- - ABOUT

Corrine is a young woman who is a former wallflower, still working to come out of her shell, but she is quite compassionate and hard working. Corrine is also Gifted, having an offshoot of bone manipulation that involved ironized bone that protrudes from her skin. She moved to Los Eurosia about five years ago, pursuing an academic career in the Criminal Justice field and has lived here since. Due to this, she has worked for the S. C. Police department as a jail deputy, patrol officer, and recently moved up in the ranks of becoming a detective. Though she has likewise found herself involved in the mysterious group, Blackstorm, having a desire to help those Gifted like herself to find confidence to reveal themselves to the world.

- - PLATONIC

Corrine has always been one to struggle to find close friends, especially from living in a small town and standing out from her gift. And well, always being extremely shy and quiet has lingered even after finding her voice. So, friends are hard to come by, and she does take time to get warmed up to someone. But, she is more inclined to perhaps become close to fellow detectives, officers, other law enforcement and those of Blackstorm.

- - ANTAGONISTIC

Corrine has never actively gone looking for trouble, and tends to steer clear of drama. But, it does seem to find her regardless. Being quiet and metal bony protrusions have long made her a social pariah, causing her to have her share or bullies and enemies. More so, her gift has caused a fair bit of problems despite her attempts to disguise it as say extensive body modification in the moment. Yet, people still call her freak of nature. Plus, now that she is a member of Blackstorm there are bound to be some ruffled feathers for normal and Gifted humans alike, or even encounters with Hunters and the Sector.

- - ROMANTIC

Corrine’s love life might as well be Encanto’s popular “We don’t talk about Bruno”. Because, she never really talks about her love life, nor has she actively pursued a relationship. Corrine is already somewhat awkward socially, and when it comes to relationships she gets downright tongue tied. She is also known to get attached quick and makes a fool of herself. And just…has a hard time expressing how she feels towards someone. Perhaps a special someone will help her through this though.


- - PLOT HOOKS

• Obviously, anyone No has a character part of Blackstorm is more than welcome to plot with Corrine. Perhaps a recruiting campaign, a meeting, or just an outing for getting to know one another better. Let’s build a sweet superhero team together!
  
  Law enforcement buddies! Corrine has been part of Los Eurosia’s law enforcement for quite a while, so she is bound to know a fair few of its deputies, officers, and the like. Maybe a former partner on the force? Class buddies? Or even a soured criminal she helped put away or has interacted with before would be cool.
  
  Someone getting Corrine to come out of her shell more! Whether it be platonic or romantic, I am fully open to someone trying to get her more confident. If it is romantic, I do want it to be a build up overtime, and she is bisexual so male or female works!

Reina Catherine Krause

- - ABOUT

Reina is a Gifted individual, having the power to manipulate and transmutate herself into natural glass. By nature, she is better described as impish, coy, and morally ambiguous with a soft spot for the broken, downtrodden, and abandoned. By all sense of the word, life has not been kind to her for half of it, most of which was spent in an orphanage, an abusive home, and living on the streets. Yet, it shaped her into being an independent and guarded woman who is far more careful in life and knowing how to roll with the punches as well as give her own. She has worked herself up from where she grew up, having lived in Germany before coming to Los Eurosia to open her own business, Glassy Wonders. But, she has been known to cause a little mayhem in town from time to time.

- - PLATONIC

Friends have never been Reina’s forte. Most of them have been like her, untrusting, betrayed, and left to rot, means to an end for survival than true friendship. None of them have been long-term save for a few. But even then, Reina has lost many when she moved away from Germany. She is quite guarded and slow to trust save for some exceptions, so it may take time to chip away at these defenses. Though, this may be different for those who share similar backgrounds as her own.

- - ANTAGONISTIC

Enemies Reina is never short of. She doesn’t strive to have close relationships, rather she makes connections that are a means to an end or for mutual benefit. Sometimes she is even fine crossing the line to betrayal. Outside this, she is wary of “normies” as she likes to call those who are not Gifted due to her past experiences and watching the experiences of those like her. She looks down on those without powers and rarely shows interest in them beyond casual conversation or customers. Plus she is a familiar face already to causing a fair bit of chaos at times.

- - ROMANTIC

This is something Reina has never actively looked into. The need for survival and trying to build her own life came first, so this always was set aside. Now, Reina is unsure how she feels about becoming romantically involved due to her trust issues and seems to prefer short flings or flirtations than anything serious. But, this could change if the right person steps into her life.


- - PLOT HOOKS

• Customer interactions at her business are always open!
  
  Those who are like her: scarred by life experience and broken in some way. Reina has known this life and still struggles with the aftermath in her current years, so she is always open to helping those like herself. It is the only time she shows a kinder side. Perhaps she can take them in like her adoptive parents did her.
  
  Tense run ins with Hunters or those who have a dislike for Gifted. Reina herself isn’t above showing open disdain and will gladly trade some words (or fists).

[Nell Shepherd]

Corrine & Blanc

Being that Blanc Renoir is the Sector chief (who is officially just known to be a fed), he and Corrine would likely know each other from him floating into investigations and taking them over with his own agents. He's also an asshole most of the time and doesn't get along with a lot of people - a perfect person for Corrine to butt heads with. We can even have a plot with her discovering that he's not just a simple federal agent and is actually targeting her specifically, which would be fun!

Maybe my character Nell Shepherd can be the one to help Corrine get out of her shell more? Nell is definitely more of a homebody, but she is definitely social and relatively charismatic and would take Corrine to her favorite food spots or make her do karaoke nights and other fun stuff like that.

Reina & Nell

I really want Reina and Nell to meet because they both come from broken homes and Nell would love to commission little glass figurines of animals from her. And it's probably just an excuse to hang out with Reina more. I imagine Reina would like Nell, as well, since she works to help animals and is generally a bleeding heart. Also, since I can imagine them becoming close because Nell would be drawn to her mischievousness, I just have this idea of Nell learning German and surprising Reina with it one day.

Corrine & Blanc
She would definitely butt heads with him for sure! Especially with her being Blackstorm and more comes to light, I imagine she would come to view him as an enemy of sorts. It would be one of the few times Corrine wouldn’t hesitate to make her thoughts known, and view the agents as a hindrance to doing their jobs.

Corrine & Nell
I would not mind this! Nell would be a difference in personality, but probably something Corrine would need. I could see them being either fast friends or friends over time, and perhaps bond over not being originally from Los Eurosia. Ironically, they’re from opposite sides of the country which could be fun for them comparing differences from where they come from!

Reina & Nell
For sure I can see these two becoming friends. Reina it would just take a little longer since she doesn’t trust so quickly, but she would most definitely gravitate towards Nell when learning of her own past. I could see Reina remarking that Nell is too nice at times, though as a sort of playful annoyance.

Blanc & Zane
And while I’m writing this, these two definitely have to meet at some point. Maybe Blanc suspects something off about Zane, or just them being superior and subordinate. Zane is still technically a newbie with The Sector, and is a bit more naive regarding what the Sector actually wants to do with Gifted. Maybe they can come into conflict from time to time since Zane seems to better understand the Gifted and help them rather than keep tabs.

let me know if you wanna thread any of these!! also yes, 100% at blanc/zane - i'd love for him to put zane on edge haha. but he'd definitely kind of take him under his wings and try to show him the ropes. not in a very nice way, unfortunately.

I think these two could be good friends. Esha has a similar background of being bullied when she was younger due to her powers being visible all the time, much like Corrine. On top of that, I think Esha could definitely be the type of person who can try to get Corrine to act a bit more on the wild side, she loves going out whenever the occasion arises. Esha might also try to play matchmaker for her, whether she wants it or not.

Mirror and I also have a thing in the works where her character Noah is going to convince Esha to join Blackstorm, so maybe Corrine can show her the ropes? Because if Esha joins, she’s going to be pretty uncertain about the whole cause in general. And given the fact that Corrine and Esha have that similar background, but very different perceptions about their powers and Blackstorm, it could make for some interesting character dynamics. Corrine wants people to be proud about their powers and not conceal themselves from normal people, but Esha prefers to keep herself hidden and has no feeling of pride for her powers.

I feel like Corrine could be the one person she could feel comfortable talking about her powers around, because most other people, even if they knew, she would prefer not to. With Corrine though, their competing philosophies would make it a necessary talking point.

Oooh! We most definitely have to do these two! I have been meaning to drop a post on your plotter but haven’t had the time. Corrine would love to befriend someone whose powers are noticeable like her own since she hasn’t met many outside her own family that do. And their contrast would make for a fun dynamic honestly. Perhaps their differing philosophies and similar powers are what help them bond into a good friends.

Corrine and Deacon

They're bit of opposites when it comes to lifestyle. Deacon being more outgoing and prone to less than legal activity and Corrine being socially awkward and on the side of the law. I could see them being a good influence on each other, with Deacon helping her get out of her shell and Corrine playing on his responsibility. Would be good to get some interactions with him and the Blackstorm, so maybe she tries to recruit him? I was thinking a mora casual meeting, perhaps in a bar or bumping somewhere, or even Corrine checking if the new biker in town would be a troublemaker. I can see them being friends or developing some sort of rivalry if she discovers his criminal activities. Or they could still mantain a friendship while on opposite sides, maybe Corrine trying to bring him over to Blackstorm or something like that.

Reina and Deacon

Deacon didn't have the best childhood. He can probably count on the fingers of his hands how many times he saw his dad outside of jail, his mother wasn't really there and he had to look after a younger brother, being exposed to a life of crime pretty early. Initially he just internalizes it and tries not to think about it. "Out of sight, out of mind", but the scars never truly healed and still affects his life. Perhaps she could be the one to get him to open up about that. Either way they could be friends, maybe Deacon could stop by her shop at some point or vice-versa since he is a mechanic.

Awesome! With Esha potentially being a junior recruit for Blackstorm, should we have their first thread together as agents? Like, maybe Esha gets assigned to Corrine since she has seniority over her so that she can show her the ropes around town.

Deacon & Corrine:
Honestly, this would be pretty interesting. With being a detective and former jail deputy, I’m sure Corrine is familiar with most of the biker gang members around town. So, seeing someone new would pique her interest of not knowing if he is someone new to the scene or just happens to dress the part. Perhaps a bar meeting where she’s stopping by after a long shift at work and getting some drinks to wind down.

Reina & Deacon:
More than likely these two would be friends eventually. Reina herself is pretty guarded, but she is more inclined to open up towards those who are “broken” in a sense or from a similar background. Misfits are also up there! Since she is also involved in the criminal life somewhat, they probably would encounter each other out and about on the streets at night.

Corrine and Deacon

This is a solid idea. You only need a look at him to know he is a biker, his MC is based in Texas but they've been expanding, so far there isn't anything that links them to crimes yet, but doesn't take a genius to know they're up to no good. We could also do plots in the future where they team up to take down a biker gang or something like that, or bump into one of her investigations. As for meeting at the bar, do you want to start or should I?
