face/group/name/etc → my suggested is jesse eisenberg - idk why, just feel like they have similarities (ish) & the same vibe, but this is open. as for group he is a hunter, they were born into it. mayvis & macon kind of flow well together for names, so I'd like to keep that but if you have an idea don't be afraid to run it by me.
personality/history → macon & mayvis are literally known as the "terror" twins. wherever they go, they wreak havoc. macon's gift is fear perception like mayv's, however he has somewhat of a conscious - he keeps her from just killing the entire world. but still a jerk. if that makes sense lol. their father was killed by a gifted being during a hunt, so mayvis resents being gifted and thinks they all should die - you can decide macon's feelings on this. anything else is up to you!
if you take him I will pay with virtual hugs & cookies lol

Eyo! I've been musing over this one for a couple days and I got a little writeup on what treatment I would give this character. I kinda went a little off the beaten path with the concept, but let me know if this is cool with you! I dunno if this is going to be the final draft of his profile, so if you want me to tweak anything just let me know as well.
WELCOME TO LOS EUROSIA, IMAGE URL HERE [/IMG] MACON MAGNUS FALCON "tell me your sins so I can sharpen my knife" [/div] BASICS NAME: Macon Magnus Falcon
AGE: 27
BIRTHDATE: June 23rd
PRONOUNS: He/him
SEXUALITY: Heterosexual
RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Single
OCCUPATION: Priest
NEIGHBORHOOD: Westhook
MEMBER GROUP: Hunters
POWERS: Fear Perception
THE LOOKS HEIGHT: 5’7”
WEIGHT: 150 lbs
HAIR COLOR: Brown
EYE COLOR: Blue
FACE CLAIM: Jesse Eisenberg
OVERALL APPEARANCE: Macon is nothing if not well kempt, however, he is always dressed appropriately no matter the situation he finds himself in. In social situations, he keeps himself well dressed, but not overtly, perhaps church dad would be the most eloquent way of putting it. At his day job, the usual priest vestments, though he will bust them out for events and charities as well. For his night job though, he’s much more well equipped for quick movements and getting rough and tumbled, though he much prefers to stay out of scraps. Usually, he’ll wear a layer of Kevlar underneath some darker clothes when he’s on the hunt.
His demeanour and posture are also quite different depending on the social venture. On the job, its chest forward with a confident gait, yet gentle mannerisms. If he is at all distressed while he is playing the role of preacher, then there is something especially wrong with him because he takes his roles with utmost seriousness otherwise. In casual settings, he’s found slouching much more, socially reserved, most especially in social places because he doesn’t know what to do with himself. He might be especially fidgety or panicky when in crowded places. Whereas when he’s in the field, doing what hunters do, he’s very cold and calculating, though he only looks that way when things are going according to plan. The mere second that they aren’t, he is incredibly flighty.
INSIDE LIKES: Fishing, bird watching, control, his job, his disciples, fragrant lavender.
DISLIKES: Overstimulation, crowded places, unnecessary violence
STRENGTHS: Mild mannered, devoted, forgiving, inviting
WEAKNESSES: Social anxiety, prone to panic, lavender
OVERALL PERSONALITY: If Macon were to be summed up into one word, it would be anxious. Despite the fact that his power revolves around inducing fear onto others, most of Macon’s life has been shaped by his own fears and having to quell them in order to live day to day. At a young age, his ability to perceive manifestations of other people’s fears made him quite meekly and the type to be afraid of his own shadow. Through some mental rehabilitations, he’s managed to keep this part of himself better under control, but that might not be saying much. Once he loses that feeling of control, he very quickly becomes that scared little boy again.
In his journeys to finding ways of coping with his powers, he has turned to Catholicism and eventually made himself into a sort of figure head of his local church. As such, he abides by many of the virtues that this sect of Christianity adheres to. He believes that everyone is capable of finding redemption, he does not kill unless he is presented with no other option. He is quite polite and soft spoken, in most circumstances, though his own social anxiety can make him a bit rude or dismissive if he is put in a position that makes him uneasy.
In terms of after-hours activities, he enjoys most side hobbies that involve steering away from public spaces. Anything that doesn’t involve interacting with other people really, fishing, bird watching, anything of that variety. In terms of social settings, if he were to go to any outside of work, he would prefer smaller gatherings, so no night clubs for Macon.
One side hustle that his churchgoers would find most shocking though is the fact that he is a hunter. While it is true that Macon is otherwise a generally non-violent person, hunting down gifted folk isn’t just a mere hobby, he sees it as his mission. His perception of gifted people is that they are given their powers for a purpose, if they are not fulfilling that purpose, then they are defying their whole reason for creation. An earth bender should be landscaping or in the construction industry, someone with telekinesis should be a first responder, etc. Given the nature of Macon’s power, he’s come to the conclusion that he is meant to put fear into people, because fear is what convinces people to go back onto the right track. He doesn’t enjoy how dirty his job gets, in fact he has done many acts he regrets, but as long as he can be forgiven for the sake of doing his duty, he can and will endure.
Given that his father was a hunter, some would say like father like son, however Macon would somewhat resent this notion. He thinks that what he does is far more noble than the senseless killing his father committed, but he certainly wouldn’t be a hunter today if not for the influence of both his father and sister. That said, he isn’t above killing or maiming a gifted person if he thinks them to be monstrous in nature and not to mention that he becomes somewhat subservient to his sister when they hunt together, meaning that she’ll sometimes have more say in what happens to their targets than he will. He will attempt to have his way from time to time though. BACKGROUND HOMETOWN Los Eurosia, California
FAMILY: Magnus Falcon (Father) Deceased Carmina Falcon (Mother) Mayvis Falcon (Sister)
PETS: Buster (Pitbull)
HISTORY:
Born in Los Eurosia along with his sister Mayvis, Macon proved to be the more troubled of the twins. While Mayvis didn’t manifest her powers until much later in life, Macon’s were tormenting him ever since he was a toddler. Back then though, the illusionary nature of his powers was only visible to him, meaning that randomly whenever he looked at other people, he would see their greatest fear lurking over their shoulder, and their greatest fears would quickly become his.
All things considered, the thought of Macon having some sort of power to see illusions that no one else could was not the first thing that crossed anyone’s mind, it would later be considered as an early onset form of schizophrenia. As such, Macon was institutionalized at a very young age. While under the care of therapists and nurses, he would slowly but surely be taught to control himself and his mind. The horrific images he would associate with people still loomed wherever he went, but he was told to ignore them. That was up until he was put through psychotherapy. As a sort of placebo effect, he was taught that the scent of lavender would clear his mind, and thus eliminate the illusions he would see. That was when he was first taught the power of belief. Like the sun piercing the clouds, he would take one whiff and the horrors would vanish before his eyes.
Before he turned ten, Macon would return home, not necessarily healed, but much more capable of dealing with the world. He would still need to attend therapy sessions from time to time for the sake of ensuring he remained mentally stable. One of his main concerns when leaving the mental institution though was how he could find structure and control when he was outside of the facility that previously kept him safe. It turned out he didn’t have to look far as organized religion gave him just that.
Macon would not know he was gifted until a bit later in life, in an incident where he accidentally summoned Satan before a nun. It was a moment in time that shocked him as well, until he realized it was an illusion, much like the others he had seen all his life, only he wasn’t the only one seeing it. He would lightly experiment with his powers, but ultimately explored very little with it given the fact that he had been told all his life that gifted folk were dangerous and couldn’t be trusted, primarily by his father. Given the fact that he felt like he was the lesser of his twin sister for most of his life, he didn’t want to know how much worse of an outcast he would become if his father learnt that he was not simply mentally ill, but gifted.
If it had not been for Mayvis being found out, Macon would have never come forward to admit he was also gifted. From there, he received much more attention from his father. No longer was he the meek child, but a useful recruit to keep the family legacy alive. He was trained alongside his sister, though she was probably the more successful student in terms of becoming a human killing machine.
Into Macon’s teens, he would accompany his family on their hunts, usually to watch in the background or to maintain illusions should Mayvis’ fail to subdue or distract. Naturally, he didn’t enjoy it at first, but as time progressed, it became natural to him, as if he was out on a fishing trip with the family.
These family witch hunts came to an abrupt halt one night though. The esteemed hunter became the hunted, and Magnus would fall to a gifted. It was a somber moment in time, one in a vast sea of ripples that pushed Macon back to the church life, not that he every left, but he changed from churchgoer and supporter to working directly for them, and soon, ordained as priest, the church going public unaware of the past blood on his hands.
As priest, he would listen to confessions of all community goers, those of the catholic faith anyways. Considering the anonymity that was allotted to those who wanted to confess their sins, he would learn much about the secret lives of many of the community members, especially those who came to amid their gifted nature in good faith. Unexpectedly, Macon would find himself to be one of the more reliable sources of weeding out the gifted from the not, but instead of selling them out to the nearest hunter, he would seek them out himself to set them straight.
Nowadays, he enjoys a nice balance of his priestly and hunting duties. The more agreeable half of the terror twins, but not one you would want to be seeing as a gifted folk none the less. THE PLAYER NAME: Redgrim
