POWERS:
Gravity Manipulation: Gemma is able to alter and control the gravity of anything she touches. This includes inanimate objects, people, plants, and animals. Gemma simply has to touch whatever it is and she's able to negate the gravity to make what she touched float or add gravity to make it heavier. In doing so she is able to do things like make a person float by negating the gravitational pull on them, throw them, then mid flight heighten their gravity by ten times more than it had been before to send them crashing. When she negates the gravity of something it begins to orbit around her until she either controls the orbit or releases it. She is also able to use the ability on herself so she's able to float or walk on air. Gemma is also able to delay the activation of her ability. After touching something she has up to 24 hours to activate her ability before it wears off and must be within a five hundred yard range for it to activate.
Mass Manipulation: Anything that Gemma touches she is able to control the size. This includes inanimate objects, people, animals, and plants. Depending on how drastic the size change and how quickly she pushes to change it depends on how much energy it takes. Changing say an apple to the size of a watermellon might not take as much energy but turning a grown man small enough to fit into a purse would be much more taxing. Changing the mass of things also changes the weight of it. Making something smaller will make it lighter and easier to carry while making something larger will make it heavier.

OVERALL APPEARANCE: At first glance Gemma appears to be a very soft, sweet, feminine woman. She has gentle, warm brown eyes with a bit of a rounder face. She does have a rather severe case of Resting Bitch Face. Which can sometimes make her a bit more intimidating. Other than that though she always appears to be a very gentle, sweet soul. She wears plenty of very feminine clothes and make up that accentuates her features. She has full lips with high cheek bones and prefers keeping her dark brown hair long. At worst she might come off as spoiled, catty, or just the mean Queen Bee type. But most assume she's far too soft and pretty to ever bother getting her hands dirty. Which is exactly what she wants.
Her skin is normally lightly tanned at least from how much time she enjoys spending outside. Her body is slender and toned with solid, strong muscle. That normally isn't noticeable just upon looking at her. There are a few old scars littered about her body. Most aren't very big and are pretty faded now. The one she tends to hide the most is the scar across her throat. She also has one of the Guilds magical tattoos on her ribcage. It's of a waiting panther. Poised and ready to leap at any moment. The tattoo isn't very large. While it might not take up as much space as Dane's tattoo it's still larger than her sister Grace's.

STRENGTHS:
Observant: Gemma has a sharp eye. She watches and listens to everything that goes on around her. She could be in the middle of a conversation while out for drinks and hear one man talk about how he's cheating on his wife while also hearing about a woman who's worried she might be pregnant. Gemma loves getting to know people, getting their secrets. She's also observant enough to remember any details about a person. Whether its her remembering their exact favorite order at a restaurant or her finding the exact brand of cologne someone uses just by their smell. This has helped immensely with tracking down Gifted targets for the Guild. She's perceptive and very good at noticing things. Even the smallest changes.
Works Well Under Pressure: Gemma isn't afraid of a little tension. High stress environments are her bread and butter. In situations that would leave most people on edge she remains cool, calm, and collected. She's level headed and able to think quickly on her feet.
Persuasive: Gemma has this aura about her that seems to just make her very agreeable. With a few sweet words, batting her lashes, and keeping up a pretty smile she can usually get the information she needs. She comes off often as nonthreatening and trustworthy and has a keen ability to mimic a persons personality so she can blend in with them easier. And Gemma is patient enough to keep up a facade as long as she needs to.
WEAKNESSES:
Short Tempered: While Gemma comes off often as cool and calm she actually has a very short fuse. She's just good at hiding it. When Gemma feels like she's been wronged, insulted, or slighted she will usually simmer in her anger. Giving herself time to come up with what she thinks is a fitting punishment for whatever "crime" was committed against her. She will be judge, jury, and executioner.
Spoiled: Gemma is a hard worker. She knows the value of a dollar. She knows how to be budget conscious and how to earn her keep. But why would she want to do that? Gemma is a spoiled princess who's used to getting her way almost all the time. When something doesn't go her way she can, and often will, throw a fit about it. Or at the bare minimum pout.
Distrustful: Gemma has a tendency to be a deeply suspicious person. There are few people in her life that she truly trusts and feels like they have no ulterior motive. Most of the time though Gemma feels that someone wanting to talk or interact with her, or someone she loves, has a hidden agenda or motive underneath. She doesn't tend to trust people and keeps them at arms length. This makes most of her relationships very surface level and shallow. As she doesn't allow herself to open up.
OVERALL PERSONALITY:
Gemma is a woman constantly at war. That's been her life since the moment she was born. When she was younger it was war with internalized hate for herself being Gifted and confusion over not believing her sister or mother were lesser because they were Gifted as well. Which is something she still struggles with to this day but now trying to change for the better has been added on. In previous years she was cold, calculated, ruthless. She was a spoiled brat who always got her way either by choice or by force. She was her fathers pride and joy for her strength and intelligence. These days though, she's trying her best to make a change.
Gemma has no desire anymore to be a ruthless, blood thirsty killer that she once was. She longs for peace, patience, kindness, and warmth. She's still spoiled and loves and expects to get her way at every turn. But she won't throw as much of a fit if she doesn't as she used to. She's gotten calmer with age. Gemma is no longer the wild child she used to be, though it's still there in her somewhere. She's become sweet and gentle, most of the time. She enjoys just relaxing and having a good time without worrying about her next target or if there's one on her own back. Still, she's deeply loyal and struggles with her connection to the Guild. Afraid to leave behind everything she's known her entire life. Even if she really wants to.
She's very protective, especially over her younger sister. The girls don't squabble like they did as children and while Grace might still be violent and wild the two are normally attached at the hip now. Gemma does her best to be supportive even if she's starting not to agree with the purpose of the Guild and the Hunters. Gemma still has a short fuse though it's not as wildly violent as it used to be. These days she's more likely to stay calm and think of how exactly she'd go about taking down or ruining the person who wronged her or someone she loves. The punishment has to fit the crime after all. Still, she's grown rather tame in her years. She does her best now to be patient, kind, and calm. Even if it doesn't always work out. Gemma fears that there will always be something inside of her longing for blood.

HISTORY:
Gemma grew up in a very strange household. She was the first born child and therefore had a lot of expectations put on her head from infancy. She was supposed to be the smartest, the strongest, the fastest. She was supposed to take over as head of the family business when her father passed. But her mother was also so happy to have a little girl to doll up and make pretty. So Gemma was torn between being this blood thirsty killer and the soft, pretty valley girl. Growing up though Gemma was very strongly a Daddys Girl. She always wanted to impress him. Always pushed herself to make him proud. It was drilled into her head from an early age that Gifted individuals were wrong. They were a sickness infecting the good people around them and it was a Hunters job to be the cure to that sickness. So when both her and her sisters powers presented Gemma became more conflicted.
Gifted's were dangerous. They weren't to be trusted. They were dirty and wrong and lesser than them. But that didn't make sense. Gemma didn't see her sister or her mother as dirty or wrong or beneath her. Did that mean she was sick as well? It caused a whirlwind of painful and confusing inner conflicts inside Gemma early on. So she became only more angry. Her and Grace squabbled a lot as children. Often resulting in using their gifts or new hunting tactics against each other. Until the boys were introduced. Dino and Dane were a common enemy for the girls to band against. The two of them became their personal playthings for a while.
But Gemma wound up becoming rather attached to them. Dane became more of a sort of pesky little brother she never got. While Dino showed her things that she hadn't really thought of. He was the one that made her want to change. Want to be softer, kinder. Dino was her first crush. The first person she ever had real feelings for. And then he was gone. Gemma was devastated over the loss of a very close friend. Which only made her lean more into the relationship with her sister. She became much more playful and kinder with Grace. More supportive and understanding rather than a sibling rival. After Dino was pronounced dead Gemma began losing her interest in the Guild. What was the point of it all? Why were they fighting and killing their own kind? Nothing made sense anymore.
Gemma felt lost. All she wanted was to discover who she was outside of the Guild. What made her unique? Though she never officially left Gemma did start hunting less and less. Without saying anything she made it pretty evident that she no longer had the drive she used to. Much to her fathers disappointment and bewilderment. It seems he's still trying to herd Gemma back. To bring back his smart, strong, ruthless oldest daughter. But she's shown no interest in really going back in some time.
