“Another!” Felicity shook her head and nearly spit out the shot of bourbon she just hammered back as she laughed. A dribble of bourbon ran down her chin as she opened her mouth the speak, after forcing the rest of the liquid down her throat with a hard swallow. “Nooooo, no I’m good.” Her voice suggested she was feeling a little more than just good, but she wasn’t a sloshed mess. Felicity was definitely a party girl, so she knew her limits. Did she enjoy pushing those limits at times; of course. But tonight she was just trying to take the edge off from her rough day. She had unintentionally destroyed her computer, which meant she had to wait for the new one to come in. While going over her books and doing payroll for her employees at the bakery, she’d been unable to keep her electrokinesis in check and might have let it fry her computer. Though she had to come up with a better excuse to the tech guy going over her warranty with her, she told him it got overloaded from faulty wiring in her apartment. That seemed more believable than telling him electricity shot out of her hands. That was seven hours ago, she’d been at this bar for at least three hours now. The other couple at the bar frowned at her turning down the drink, but they nodded and mumbled their goodbyes to Felicity as she closed out her tab and fished her phone from her purse. She was in no state to get herself home, not safely. And with her luck, she’d end up causing a blackout if she wasn’t careful. She leaned her back to the bar as she scrolled through her contact list. No. Boring. Asks too many questions. Cried after sex. Named his abs. She doesn’t eat carbs. Oh! Her finger paused at the recently added contact, he didn’t know her but what better time to meet then when she was a little drunk and not afraid to ask questions? Plus, from the photos she’d seen on Tawny’s phone, he looked like he wouldn’t be super judgmental of her inebriated state. She pushed the ‘call’ button and the outgoing call to Noah St Cloud started ringing.

[nospaces] [break] [break][break] [attr="class","Noahdark2postlyric"]Don't let me hope to hear from you [break] [attr="class","Noahdark2postingbox"] The store was predictably quiet at that time of night. Quiet enough that Noah could hear each individual customer’s footsteps on the vinyl flooring, along with the rattle of a cart and the muffled sneeze of a man several aisles over.[break][break] During the day the store was pretty nice. Quaint, even. Lit by sunshine streaming through its large windows while gentle music played over the speakers. At night, however, the store transformed into a place far more derelict and drab. Instead of music there was only the distant hum of fluorescent lights, which also tended to flicker occasionally as though setting the scene for a horror movie. [break][break] He held his basket loosely, letting it dangle from his fingers and bump into his leg as he trailed down the rows of shelves. He wasn’t there to do a big grocery shop; he simply thought he’d grab a few things while in town and, well, weirdos tended to shop at night. And weirdos could be good entertainment value – getting all riled up and paranoid and stabby when all he would do to earn such a reaction was look at them.[break][break] Slowing to a halt, he picked up a container of hot chocolate mix. The good stuff. One of the more expensive options. He briefly skimmed the information on the back (as if it would affect his decision) before shrugging and dropping it in the basket. Honestly, he usually drank coffee and wasn’t someone to regularly have guests over but… it couldn’t hurt to have other options available. Maybe he should grab a bunch of different tea flavours as well…[break][break] His phone buzzed in his pocket, the default ringtone echoing through the near-empty store and very briefly drawing another occupant’s eye. He bared his teeth at them in a too-sharp smile and they quickly averted their gaze and shuffled away. The shy type, then. Not the stabby type.[break][break] With a soft chuckle he pulled the phone from his pocket.[break][break] Unknown number.[break][break] While most people would grimace and groan at the sight, expecting bad news or a scammer intending to waste their time, Noah grinned. Blackstorm ‘management’ always called from random numbers. He wasn’t anyone’s emergency contact and the chances of it being a scam was next to none, so when he answered the call it was without hesitation and his grin was audible in his voice as he asked: “Hey, got something good for me?”[break][break] [newclass=.Noahdark2postingbox]background-color:#202020;color:#8d9295;text-align: justify; width:450px;padding:25px 45px 45px 45px;font: 400 13px Roboto;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2postingbox b]color:#4c5884;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2postingbox a]font: 400 13px Roboto !important;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2PostTag]float:right; margin-top:20px;width: 195px; background: #4c5884; background-image:url(https://i.imgur.com/L7vPuy2.jpg);padding: 20px 15px; color: #8d9295; text-align: center; font: italic bold 10px/100% 'Times', sans-serif; letter-spacing: 5px;overflow:hidden;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2PostTag a]color: #c1c7cb !important; font: italic bold 10px/100% 'Times', sans-serif !important;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2postlyric]font-size:8px; text-transform:uppercase; text-align:right; letter-spacing:5px;color:#8d9295;margin-right:20px;margin-top:60px;[/newclass] [googlefont=Mr Dafoe:400|Roboto:400,400i,700]

“Oh my, I don’t believe this is the call you were expecting sir.” Felicity couldn’t help but slur her words as she spoke, her slight giggling didn’t help any either. She picked up a dart to toss at the board, but was thankfully intercepted by the bartender. “Heeey, I was gonna throw that.” She whined as they removed any other darts from her reach, and Felicity nearly forgot she was on the phone. But she felt the cool glass of the screen against her cheek and laughed. “Ohmigod, I almost forgot I was on the phone… is this Noah, like Tawny’s friend Noah?” Felicity allowed herself to be ushered to an empty booth for her phone call. She looked at the bartender and tried to cover the bottom of the phone as she half whispered “Is it too late to get an order of wings to go?” Ah yes, she only craved wings when she this drunk. This drunk generally occurred after very stressful days, or very fun nights. And sadly, was becoming a lot more of a regular thing for Felicity. Sadly because it was stress induced, not for the sake of fun. In fact, she had been avoiding entanglements for the last two weeks because of her ability giving her trouble. Last week she shorted out her entire bakery and had to bring home dozens of croissants to bake there so they didn’t waste… she had been sending the extras to Tawny and anyone else she could think of to avoid eating them all herself. But instead of sitting down and trying to find the ‘cause’, alcohol just seemed like the best solution. Who wanted to sit down at home and ‘process’ when they could be out drinking instead? Definitely not Felicity! She lauded her head against the back of the booth seat. “Tawny is one of my favorite human beings on this planet.” She smiled as she mentioned her friend and then realized she probably wasn’t making much sense. Felicity coughed to clear her throat and started again. “Sorry, I’m Felicity; is this Noah?”Tag: Noah St Cloud

[nospaces] [break] [break][break] [attr="class","Noahdark2postlyric"]Don't let me hope to hear from you [break] [attr="class","Noahdark2postingbox"] The voice that greeted him was feminine. Light. Somewhat slurred as she giggled her response. Perplexed, he pulled his phone away to check the number on the screen. Yep. Still didn’t recognise it. A drunk girl calling him at that time of night could be assumed to only have one reason for doing so, but if he had given her the means to contact him he would have done so months and months ago; he hadn’t given out his number for those purposes for quite some time.[break][break] Placing the basket on the ground and raising the phone to his ear again, he used his freed hand to absently drop a pack of strawberry and raspberry teabags into the basket, wondering if he ought to hang up or tell her she had the wrong number before she could get too invested. He breathed a soft chuckle, hearing her whine at some other person and laugh at herself as she remembered she was on the phone. It was almost a shame he’d have to block her. She sounded fun.[break][break] “… is this Noah, like Tawny’s friend Noah?”[break][break] His fingers froze over another colourful box of teabags. Tawny. Potentially (read: definitely) the real reason he was bothering to buy hot chocolate and strange teas at all, simply so he could offer her options besides coffee or water or alcohol whenever she visited. [break][break] After the initial shock of hearing her name from someone else’s lips, he almost felt giddy as he processed several context clues. Had she been telling her friends about him? Late at night while drunk? Was she out there, somewhere, at that moment, horrified and flushed and reaching unsuccessfully to grab her phone from her friend’s hand who’d decided it would be oh-so-fun to call the guy she’d been gushing about? But… he couldn’t hear her nor any commotion that would reflect that scenario. And, well, her friend wasn’t calling from Tawny’s phone. Had Tawny given her his number? Why would she do that? Was she okay?[break][break] The giddiness rapidly fizzled out. In its place, the wondering had prickled something unpleasant in his gut with a desire to demand to know where Tawny was and what was going on. He only managed to hold his tongue by telling himself that if Tawny were hurt or in trouble her friend would sound far less casual, far more urgent – even while drunk.[break][break] The woman announced that Tawny was one of her favourite people on the planet and his lips parted, struck with the childish urge to retort that Tawny was his favourite person in the world. Not ‘one of’ his favourites. The favourite. The one. But he only exhaled another soft chuckle and shook his head at himself, keeping quiet while the mystery girl introduced herself as Felicity.[break][break] “Felicity,” he echoed, a grin curling his lips once more. “That’s… the type of name a posh pet cat would have. Why do you have a cat name, hm? Do you have a collar with a bell on it too?”[break][break] Then, concerned that his brand of playful teasing might not translate well over the phone to an inebriated stranger, he cleared his throat and decided to try again. Felicity was supposedly Tawny’s friend. He needed to be a little more careful – a little more gentle with someone Tawny might care about; who knew if she would skim through Felicity’s memories and experience the encounter herself?[break][break] “Yes, hi, it’s Noah. Tawny’s Noah.” Not Tawny’s ‘friend’ Noah. Tawny’s Noah. He softened his voice further. “Is she with you…? Are you guys having fun?” He couldn’t hear loud music thumping in the background and it didn't sound like Felicity was particularly raising her voice to be heard; they probably weren’t at a club. Were they at a bar? In one of their homes? [break][break] [newclass=.Noahdark2postingbox]background-color:#202020;color:#8d9295;text-align: justify; width:450px;padding:25px 45px 45px 45px;font: 400 13px Roboto;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2postingbox b]color:#4c5884;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2postingbox a]font: 400 13px Roboto !important;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2PostTag]float:right; margin-top:20px;width: 195px; background: #4c5884; background-image:url(https://i.imgur.com/L7vPuy2.jpg);padding: 20px 15px; color: #8d9295; text-align: center; font: italic bold 10px/100% 'Times', sans-serif; letter-spacing: 5px;overflow:hidden;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2PostTag a]color: #c1c7cb !important; font: italic bold 10px/100% 'Times', sans-serif !important;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2postlyric]font-size:8px; text-transform:uppercase; text-align:right; letter-spacing:5px;color:#8d9295;margin-right:20px;margin-top:60px;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2postname]position: absolute;font:400 60px mr dafoe; letter-spacing:5px;color:#2e2e4d;margin-top:20px;margin-left:110px;text-shadow:-1px -1px 0 #000, 1px -1px 0 #000, -1px 1px 0 #000, 1px 1px 0 #000;[/newclass] [googlefont=Mr Dafoe:400|Roboto:400,400i,700]

“I’ve got a choker necklace or two, but nothing with a bell, that would be so funny!” Felicity responded with the utmost amusement and laughed, the thought of having a necklace with a bell on it now burned into her drunken mind as a ‘great’ idea. Sober Felicity would be so angry if drunk Felicity ruined any of her chokers by trying to attach a bell. She grinned as the bar tender told her the to-go order of wings would be ready in fifteen minutes. The kitchen was closing for the night, but they adored this petite alcoholic. Especially when she sent them a standing order of baked goods free of charge for always taking care of her. Now Felicity was thinking of her best girlfriend and almost sad that she wasn’t with her at that moment. “Sadly she is not with me tonight, and I miss her. I’m gonna text her, just a sec…” her voice trailed off as she downsized the call to send a drunken text to Tawny that simply said ”bar was boring without you, next girl’s night is on me! =p” she pressed send and tapped back into the call and tapped her fingers on the table. “So, Tawny’s Noah. Are you going to be busy in about fifteen minutes?” She asked as kicked her feet up on the other booth seat across from her. “Because I could use an escort home. I can pay you in chicken wings or a week of coffees and croissants from my bakery. ”Felicity played with the ends of her hair for a moment and then giggled like she had a great idea. “Or I can even put a good word in for you with Tawny!” Tawny and Felicity didn’t generally discuss things that were deep or emotional, but they did discuss guys and girls and enjoyed light gossip together. And Felicity noticed the way Tawny reacted when she was getting messages from Noah. Girl had it BAD. Not that she’s ever tell him that. Not intentionally at least. tag: Noah St Cloud

[nospaces] [break] [break][break] [attr="class","Noahdark2postlyric"]Don't let me hope to hear from you [break] [attr="class","Noahdark2postingbox"] Thankfully Felicity wasn’t the type to be offended – or at least, she was too tipsy to take his jokes seriously. He threw some additional boxes of random teas in his basket, grinning as she laughed, though his expression faltered somewhat as she told him Tawny wasn’t with her. He blinked, curious. Why call him then? Was he seconds away from receiving one of those ‘don’t hurt my friend or else’ speeches? He’d experienced a few in his lifetime, always from people at least half a foot shorter than him and lacking any sort of visible muscle or fighting experience. They never actually followed through on their promises. Not a single one.[break][break] With the announcement that Felicity was going to text Tawny, he was quickly distracted from that trail of thought and wondered if she would reply or whether it was another day where she chucked her phone somewhere and refused to look at it. He was half-tempted to text her as well. A test to see if she would reply to him if not Felicity or vice versa. [break][break] He shook his head again. Reclaimed his basket from the ground and strolled towards the checkout, greeting the sleepy-looking cashier with a smile and a brief lift of his chin while Felicity requested an escort home. First she offered to bribe him with chicken wings or treats from her bakery. Then she giggled, and offered to put in a good word with Tawny.[break][break] The curiosity within him almost burned. Just what did she know? How much had Tawny told her? He couldn’t imagine she would have shared the more… unusual aspects of their relationship. Nor any of his less than shining life choices. Felicity wouldn’t sound quite so happy to speak to him if she did and, besides that, Tawny had promised not to. But he couldn’t ask. Couldn’t look or sound too eager, too invested. [break][break] He snorted. “Thanks, but that’s not necessary.” The memory should be enough if Tawny ever happened to see it. He imagined being talked up by her friend could make her more skittish. Nervous to be seen as an actual couple or feel pressured into becoming one. [break][break] He pouted at the thought, forgetting to thank the cashier as he paid and collected his bag of purchases. Even so, he kept his tone cheerful and light as he exited the store. “Ah, I see how it is. You have my number because you thought I’d be a free taxi service, desperate to please.” It was pretty funny. The kind of thing Noah had done to his flatmates’ partners back in his university days; he could respect Felicity’s eye for opportunity. Did Tawny even know her friend had his number? [break][break] But if he helped Felicity get home for Tawny’s sake…. Would it make him look whipped? He winced at the thought, hating the douchiness of the word but finding no alternative. Would Tawny feel uncomfortable knowing he’d met her friend? Especially in light of the threats he’d once made? Sure, those were long in the past and proven to be bluffs but sometimes he wondered if it bothered her that he’d made them at all.[break][break] He figured he would have given Felicity a ride home even if there wasn’t a connection to Tawny, simply for the comedic value of a stranger merrily asking to hop in his car. Did she not realise how dangerous it could be to ask a random person for a ride? Also, one of her bribes was somewhat appealing: he did like baked goods. [break][break] Crossing the small parking lot to his car, he sighed airily. “Well… I guess it’s not completely free if you’re bribing me with food… And I do happen to be in town already, so I could probably meet you in less than fifteen minutes if you’re in town too.” If he’d been back home in West Hook it would have been another story. [break][break] He slid into his car, dropped the bag on the back seat behind him, and clicked his seatbelt on. “Where are you? I don’t have to go searching around random streets, do I?” He imagined driving around with rolled down windows, calling out for her like she was a lost stray. Though funny at first, it would quickly become a little tiresome if she were too difficult to find. [break][break] [newclass=.Noahdark2postingbox]background-color:#202020;color:#8d9295;text-align: justify; width:450px;padding:25px 45px 45px 45px;font: 400 13px Roboto;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2postingbox b]color:#4c5884;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2postingbox a]font: 400 13px Roboto !important;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2PostTag]float:right; margin-top:20px;width: 195px; background: #4c5884; background-image:url(https://i.imgur.com/L7vPuy2.jpg);padding: 20px 15px; color: #8d9295; text-align: center; font: italic bold 10px/100% 'Times', sans-serif; letter-spacing: 5px;overflow:hidden;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2PostTag a]color: #c1c7cb !important; font: italic bold 10px/100% 'Times', sans-serif !important;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2postlyric]font-size:8px; text-transform:uppercase; text-align:right; letter-spacing:5px;color:#8d9295;margin-right:20px;margin-top:60px;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2postname]position: absolute;font:400 60px mr dafoe; letter-spacing:5px;color:#2e2e4d;margin-top:20px;margin-left:110px;text-shadow:-1px -1px 0 #000, 1px -1px 0 #000, -1px 1px 0 #000, 1px 1px 0 #000;[/newclass] [googlefont=Mr Dafoe:400|Roboto:400,400i,700]

“Oh, god no. Tawny would quite possibly be mortified if she knew I called you asking for a ride home. I added your number because I thought you could be an interesting friend to drink with, and if Tawny likes you, I would like to at least be friends… I probably should have waited to call until we’d actually met or hung out before. My baaad!” Felicity leaned her head back to look at the ceiling above her as she spoke, waiting patiently for her chicken wings and tapping her feet lightly against the back of the booth seat to the best of the music. She suddenly felt quite foolish having called him, but there was no changing it now. “I am in town, how convenient! I’m at Pat’s Bar, and I promise I don’t live like a crazy distance or anything. I just don’t quite trust myself getting there safely. ” She smiled and looked back around the bar, it wasn’t overly busy, but there was the regular bar crowd. Felicity happened to be one of the ‘regulars’ if a location served alcohol. That, and she was also a local business owner, so it was good to spend money supporting the other local businesses. “I’m sitting in a booth waiting on an order of chicken wings. ” She added with a happy sigh at the thought of the food. So far tonight she hadn’t experienced any mishaps with her ability, but knowing her luck; it was merely a matter of time. “I should probably warn you, I have electrokenisis that can be a tad on the fritz every now and then, so don’t freak out if I accidentally fry my phone or something. I can usually get a handle on things before it gets too bad. And that was exactly why she paid more for those protection and replacement plans, especially here lately. It just made more sense to have all her bases covered. tag: Noah St Cloud

[nospaces] [break] [break][break] [attr="class","Noahdark2postlyric"]Don't let me hope to hear from you [break] [attr="class","Noahdark2postingbox"] Before he started driving he put his phone on speaker and mounted it on his car’s holder. A pleased hum vibrated through his throat; Felicity was somewhere in town, stationary, and at a place he was familiar with. “Pat’s Bar. Got it.” [break][break] He was a second away from hanging up, lips parted to promise he’d call her back when he got there. He figured there was no real need for them to stay on the line if he didn’t need directions.[break][break] But then she very casually announced she had electrokinesis. [break][break] Had he been walking instead of driving, Noah might have stumbled. Instead, he almost missed a turning. “You–” He floundered for a solid moment, genuinely surprised and at loss for words. He barked an incredulous, gleeful laugh. “What?”[break][break] Electrokinesis… There was a corresponding tingle in his back. As if his old lightning scars were stirring from a slumber, wondering if they would be renewed. It was a pleasant shiver, though. One that spoke far more of excitement than wariness. He bit his lip, trying to stop himself from grinning so hard. It had been so long…[break][break] “Well, isn’t that a shock. Electrifying news.” Never before had he met someone who divulged their gift to him so quickly. Even in Blackstorm, when meeting members he hadn't recruited himself they didn’t tend to offer that information without prompting. Not unless their gift was blatantly obvious and visible. It was refreshing to meet someone who wasn’t so guarded. [break][break] Though – perhaps her frankness was due to knowing he was gifted. Or perhaps, rather than frankness, it was carelessness. Born from a level of drunk that made her forget to be cautious at all.[break][break] Maybe he should warn her. Tell her to hush (what would her good friend in the Sector think? Openly declaring her gift as if it wasn’t something the government wanted to keep secret? Tut, tut). But then he figured, if he ended up having to save Felicity from some eavesdropping hunters, that would make him look pretty good.[break][break] “Is frying your phone a common occurrence then?” Already he was trying to devise a way to borrow her gift. Perhaps he could sell it as helping her, especially if she had problems controlling it. He tapped his fingers on the steering wheel, having to slow for a red light. Tawny wouldn’t have told Felicity what he could do, would she? Not that it mattered hugely, but he did think it would be funny to catch Felicity unawares. “Y'know, if you’re worried about breaking anything, you could just… electrocute me? You might be surprised at the results.”[break][break] [newclass=.Noahdark2postingbox]background-color:#202020;color:#8d9295;text-align: justify; width:450px;padding:25px 45px 45px 45px;font: 400 13px Roboto;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2postingbox b]color:#4c5884;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2postingbox a]font: 400 13px Roboto !important;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2PostTag]float:right; margin-top:20px;width: 195px; background: #4c5884; background-image:url(https://i.imgur.com/L7vPuy2.jpg);padding: 20px 15px; color: #8d9295; text-align: center; font: italic bold 10px/100% 'Times', sans-serif; letter-spacing: 5px;overflow:hidden;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2PostTag a]color: #c1c7cb !important; font: italic bold 10px/100% 'Times', sans-serif !important;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2postlyric]font-size:8px; text-transform:uppercase; text-align:right; letter-spacing:5px;color:#8d9295;margin-right:20px;margin-top:60px;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2postname]position: absolute;font:400 60px mr dafoe; letter-spacing:5px;color:#2e2e4d;margin-top:20px;margin-left:110px;text-shadow:-1px -1px 0 #000, 1px -1px 0 #000, -1px 1px 0 #000, 1px 1px 0 #000;[/newclass] [googlefont=Mr Dafoe:400|Roboto:400,400i,700]

Felicity nearly dropped her phone in delight when she laughed at his puns about her ability. Clearly, she was quite intoxicated. She cleared her throat and shook her head, blonde hair swaying at the movement. “Oh my gosh, you have no idea. I make sure to steer clear of the electronics at my bakery if I’m having an off day. That’s why I pay the big bucks for added insurance coverages.” She said with a sigh at the end, her business insurance had additional coverages for any ‘electrical errors’ or ‘storm damages’, thankfully she paid such a hefty amount that they didn’t question covering the replacement items. It probably also helped that her grandmother was familiar with the family who ran the business. “What?!” She exclaimed and her smile dropped. She had never had anyone make an offer like that before, but how could he handle it? “W-….. would you even be okay if I electrocuted you?” At this moment the bar tender brought over her wings and gave her quite an odd side-eye look at her last question, though he merely chuckled and chalked it up to her level of intoxication. But Felicity was genuinely curious. She couldn’t;t recall the last time she was able to feel comfortable around someone without worrying about her electrokinesis causing harm. tag: Noah St Cloud

[nospaces] [break] [break][break] [attr="class","Noahdark2postlyric"]Don't let me hope to hear from you [break] [attr="class","Noahdark2postingbox"] He whistled lowly. “Must be expensive.” How much money could one bakery bring in? As it was presumably an independent store rather than part of a chain, he couldn’t imagine she was raking in the dough (pun not intended). Did she have a family to support her? Relatives with gifts of their own, perhaps?[break][break] Her surprise distracted him from that particular trail of thought. “Oh yes, I would be very okay,” he purred. “Truly – it’s no problem! I’m pretty durable.” It might be a slight problem if she used her gift at full-throttle and burnt him to a crisp before his own power could kick in, but he figured a ‘normal’ shock would be fine.[break][break] “Hey, I’m pulling up now. I’ll see you in a minute, okay? Don’t run off into the night.” He hung up as he parked his car, pleased to have found a space so close to the bar. The doorman almost turned him away since it was nearly closing time, but thankfully once he’d explained his intentions he was allowed inside.[break][break] There were a few stragglers dotted throughout the main room, mostly middle-aged or older. But none quite fit the mental image he had of Felicity like the lone girl in one of the booths; slightly younger than him, pretty, with dirty blonde hair and fair skin, eating what looked to be chicken wings (which Felicity had mentioned she’d ordered) and appearing more than a little buzzed.[break][break] The more he looked at her, the more familiar she felt. He might have seen her in a few pictures in Tawny’s phone and apartment, albeit she'd had a different hair colour - lighter, or was it darker? Regardless, he could imagine her throwing back shots with a megawatt grin, pulling friends and strangers alike onto the dance floor.[break][break] The bartender gave him a sceptical look as he passed (clearly noting the direction Noah was headed) but Noah only smiled back at him and gave a small wave, doing his best not to look like a creep who preyed on inebriated young women.[break][break] “Felicity,” he said as he approached, both to greet her and simply to hear her name aloud again. He chuckled, shaking his head as he slipped into the booth opposite her. “A name like that would fit right into the cast of The Aristocats – the Disney movie, y’know?” He reached across and stole a wing from her plate. “Consider this the first part of your payment plan…”[break][break] [newclass=.Noahdark2postingbox]background-color:#202020;color:#8d9295;text-align: justify; width:450px;padding:25px 45px 45px 45px;font: 400 13px Roboto;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2postingbox b]color:#4c5884;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2postingbox a]font: 400 13px Roboto !important;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2PostTag]float:right; margin-top:20px;width: 195px; background: #4c5884; background-image:url(https://i.imgur.com/L7vPuy2.jpg);padding: 20px 15px; color: #8d9295; text-align: center; font: italic bold 10px/100% 'Times', sans-serif; letter-spacing: 5px;overflow:hidden;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2PostTag a]color: #c1c7cb !important; font: italic bold 10px/100% 'Times', sans-serif !important;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2postlyric]font-size:8px; text-transform:uppercase; text-align:right; letter-spacing:5px;color:#8d9295;margin-right:20px;margin-top:60px;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2postname]position: absolute;font:400 60px mr dafoe; letter-spacing:5px;color:#2e2e4d;margin-top:20px;margin-left:110px;text-shadow:-1px -1px 0 #000, 1px -1px 0 #000, -1px 1px 0 #000, 1px 1px 0 #000;[/newclass] [googlefont=Mr Dafoe:400|Roboto:400,400i,700]

Felicity gave a shrug, too invested in her chicken wings now to contemplate a response on the business insurance. It was most certainly costly, but she also firmly believed in her business and it’s success, so it was a price she was more than willing to pay. Though she’d be lying if she said she didn’t have times when she doubted her ability to cover the expenses that month. Fortunately, she was a born networker. She never met a stranger, at least that’s what her Gran would say. Felicity was so lost in her thoughts that she hardly realized Noah speaking on the phone, or him ending the call. She simply lost herself in the delicious wing she was savoring. Eyes closed, blissfully ignorant of anything going on around her. She was a foodie, no surprise with her bakery and obsessive nature over the ‘perfect recipe; for anything she served. That being said, this bar defiantly had one of her favorite drunken pleasures; fried buffalo wings. Their house made ranch was the perfect pairing with it, and they even served them with a side of sliced celery. Not generally a favorite of Felicity’s, but a MUST HAVE when it came to buffalo wings. She nearly jumped at the sound of her name, but she smiled as her gaze focused on Noah. She couldn’t help but laugh at his comment on her name, then gave a goofy giggle as she thought of the movie. “Ohmigosh, I was obsessed with that movie as a child. I even named my first cat O’Malley… but when my Gran told me she was a girl, we just called her Molly.” Felicity sighed at the thought of her childhood pet, but then finished off the piece of celery in her hand. “That works for me, I couldn’t possibly finish these all by myself… I mean, drunk Felicity could, but knows sober Felicity would be miserable tomorrow.”tag: Noah St Cloud

[nospaces] [break] [break][break] [attr="class","Noahdark2postlyric"]Don't let me hope to hear from you [break] [attr="class","Noahdark2postingbox"] It was a little difficult to eat his chicken wing while he was smiling so much, but he managed. Felicity was adorable. More of a puppy than the cat he’d initially envisioned her as, giggling and wagging her tail as he joined her. Maybe that was just while she was drunk, though, and maybe in the sober light of day she would be a little less spirited. Maybe she’d be mortified whenever she recalled their first meeting.[break][break] The thought made him chuckle, and the chuckle evolved into a laugh as she reminisced about misgendering her childhood pet. Somehow, that felt completely on brand.[break][break] She also agreed to letting him steal some of her food, but her reasoning made his lips downturn in a playful pout.[break][break] “Aw, really? It would be a shame for you to miss out. These –” he wiggled the wing he’d taken at her – “are good.” He finished off the rest it, humming his satisfaction and sighing contentedly afterwards to emphasise his point. “You should enjoy things while you can, live each moment like it’s your last, worry about the consequences later. Sober Felicity doesn’t know what she’s talking about.” He winked and leant back in his seat, his gaze sweeping towards the bar.[break][break] “Have you paid your tab yet?” He could pay it off for her if she hadn’t. It seemed a simple way to cement himself even further in her good graces and he doubted it would cost that much anyway (not that money was ever an issue he faced).[break][break] He looked at her again, suddenly curious why she was there at Pat’s Bar on her own. Earlier she’d said Tawny wasn’t with her and that she missed her, but that didn’t necessarily mean Tawny hadn’t been with her earlier in the night. Was that why Felicity thought to call Noah? Had she perhaps thought that Tawny would be with him? He hoped so.[break][break] “And how come you’re here on your lonesome, hm? Did you get separated from your friends?”[break][break] [newclass=.Noahdark2postingbox]background-color:#202020;color:#8d9295;text-align: justify; width:450px;padding:25px 45px 45px 45px;font: 400 13px Roboto;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2postingbox b]color:#4c5884;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2postingbox a]font: 400 13px Roboto !important;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2PostTag]float:right; margin-top:20px;width: 195px; background: #4c5884; background-image:url(https://i.imgur.com/L7vPuy2.jpg);padding: 20px 15px; color: #8d9295; text-align: center; font: italic bold 10px/100% 'Times', sans-serif; letter-spacing: 5px;overflow:hidden;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2PostTag a]color: #c1c7cb !important; font: italic bold 10px/100% 'Times', sans-serif !important;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2postlyric]font-size:8px; text-transform:uppercase; text-align:right; letter-spacing:5px;color:#8d9295;margin-right:20px;margin-top:60px;[/newclass] [newclass=.Noahdark2postname]position: absolute;font:400 60px mr dafoe; letter-spacing:5px;color:#2e2e4d;margin-top:20px;margin-left:110px;text-shadow:-1px -1px 0 #000, 1px -1px 0 #000, -1px 1px 0 #000, 1px 1px 0 #000;[/newclass] [googlefont=Mr Dafoe:400|Roboto:400,400i,700]
