[attr="class","th th-flower-1-o"] WELCOME TO THE GUILD
The Guild is a large criminal/hunter syndicate with headquarters located elsewhere in California, in a bustling city where all illegal activity pays into the iron-grip organization. In their home city, there is no gambling ring, no trafficking operation, no arms-dealing, etc., that doesn't pay money to the Guild. Even most legal ventures of the city, like innocent Mom and Pop diners and stores, pay the Guild for "protection". No one works above the Guild or without the Guild's consent. Those who try are destroyed. The true scope of their operations is largely unknown. The Guild is always sending out scouts and expanding their hunting grounds and even most Guild members themselves could only guess how far their influence stretches.
Upon acceptance into the Guild, every new recruit is given a tattoo by the Guildmaster's right-hand man, Antonio Wayland. The tattoo is usually in the shape of an animal (which then often serves as the member's codename). What most aren't told is that these aren't normal tattoos made with traditional ink. They don't simply serve as a brand but also as a means of control. Antonio's gift is the ability to manipulate these tattoos at will, no matter how far he is from the tattoo's wielder. They can grow larger or smaller, shift (painfully) across the wielder's body, and are used to give orders, track defectors, and inspire obedience. Another thing most new recruits aren't told is that once you've joined the Guild, there's no going back. Traitors will be tracked down and executed.
Interested in joining? Feel free! You can really play this from all sorts of angles. Maybe you're just a hunter with a passionate hate for Gifted? A run-of-the-mill thug? Perhaps someone who the Guild snapped up as a young, angry, angsty teenager and ended up stuck? Beyond gruntwork, the Guild would also have characters such as lawyers, bookies, crooked cops, etc. that you are more than welcome to lean into! Or perhaps cops/detectives who are obsessed with Guild or something like that. Maybe even a hunter of a rival group at odds with the Guild?
Note: With the nature of the Guild, it is safe to say that most Guild hunters are Human. You are allowed to have a Gifted character in the Guild, but keep in mind that they probably face a lot of antagonism from fellow Guild members! Likely both blatant and underhanded.

MENTIONABLE NPCs
- Warrick Gatsby - The Guildmaster/Grace's father
- Antonio Wayland - Right-hand man of the Guildmaster. He was the head of his own hunting syndicate at one point but merged his faction with Warrick's almost twenty years ago. Though he is unquestionably "beneath" Warrick, he still maintains his own sort of "Wayland faction" within the Guild. Antonio is a well-respected man with a cold, severe reputation. Considered by many to be the Warden of the Guild, being the man "behind the tattoos". Father to Dane and Dino Wayland.
