Acker stepped into the casino in his black suit and black glasses. He had planned to spend the night reviewing some data, but his plans changed when he had gotten a call from a new client.
The casino needed a security do-over and Acker was the man for the job. His guard dogs were with him, two Dobermans, or better, two robots that looked like two Dobermans. They truly looked like the real deal, they even behaved like real dogs, one of Ackers best works.
The casino's security didn't want to let him pass at first because Zeus and Apollo, the dogs, weren't allowed in. However, the two security men received a call and a moment later they stepped aside to let him and the Lads in, that was how he called his dogs.
The casino looked expensive and elegant, it was filled with people playing their money away. Personally, Acker found gambling boring because it depended too much on chance. Acker couldn't help but smirk at the thought of manipulating the gambling machines. Considering that gambling machines used technology, Acker could make the casino lose a lot of money if he so willed, he was entertained by the thought.
A group of people happened to pass by "They are so cute!" the group approached the dogs to pet them "Please don't" Acker rolled his eyes, it was exasperating when people wanted to pet the Lads. Luckily, someone approached him "Please, follow me" Acker followed to a VIP area which was isolated, but it wasn't an office. It wasn't a big deal, Acker was used to meeting clients at random locations.
Acker sat down at a table and the dogs diligently sat at his feet. There was no one yet which surprised him because he had imagined to meet this new client of his. The VIP area had a direct view of the casino's stage and Acker listened to the live music while waiting. Although, he found it disrespectful that the client wasn't present, he wasn't going to wait for much longer.
Also, why did the casino have a VIP area? Only very rich people could gamble in this area? Acker let out a sigh, he was getting bored of waiting already.
Suddenly, someone came in and a second later both their phones buzzed. They both grabbed their own phones and read the message:
Thank you both for coming, the job will be offered to the one who can infiltrate the casino's vault. If you can then it means that you can surpass our security and can understand how it works which means that you'll be able to upgrade it.
Acker looked at his opponent, he felt that familiar excitement when faced by challenges. He looked at the person swifly walking away when instead Acker just sat there. He had technology on his side, so he didn't really need to go around the casino, at least for now. Again, Acker felt deeply disrespected, but he was also entertained by the situation. He decided that he was going to make the casino lose some money after this.
At least, he wasn't bored anymore.
