Eve’s dreams offer some insight to the days ahead, but rather than straightforward visions these dreams tend to be full of symbolism that require deciphering. This can be frustrating, and it's difficult to differentiate predictive dreams from normal ones. Therefore, her precognition is best channelled through her use of tarot cards; she’ll ask them a question and her gift will tell her which card(s) holds the answer via a gut feeling.
Evening can also hear the thoughts of others. They’re quiet, like murmurs, and she often has to strain to hear them over other sounds if she’s in a public space. She can’t see images/scenes a person is imagining; only conscious words and musings get through to her, which is not as much as you’d think. OVERALL APPEARANCE: Eve is the type of girl who won’t be seen outside the comfort of her home without heels on. Her wardrobe is full of floaty black dresses and often she looks over-dressed, sweeping around town with red-tinted lips and an ethereal, vampire-like aesthetic. She has a heart-shaped face and her large, rounded eyes are dark brown. Her black hair (usually styled into soft waves) nearly reaches her waist, and although ponytails don’t exist in her world, loose braids and buns are acceptable if she's desperate to keep her hair out the way. She has a slight build, bordering on lanky with long limbs and minimal curves, and her fair skin has warm undertones. She tends to favour perfumes and soaps that have cherry and/or vanilla scents.

STRENGTHS:
- Outgoing: Someone who usually has no qualms approaching others in a friendly manner and will try just about anything as long as it’s legal.
- A supportive friend: Eve encourages the people around her to be themselves, to follow their dreams, to create the lives they want. She celebrates their victories and mourns with them when there's a bump in the road, and she frequently and openly tells her friends she loves them.
- Perceptive: Her gift of telepathy has generally given her a greater understanding of human motivations over the years. While she's friendly and open, she's not naïve and usually knows when someone is trying to use her – even if she's in a situation where she cannot hear their thoughts.
- Foresight: Her precognition usually gives her some warning if something terrible is on the horizon. Sometimes she'll have the exact details and be completely prepared for it, whereas other times the details are more vague and all she can do is emotionally brace herself.
WEAKNESSES:
- Prying: Asks questions, wants to know the ins and outs of other people's lives. May be considered annoying for meddling in business that doesn't concern her. Has been known to play matchmaker and try persuading close friends to quit habits she considers detrimental to their health.
- Squeamish: Eve cannot stomach violence. Not even the fake kind; she has to look away whenever it pops up in shows or films. Bruises are manageable, and she can put band-aids on scratches or a scraped knee, but she would struggle majorly to help with any injury that came with heavy bleeding, broken/protruding bones, or twisted limbs.
- Defenceless: Zero ability to defend herself, be it verbally or physically.
- May be considered a 'tease': With her openness to sharing about herself and unconcealed interest in other people's lives, some of those people may get the wrong idea and think she's trying to flirt with them when she's not. Especially if she's tipsy; drunk!Eve likes cuddling up.
OVERALL PERSONALITY: Performative / Friendly / Trustworthy / Curious / Meddling / Conflict-averse
First and foremost, Eve loves playing into the omniscient witch schtick. There’s nothing more entertaining than commenting on someone’s thoughts and watching their eyes widen, and nothing more fulfilling than hearing her customers say her predictions were correct. Tarot readings are always incredibly dramatic, including lit candles, closed curtains, scattered petals – the works – no matter how simple the inquiry is. She does her best to present herself as a very composed and calm character, other-worldly and all-knowing, but nothing can hide the mischievous spark in her eyes when her powers come into play.
She leans toward the extroverted side of the scale, unlikely to feel shy or be flustered by anyone. Flirting simply doesn’t work on her but she’ll play along if she senses there’ll be no hurt feelings by her inevitable rejection. She believes in living life to the fullest and doing whatever makes you happiest, so she’s patient and non-judgemental and she doesn’t gossip; any secrets that come her way are certain to stay with her unless lives are at stake.
Curiosity killed the cat, and it will probably kill Eve. This woman is too inquisitive for her own good, often prying into business that doesn’t concern her. She’ll carry out in-depth investigations based on the stray thought of a stranger, simply for the satisfaction of ‘solving the case’ and can become a flat-out menace to anyone she feels is hiding something from her. She also thinks (though there’s been no evidence to support this) her precognition makes her an infallible matchmaker, and therefore she will enthusiastically meddle in the love lives of her friends, often without their consent.
Eve has zero ability to defend herself, verbally or physically. She can brush off barbed words and pretend it didn't affect her but she’ll never have a clever comeback and she's likely to cry about it later if the insult was particularly personal. She also has a habit of crying whenever she's frustrated or placed in a stressful situation, though she'll adamantly deny it to anyone who points it out.

PETS: As black cats are both less likely to be adopted and more likely to be euthanized, Evening makes a point of adopting them whenever she can. At the moment she has five: Sooty, Mischief, Cleo, Birdie, and Pop-Tart.
HISTORY: Evening was born on Samhain, more commonly known as Halloween. Her father, like her, had the gift of precognition, and she grew up knowing she came from a long line of Wiccan witches. She’s had a fairly easy life with doting parents toeing the line between working class and middle class, and she’s never known the grief that comes with the death of a loved one. You might call her sheltered and you wouldn't be wrong, but being able to hear other people's thoughts saved her from becoming a completely naïve airhead. In some ways, she grew up quicker than her peers, learning of adult struggles and activities way before most children would.
When she was eleven, Sunrise was born. Sunny seemed set on being Eve’s opposite from the start; being loud when Eve kept quiet, wearing bright clothes when Eve would only wear black, playing sports when Eve wouldn’t be caught dead in sneakers. But the pair were undoubtedly close. Eve was always very vocal about her adoration whereas Sunny showed her love by getting into fights with anyone who spoke poorly about her weird older sister.
After finishing high school, Eve immediately started working in her parents’ metaphysical supply shop. She was very content there, feeling no desire to leave her hometown, and over the years she had a couple of serious relationships that both ended (mostly) amicably. But when it became Sunrise's turn to graduate high school and she got accepted into S. C. University in Los Eurosia, Eve decided to go to California with her. She opened her own store, Moondweller’s Cauldron, and she’s been living in the apartment above it ever since.
