who lived in Los Eurosia.
Darcy wasn’t typically a trouble maker, but every teenager goes through a rebellious phase. At sixteen she was prone to sneaking out and going to parties, forming an early bad habit with alcohol. But the alcohol wasn’t what gave the couple issue with her, it was their sixteen year old foster daughter finding out she was pregnant. And when she refused to let them take her to terminate the pregnancy, they kicked her out.
Friends encouraged her to seek help from The Guild. Being a frightened teenager who wasn’t getting any less pregnant, she did. At almost seventeen, she didn’t have much to offer. But the girl was determined and worked out a deal, agreeing to pursue medical school and work towards being a doctor on their payroll. This of course meant she was given a tattoo and officially became a member of The Guild. Darcy gave birth to a healthy baby girl and named her Ellis.
During her early work as a med student and intern, she met and befriended a nurse named Murphy and her fiancé Ferris. Darcy happened to be working when Ferris had his breakdown, and was there for him when Murphy called off their engagement, being one of the first to call and chew her ass for leaving when the man was clearly going through something. But that was also what led to their friendship developing further.
Two years later, with El’s blessing; the pair decided to start a family, though not choosing to get married until after their first child, Rhys; was nearly one. Now their little family lives in West Hook and Darcy works as a trauma surgeon in the ER, while trying to balance her calls from The Guild (which, she has not told her husband about) and being home enough to enjoy time spent her husband and their kids.
