Hello, I'm Rinse! I'm twenty-eight and I started roleplaying on Warrior Cat forums over fourteen years ago (lolol). I took a very long break from roleplaying when I was about twenty and Build God has been my first real step back into the RP world! I live in Central USA but work third shift (9pm-8am, M-Th), so I'm around at weird hours of the day. Work makes it difficult to be very productive during the week, so I might be slow to respond and reply until the weekends. Regardless, I'd love to cook up some plots and shenanigans with anyone and everyone, so don't be afraid to drop a line if you've got ideas! <3 [break][break]
On the whole, I prefer angsty sorts of plots, but I'm a sucker for romance, too, especially if they're conflicted. Sometimes I fear my writing may be a little too heavy for people to really enjoy (kinda just putting this out there as a warning lol). I'm not the best at action-heavy stuff either, but I am willing to try my best! Having said that, nothing is really off the table for me. I'm open to writing fluff, dark, domestic, wild — whatever you're feeling![break][break]

About Tawny
Tawny is a nice-enough gal. She's always open to making new friends and doing new, fun things. She does have a tendency to flip-flop between friendly/open and gloomy/withdrawn, though. She's someone who values her own independence — she never wants to be to anyone else what she was to her father growing up (nor does she want to be like her father, needing someone as bad as he needed her). Even though she actually does better around others, she hates the idea of being dependent on anyone and so has gotten into the habit of cutting ties and isolating herself at times (even though it tends to make her depression worse). [break][break]
Tawny lives in a Downtown Apartment, works as a therapist, and also works for the Sector! She can manipulate (or even erase) memories through skin-to-skin contact. She can be quietly nosy at times, usually never hesitating to take a peek into the heads/pasts of strangers that she thinks might be interesting. She would show much more restraint and respect to her acquaintances and friends, however, feeling that using her Gift on those close to her is rather invasive.

Platonic
Making nice and being friends honestly shouldn't be too difficult! Tawny likes people and she's generally pretty cool. Not difficult to get to open up. She's (usually) up for going out and trying new things, if she's given no reason not to trust someone. She's really terrible at keeping friendships alive though and lets many of them fizzle out. A chronic ghoster. Just when a person thinks they're really vibing and they've got possible BFF potential on their hands, she'll ignore their calls and just kinda disappear for a while. She can be a capricious little feline at times, winding in and out of people's lives. This can often leave budding friendships in the cold, with the other person wondering if maybe there was nothing there after all.
Antagonistic
I guess a person can hate her if they really want to, but why? She's such a sweetheart (most of the time)! If they've just got one of those personalities that just doesn't click well with hers, then I guess things can get out of hand, but Tawny doesn't typically try and start shit. Not to say she doesn't have the capacity to be catty or to hate someone, though. She certainly does (and it would be super fun to explore that side of her). [break][break]
She likely wouldn't like anyone who is very open with their powers or who uses their powers to do "Bad Things". It's her belief that powers should be hidden for the safety of all Gifted. It would be interesting for someone to try and convince her otherwise (because Tawny isn't usually very confident about any of her opinions). Otherwise, most of the people who don't like her are probably ex-friends who got tired of her avoidance; who she let down, abandoned, or canceled plans on one too many times. Possibly even scorned lovers who might feel like she horribly led them on when she went cold and cut them loose?

Romantic
Romance was just never in the cards for her. Nothing serious ever happened. Or more like... she didn't let anything get too serious. Tawny's always strived to be as independent as possible — to prove something to herself in a way — and so when things got too serious with someone in the past, she's always panicked and broke things off. She's had a number of relationships that all look the same, with her eventually drifting away and putting distance between her and her partner. She can be a flirt and overall prefers casual hook-ups, unserious flings, friends who occasionally sleep together, that kind of thing. It'd be fun for her to have some people she already knows and who are already established to have these sort of situationships with her — where they call each other when they're lonely and in need of another body, knowing there's nothing more to it than what it is. Or knowing that there's nothing more to it from her end. Perhaps they feel different. Or not. Or, on the other hand, someone she's scorned. [break][break]
She currently has a weird "are we/aren't we" thing happening with Noah St Cloud right now, so she isn't likely to start any new situationships and has ignored/rejected continuing any of her existing ones. This could raise questions with anyone she's been regularly involved with (people who might expect her to be up and willing when they call for her). And it isn't completely impossible that Tawny won't try and mess things up with Noah somewhere down the line in that sabotaging way she has. Habits die hard.

Plot Hooks/Ideas
- Such a Troublemaker! - Tawny's place in the Sector typically boils down to manipulating the memories of a human whose encounter with a Gifted could stir up some trouble. Let's say there's one particular Gifted who has caused... more than a handful of problems that she's had to fix? And now she's finally met them. Maybe she'll get the idea to pull up her breeches and give this person a talking to! "You make a lot of work for me! Aren't you at all concerned about the consequences of your actions!?"
Gym Disaster - Tawny and you go to the same gym. She can't help but notice you, because you're just.... super attractive and sweaty, and this is how every rom-com starts, with a meet-cute at the gym, right? Right? Anyway, long story short, she may have busted her ass on the treadmill in her distraction. Damn it! (That can be the whole idea, but also, if it's something that sparks a little more interest, Tawny could try and manipulate this memory in the other person's mind. Because this was not how a meet-cute at the gym was supposed to go. So now she's weirdly trying to touch you, and maybe isn't as subtle as she thinks, and now she's caught and it's even weirder! She's totally canceling her membership after this.)
- Should I Be Concerned? - Tawny accidentally sees something traumatic or harrowing in your character's memories and, despite everything, feels she needs to pull you aside and ask if you're okay or if you need help. Could be a misunderstanding, could not.
A Terrible Night - Tawny is pulled out into a night of fun by her friends. Unfortunately, things take a turn for the worse and she gets overstimulated/overwhelmed and ends up a wreck outside, total breakdown. Feel like witnessing this and trying your best to help her out/cheer her up?
- "GET YO FUCKIN DOG BIT-" "It Don't Bite" "YES IT DO GET" - Tawny is the type of person who'd cross the street when she sees a dog on a leash coming her way. Pretty much any animal larger than a cat is kinda scary to her. Maybe you have a friendly pet who accidentally corners her? Or maybe there's like... for some reason... a random dog or, idk... goat?... on the loose and... well, see her having some Trouble™ lmao.
- Smoking Gun - Tawny leased an art studio but, unfortunately, it's been targeted/vandalized a couple of times in the past year. Maybe she is having a late night and decides to stress-paint, but... when she gets there... the place has been ransacked AGAIN. Maybe your character just comes across her having a cry about it. Maybe your character came across it ten minutes earlier and stepped inside to take a look around (and now she thinks YOU'RE the vandal! Cue her trying to be tough but also scared out of her mind as she fumbles through her purse to try and find her keys or phone but only being able to produce a Snickers bar in her panic)?
- Drunk & Alone - Tawny ends up stumbling home from the club by herself. But somewhere along the way she lost her keys! Find her drunk and crying on the steps of her apartment building or crying and cursing as she stumbles around in an attempt to retrace her steps. Help her look! Or give her a boost so she can climb up the fire escape to her second-story apartment (maybe the neighbor below her REALLY doesn't like this lmao and decides to make a scene).

[attr="class","befriends-polyphony"]
About Dane
Born among a long line of hunters and raised in a criminal syndicate with little censorship even as a little boy, Dane grew up a pretty desensitized kid. Nursed by the nature of his family, this lack of moral standing quickly became apathy, sadism, and unbridled malicious intent. Dane's an intelligent guy but doesn't give a shit about much of anything (which includes even the Guild and himself). He's hardworking (when it suits him), charismatic (when he wants to be), and really a fun guy (if you sympathize with his idea of "fun", that is).[break][break]
As a hunter, he's frequently tasked with eliminating Gifted individuals but often isn't as quick to draw the gun as most (given he's usually acting on his own accord/whims in stiff defiance of his piece-of-shit father). Dane is Gifted himself and can summon a great number of animals, seemingly from thin air.

Platonic
If you think Dane's your friend, then you might be... slightly mistaken. Don't get me wrong, there are people he doesn't mind being around, people he likes, and people he can actually enjoy himself with. He is capable of "getting along" and isn't always a difficult person to hold a conversation or drink a beer with. Just... don't expect a whole lot from him. Don't think that sharing a laugh or a pleasant conversation counts for much in his books. [break][break]
He's not the type to genuinely care for anyone. Or even if he does end up caring for someone, I still wouldn't count on him to have your back if there's something more entertaining to do. He can play friendly for a while but even that can fall through if he decides it's not that fun anymore. He can flip a switch at the drop of a dime (especially if he gets bored). Even though he hates losing to anyone, the people he'd most likely get along with are people who he can have a laugh with while they kick his ass.

Antagonistic
Yeah, that's super fair. Probably where most people will find themselves, one way or another. There are bound to be tons of these types of relationships. Out of the Guild, in the Guild, hunting targets, goody-two-shoes, cops, anybody who looks at him wrong, he doesn't care. Let's pull knives on one another, Dane's all about that. Good ole scraps and fist fights. Beat him up, stab him, just give him an absolute shit time. He enjoys being loathed (like 98% of the time). [break][break]
You can be a Gifted individual he's been tasked with hunting? Someone who "left" the Guild that he's sniffing out? Or just someone who decided to step in and stop him from being a shitty garbage boy to someone else. Family of people he's killed, perhaps? Someone he tries to sloppily hit on at the bar after he's had one too many? The possibilities are limitless.

Romantic
Goodness, why would anyone want to romance this guy? Physical gratification is certainly a thing and Dane's always game for a little canoodling (if the person is pretty enough). He could maybe even play/pretend a little love (if it's not too terrible) and he thinks (for some crazy, wild reason) doing so is worth it. But, on the whole, he likes to keep it casual. Any "girlfriend" he has ever had has understood that there was never any expectation of "exclusivity" on either's part. [break][break]
I wouldn't say it's impossible to snag this guy in a genuine way. He is capable of it. But he's pretty steeped in his current ways. While he can be charming and romantic when he wants to be, a lot of the time, why would he bother? Any sort of romance with him very likely wouldn't be fluffy.

Plot Hooks/Ideas
- Ease Into the Rhythm - Couples dancing at a club! Dane's having a good night and decides to hit the floor. Maybe he catches your eye, or vice versa, and things get groovy.
One More Chance to Die - So maybe you already know Dane. And he crawls up to your second-story apartment, bleeding and dying, in hopes that you can stitch him up?
- Take Me Home Tonight - I'm drunk and got into a fight in the bar. You find me stumbling down the sidewalk trying to get home, and awwwww, you Good Samaritan, you want to help me. c,: Can be terrible or Dane can be in a somewhat pleasant mood due to being beaten to a pulp and drunk.
- A Little Too Much Last Night - Oh, so Dane slept in your car last night and you found him on your way to work. What's the big deal? No need to call the cops, he didn't take anything. It was raining! You're the one who didn't lock the doors!
- I Know I'm a Wolf - It'd be really fun for Dane to be hunting your Gifted character but then decide that s/he's actually a pretty rad person and naaaah, the Guild can fuck off, let's go get drinks. Maybe they could kick his ass, give him a good fight, and then he's like "ya know what, you good, nvm".
- I (Love to) Hate You - I had this idea that Dane might have a "partner in crime". A fellow Guild member who is a lot better put together than him. Maybe this character is really well-liked by Dane's dad and so he saddled them together in hopes of keeping Dane a little bit contained. This partner in crime is probably just ... a little bit better than Dane at... pretty much everything. (Just a little more handsome, a little more charming, the tiniest bit better in a knife or fist-fight, you name it.... this dude/gal is just slightly superior.) They and Dane have this snarky hate for each other that's veiled thinly and poorly with half-assed, sarcastic politeness. But I could see it being a love/hate thing, too, like... they actually do work well together as partners, but Dane just... *clenches fist*... really kinda hates him/her, y'know? And it's def mutual. But it's the kind of hate where you enjoy hating each other. Kinda like... "I hate you so much, but I wouldn't let anyone kill you... because then it wouldn't be fun anymore." "I hate you so much, but who knows, if we got drunk, I might duet with you at karaoke. But don't try and upstage me or it'll end in a knife-fight you always do that you prick where the fuck DOYOUGETOFF?"

[attr="class","befriends-polyphony"]
About Gavyn
Gavyn is just your average almost-thirty, fun-loving male. Though he looks like your stereotypical, selfie-loving douchebag, he's more like a big, dopey puppy than anything else — mostly harmless, though he might accidentally maul you with affection. He's a bartender and really loves his job along with the people he encounters through it. Chat him up at the bar, have him hold your hair back when you're drunk, mistake him for someone intimidating, whatever! [break][break]
He also performs as a musician/singer and participates heavily in local theatre. Come watch a show or maybe he can convince you to audition? Lastly, Gavyn possesses the gift of analgesia, making him completely insensitive to pain, though he's unaware this is a gift and has always believed it to be a rare medical condition. His analgesia can sometimes bleed onto other people when he sings/performs for them, but similarly, this is something he's always chalked up to his prowess and magnetism as an entertainer.

Platonic
Typically, Gav has no difficulty making friends. The biggest barrier to cross in these matters is finding people who can tolerate his personality (since it isn't very difficult to get him to like you). He's a social creature who has difficulty entertaining himself by himself so he's always seeking friends, someone to fawn over appreciatively, or some shenanigans he can drag anyone and everyone into. [break][break]
Expect someone who refuses to leave you alone when you're down. Who occasionally has to be beaten off with a stick when he becomes too intrusive and doting. Spams of texts at 3am because he met a puppy on his walk home and he wants you to see how unbelievably cute it was. Will remember every little detail you tell him about yourself, even the smallest things slipped in passing, and will bombard you with small things he knows that you like out of the blue. He'd make a good friend but might be considered somewhat high-maintenance.

Antagonistic
Gavyn doesn't go around seeking enemies but he is a dramatic guy who can nonetheless stir up some shit and find himself at the blunt end of someone's hate/dislike. Whether you just don't like his annoying, overbearing personality, or you hurt one of his friends, or... are just generally a very nasty person? Despite his size and physical strength, Gavyn is a bit of a coward, so any sort of antagonism on his part is bound to be all bark and no bite. However, he is a bit of a "mama hen" and can summon some semblance of backbone if he feels he needs to act on someone else's behalf. He will just rarely stick up for himself.
Romantic
While Gavyn is certainly open to casual flings and attachment-less hookups, sex isn't all that important to him. If it happens, it happens, and that's cool, but Gav's an affectionate kind of guy who just digs being close and involved in someone's life in general. A not-so-secret fluff-butt who'd shower the object of his adoration with too much literally all the time. [break][break]
He dates a lot, trying to find that person he can just chill with, where it's easy and right and good. He's very forward and doesn't hold back in these types of things. He thinks he falls in love a lot but nothing has ever really lasted. He probably just wears people out after a while. But he's always willing to be friends when being lovers doesn't work out. It's very easy to be both to him and to step over and back over that line between friendship and romance. He doesn't tend to make these things difficult. [break][break]
He's friendly with everyone, including most of his exes, and could be accused of being a flirt. He does have a history of choosing significant others who aren't very nice to him. Of staying in relationships where he was being blatantly used for his generosity and willingness to give all he had to the other person, as well as his inclination to forgive all the shitty things they put him through. He never has and likely never will learn from these past mistakes and there may be a bit of him that holds onto the belief that was hammered into him that he deserved everything done to him. That it was his fault. He was always too much. Too clingy. Too annoying. He can carry these sentiments into his present relationships, sometimes reeling back, hushing himself, or apologizing for his animated antics when it occurs to him that they might be turning someone off from him.

Plot Hooks/Ideas
- Ren Faire! - The possibilities are endless. You know my boy goes all-in and over-the-top. He's dressed to the nine's, he's got the accent. Maybe there's a LARPing incident and he makes sure you're okay. Maybe his buddies cajole him into performing a soliloquy for you. Maybe you're in line to get a leg of mutton and lost your wallet somewhere. Whatever!
Caution to the Wind - Your character catches Gavyn hopping over someone's fence and assumes he's doing a B&E. But he's quick to assure you he does this all the time! It's nothing like that, promise! He just likes to sleep on the trampoline when his roommate kicks him out or has someone over (brow waggle). But you should totally see this guy's backyard!! Come on, come on, you'll love it!! Let's lay out and look at the stars. Or come up with backstories for all of his funny little garden gnome statues. c:
- Bruh, Totally NBD, I Promise - I fell asleep on your balcony last night while trying to climb to my BFF's apartment two floors above yours. Sorry I vomited in your plotted plants. Also, it's really fucking cold outside, can I come in? Alternatively: I accidentally miscounted windows and broke into your apartment instead of my BFF's. Your pet's a really terrible guard cat/dog and in the morning you find us asleep on your living room floor, cuddling.
- Pls Rate 5 Stars - Gavyn gets a night job as an Uber driver. The possibilities of how weird and/or fucked up this can become with anyone are virtually endless.
Woops, Crime - I know you've been watching me pocket some D&D dice for the past ten minutes (they're expensive, pls don't judge), and I can also tell you're planning to tell the clerk. So I sneaked some of my 'booty' into your purse/bag and when you went and ratted me out, I made sure to bring you down with me. Now we're both running. Fortunately, I've forgiven you for tattling and am happily dragging you along to save your sorry ass.
What the Fresh Hell!? - Anyone with power-negating powers can have Gavyn experience pain for the first time. [cue huge dramatics for something as tiny as a little pinprick] What did you DO to me? What do you MEAN feet ache after pulling double-shifts!!?
- It Makes No Damn Sense! ... Compels Me Though - Watch Gav put on a show, singing songs about fantasy lands, D&D, or achy-breaky folk love songs. Maybe when he's done you approach him to let him know you have no heckin' idea what she was singing about, but well done! Or just bash the shit out of him and break his little sensitive heart.
- Bravi! Bravi! - Omg, what if we watched a musical together? He's got tickets to Hadestown and needs someone to go with him. Let him rope you in and let him cry on your shoulder afterward. Or just be sobbing messes together, whatever.
- I Write Poetry, So Brace Yourself - Sometimes street performing requires a bit of audience participation. Fortunately (or more likely unfortunately), Gavyn picks you out of the people around him. Maybe you were actively listening, maybe you were just passing by. But now let him just sing and rain some sing-songy praise on you, probably try and make you dance with him. Take it how you will.
- Oh, Uh... No... That Guy's Scary - Let's just say there's a situation where you were maybe hoping for a little more from him. Someone steals your purse. Gets pushy in the bar that he bartends at. And you think maybe Gavyn can rescue you. Thing is, Gav's a huge coward. So he'd just put up his palms and be useless. Sorry 'boutcha luck.

About Ashley
Ashley Wolfe — formerly known as Dino Wayland — was born into a hunting family and raised in the Guild, where he did more than his fair share of terrible, inhumane things. He was a kind and gentle kid though and this beastly lifestyle rode pretty hard on his conscience. Much of his early life was spent wishing for a desensitization that never came. He escaped the Guild over six years ago by faking his death and now he's your seemingly average, quiet and kind fella who frequents book and flowershops. Currently reveling in his insignificance and technical non-existence and waiting for his bloody past to catch up with him. [break][break]
Upon leaving the Guild, Ashley adopted a dog and traveled, never staying in one place long enough to make friends or be remembered. Eventually though, California called him back home. He put down roots in Los Eurosia about two years ago, building a house in West Hook. He began fostering dogs, venturing out and slowly testing once more having social circles, and finally took up an occupation as a caretaker in a retirement home where he's well-loved by the elderly staff.

Platonic
If you forget about all that nasty Guild business, Ashley is a decent guy. He'd be a caring friend, honestly. Sensible and perceptive. Would definitely watch your laptop in a cafe while you went to the bathroom. He's friendly enough to initiate a conversation on his own and has a soft, benevolent way about him. An easy person to talk to. He'd make someone feel cared about and would be willing to do just about anything to be seen as a good and benevolent guy. [break][break]
In fact, most friendships probably can't survive much more than that. While Ashley is willing to stick with somebody through thick and thin — willing to weather both the pretty and ugly parts of them — he's bound to withdraw entirely if someone gets a glimpse of the more unsightly bits of him.
In fact, most friendships probably can't survive much more than that. While Ashley is willing to stick with somebody through thick and thin — willing to weather both the pretty and ugly parts of them — he's bound to withdraw entirely if someone gets a glimpse of the more unsightly bits of him.
Antagonistic
Obviously Ashley isn't going to be buddy-buddying with any criminals or hunters. Regardless, he probably has a few enemies from his past. He's done a number of terrible things and no doubt many decent people were hurt, directly or indirectly. But he's left that life behind, so if you connect him to some horrible deed from back then... well, that's... just not good for anyone. It'd be fun though! x3 [break][break]
It would take some determination to make an enemy out of him as he is now. Unless you hurt or threaten someone he cares about. Like all Waylands, he does possess a scary and unpredictable temper, but he's a slow-burn; it takes a whole lot to make him actually snap. He's trying super hard to be as far removed as possible from who he was as Dino Wayland so he's bound to try and avoid conflict and confrontation for as long as possible. If you push him into that corner where he has to revert back to that person, he eventually will... but he's going to hate you for it.

Romantic
There's a tiny bit of reluctance here. Even if Ashley really likes a person and they've got the chemistry, there'd be a tiny, conflicted slice of conscience keeping him from allowing them to get "too close". If he were discovered by the Guild to be... well, not dead, it probably wouldn't be the most ideal thing in the world to be a person he cares a lot for. To be his weak spot. (You've seen the movies, you know how it goes.)[break][break]
But that said, there could still be something! Because this kind of personal conflict and him ignoring those pinprickles of worry/dread even as he's full-blown happy with a person, is just... kinda fun, right? Underlying conflict is fun! Give him a girlfriend so he can agonize over the not-so-improbable possibility that one day she'll be tortured and killed! Or even a boyfriend... maybe. Ashley's bisexual but not openly, and there's even more tentativeness there. He knows he's bisexual but it wouldn't be a simple thing for him to find the certainty to act on any same-sex attraction. No promises it would work out. It's not totally impossible, it just wouldn't be an easy, linear process.

Plot Hooks/Ideas
- My Grandma Told Me About You - Ashley works at a retirement home, taking care of and attending to the elderly residents. If it's possible your character has a relative there, maybe they've told them about him? He's well-liked by the residents and goes out of his way to make them feel cared for (sitting with them, listening to their stories, fetching groceries for them, taking them out of the home for a bit, etc). It could be possible they've told Ashley about your character as well! Maybe some embarrassing stories from your character's youth lmao. Anyway, they could run into each other at the retirement home, before or after your character's visit, or really whatever! Maybe Grandma even tries to set them up, looooool~
- Need a Friend? - Ashley also fosters dogs. Maybe you're looking to adopt a pet and your character is sent his way? Or perhaps you lost your dog and they somehow ended up in Ashley's care and they could finally be returned to you? Or maybe you trapped a dog and Ashley was sent out to you because all the pound/shelters were full and couldn't take them?
- Trembling Hands - For whatever reason, Ashley gets covered in blood. Maybe there's an accident. Or maybe someone is attacked. Whatever the reason, he goes into a PTSD-type fit. Shaking, flashbacks, bad time all around. However your character fits into this, and the situation itself, is largely up for playing around with.
- Jackal & Borzoi - This isn't so much a Plot Hook as a whole ass plot idea/Wanted Ad hook. Jackal is the name I've given the man whom Dino escaped the Guild with. Dino had a huge ole crush on him but they went their separate ways to play it safe. Anyway, in my head, Jackal has a particularly ruthless and cut-throat younger sister (also in the Guild) who is looking for him. And my thinking is that she's sussed out Ashley? She isn't interested in ratting him out or bringing him in. She doesn't give a shit about him. But she might think she could use him to smoke out her brother?
- Someone Better Tell Him - Ashley is invited out to a bar and doesn't realize it's a gay bar. He remains oblivious for a bit — despite some obvious and (perhaps comical) warning signs. Why is he only being approached by dudes? Why is Grandpa wearing assless chaps? What is in the water today? Perhaps your character realizes he's not quite getting it and decides to take a little pity and clue him in?

About Christian
Christian was the last of five sons and the only one who was seemingly born Giftless. Being both the "baby" and "weakest" of the bunch — as well as the only non-straight dude in a sea of testosterone — he grew up feeling a little sidelined and underestimated. If you count his extended family — the grandparents, aunts, uncles, and dozens of cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews, second cousins, blah blah — the Savino pack is huge. Christian aside, the whole lot of them possess Gifts that they not only celebrate openly among themselves, but that they feel responsible for using for the betterment of their community. The Savino name is well-known in the Public Service sector and has bred many notable doctors, nurses, firefighters, paramedics, civil attorneys, etc. [break][break]
Since he wasn't Gifted like everyone else, Christian was largely excluded from this expectation. His parents (fearing for his well-being, since he was notably less hardy than his brothers) encouraged him to pursue a boring, "safe" career. Naturally, he ignored this completely and became a Police Officer instead, something his parents fret about and his brothers tease him about to this day. Despite their lack of faith though, Christian is a highly competent officer. And more importantly, he loves his job! Like all Savinos, even without a Gift, he feels a great, unspoken responsibility to his community and enjoys working the streets.

Platonic
Christian (and his huge family) have lived in Los Eurosia practically their entire lives. Similar-aged people could realistically already know and have some sort of pre-existing relationship with him, and people a little older or younger than him, could possibly know any one of his brothers or cousins. The Savinos are mostly a lively, fun-loving bunch. Frequent fliers in clubs/festivals. Throw and attend extravagant parties. Stuff like that. I'm all for people already knowing Christian or being familiar enough with him by proxy. [break][break]
However, this boy is always up for forging new friendships. He's a good, young guy. Kind and generous. Loves to have fun with friends. Does tons of outdoor activities as well as nightlife stuff like clubbing/drinking. You could catch him on a long-distance run, catch him at the beach, catch him at the gym, catch him in the club, catch him really anywhere. He's not bound to turn down a stab at conversation and can be charming and sassy. Most of the time, he warms up to people well. He can also meet people on the job, responding to calls and what-not.

Antagonistic
Just being a police officer, I'm sure there's an opportunity for bad blood between Christian and characters of the less "law-abiding" type. No one really likes a man in uniform showing up to throw a wrench in their criminal shenanigans. Beyond that, though, there are bound to be some people who Christian rubs the wrong way or who rub him the wrong way. He doesn't like teasing, doesn't like jokes made at his expense, and can certainly be a bitch if he decides he doesn't like someone. He'd stand up to anyone being rowdy/bullying/handsy at a bar or club. And he can be a bit judgmental, usually forming opinions of people from the start of an interaction and working off that. First impressions are everything and a bad one can take some time to reverse.
Romantic
Christian's a young guy. While he wouldn't be opposed to finding Mr. Right and settling down at this point in his life, neither is he too fussed about it. He's on multiple dating apps and is cool with keeping things casual or "hooking up". There have been a couple of relationships in the past where he moved too quickly, was too strong, was too "romantic", and was shot down/ghosted. As a result, he tries his best to "play it cool" and not get too intense too fast. [break][break]
And it's true, if he begins to catch feelings for someone, he does... go a little bit crazy. Overboard. Candlelit dinners and the like. He moves quickly once he's decided he actually likes someone and this can be understandably overwhelming if the other person is more comfortable with casual. Or thinks of them as just "having fun" and whatnot. He can be a lot very fast. And, in relationships, he tends to be the jealous, insecure type.

Plot Hooks/Ideas
- Show Me Responding - Maybe your character's in a full-blown altercation that gets the cops called on them and Christian pulls up to figure out what's going on. Whether you're the instigator, the victim, or just a witness, the possibilities are endless. It could be something hectic or something silly.
- Out of Control - Christian has some wild friends. Perhaps on a night-out, one of them gets a little too plastered (which isn't unusual). But now it's really, really hard to get her home safely (lol). Maybe Christian enlists your help? Or maybe his wild, drunk friend just tries to get him in trouble at the club. Pukes on your shoes. Tries to set him up with someone. Refuses to climb down from someone's car or refuses to give back something she stole from you.
- I'm Not A Detective... But - Christian's only a patrol officer. Follow-up and investigation is above his station and he's supposed to leave it to the big dogs. But maybe something happened, or something worse may soon happen if no one acts, and he just can't sleep on it. Anyway, he calls you up to see if you want to poke around with him. Maybe you're involved in some way or maybe you're just a friend okay with slinking around. Could be something like actually snooping through abandoned buildings/scenes of a crime or just sitting on the couch and scrolling through some video footage he nabbed. Or they can go canvassing together, pretending to be detectives (and likely getting in big trouble later if something goes off).
- You're a Gifted, Harry - Christian himself may be Human, but he is aware of Gifted and Hunters. He's grown up in a huge family of Gifted people who believe their powers should be used for good. He could be the one to have a talk with someone about being careful because of Hunters. Or encourage someone if they don't think their Gifts are very special (he'd be jealous but try and keep a wrap on that lol). Furthermore, I think he'd be very knowledgeable when it comes to going up against Hunters. Did he just watch one of his fellow officers take his own life after this perp grabbed him and said something? He's gonna quickly put together that a Gift might be at play and put on ear protection.
- Powers Activated! - Although I'm not really interested in doing this Plot Hook for quite a while, at some point, Christian will come into his Gifts. Right now they're dormant/latent and no one knows about them. However, I'm picturing a particularly dire/helpless/desperate situation in which either he or someone else is about to be killed, and boom — life-saving abilities.

About Luck
Born in rural Kansas, Luck's — at heart — a country-loving, beer-drinking, Nascar-watching "good ole boy". He was dirt-poor growing up, raised by a single mother, and was a hardworking and (somewhat awkward) boy. Though he ended up becoming quite social during the later years of his youth (mostly due to high-school sports), he never truly felt "in the right place" among his peers back home. When his mother died suddenly when he was seventeen, he finished school early and left. He then spent five or so wild years traveling West; never staying in one place too long as he tried to figure himself out. He let others draw bits and pieces of himself out in every little town he broke down in before eventually leaving everything in the rearview mirror once more. [break][break]
Over ten years ago, he kicked off his rambling boots and settled down in Los Eurosia. As isn't uncommon, the decision was mostly made for love. And since then, Luck has grown a lot. Where he was once a perpetually discomforted boy, not quite sure who he was or what he wanted, nowadays he is a fairly self-assured and steady person. On the whole, he is a laid-back individual who loves to see and try new things. A bit of a wanderer remains in him and he loves to travel as much as he loves to kick back. He's still a drinker, though he is much more tame about it nowadays: only rarely letting himself drink to that point where he gets infamously stupid like he used to. [break][break]
He currently works for the Sector and has for the past eight-ish years, advocating for Gifted individuals and helping those who are struggling, especially with placement, necessities, housing, employment, etc. It's a job he sort of accepted on a whim and — sometimes — he feels rather ill-equipped for it. He always imagined himself being blue-collar his whole life and left a year-and-a-half into a lineman apprenticeship to take his current position at a desk. He'd probably be much happier working with his hands, but — at that time in his life — he thought it was very important/attractive to be home every night, every weekend, every holiday, etc. [break][break]
All in all, Luck's not too complicated at a glance. He's helpful, kind, empathetic, and can be tender and caring. But he does still have some internalized issues and he isn't perfect. Though he's grown a lot, sure, there's still a little bit of that "lost, unbelonging boy" in him. And he can make himself weird and off-putting when he gets in his head in a bad way. He has his moments where he can be quietly vicious, especially if prodded when in a bad place. He's the type to retreat when he's feeling vulnerable, so usually it's only the people really close to him who have to put up with it... but he can... actually be very mean and childish when he isn't feeling comfortable.

Platonic
Luck's a shifty cat sometimes. He tends to be different things with different people. Put in the most simple of terms, he is an introverted character who can become completely extroverted around close friends (or with a bit of drink). He does much better — and is much more authentic — in intimate settings (such as private, one-on-one interactions or small hangs with people he knows well). In bigger or unknown crowds, he has a habit of keeping himself stiff and inhibited. Because of this, he might leave cold/aloof first impressions with strangers if met in "the wrong place". [break][break]
However, it honestly isn't a huge, trying task to befriend him. Once singled out and loosened up, Luck can be quite warm and amusing. It's an easy thing to assume him shy and boring — which he is a little — but only at first. Though he is far better than he used to be, he still struggles with overthinking, with a sense of belonging, and with never feeling like he's being his genuine self with others. So he can be slow to unwrap with strangers. But once he feels comfortable with a new person — once he's told a few bad jokes and the world didn't implode — he can very quickly grow animate and easy. [break][break]
It's still rare that he finds people he's comfortable enough with to be truly transparent and vulnerable. These sorts of circles are much smaller (and much more valuable) to him.

Luck isn't one to seek these sorts of relationships. If someone has beef with him, generally he will just want nothing to do with them. He's very much a simple "DNI" guy when it comes to these things. There's no point in rubbing elbows with someone he just doesn't vibe with or who will make him angry with their views or opinions. [break][break]
Back in his "heyday", he might have been a bit of a friendly "boys will be boys" brawler (and sometimes a belligerent/aggressive drunk), but he's much calmer and less wild than he used to be. Unless too much drink has made him "regress" a bit (not impossible), he's more likely to give an escalating situation multiple chances to defuse than fall bait to any sort of antagonism. [break][break]
But at the end of the day — when push comes to the third or fourth shove — Luck isn't completely above a fight. Especially if someone pushes the right buttons or it's on someone else's behalf. But a fight, to him, ends when one or the other is put on the floor. The point's been proven after a few, deserved blows. Anything more than that and things have gone too far.

Romantic
This is a tricky area at the moment. [break][break]
Again, back in his "heyday", Luck was far different from the man he is now. Never quite sleazy, always respectful, but most certainly loose and casual. He was a dive bar frequent, a seasoned charmer/flirt after a couple of drinks, and most certainly that stranger with lidded eyes and a heavy smile at last call. He never saw himself as someone who'd settle down and never pretended otherwise (even though he did feel things for a lot of people during this time). [break][break]
But... he did settle down.[break][break]
And now Luck is fresh out of a ten-year relationship and there's still a lot to unpack with the split from his ex. Ultimately, it was Luck's decision to leave, but he still isn't certain that moving on is what he really wants. Especially since the end of that relationship is something he's still actively working out — the cause of it, in his eyes, something within him that soured what was undeniably good. He's swinging violently from firmly deciding he needs to let it go — needs to give his ex his space and the chance to figure out for himself that there could be better — and wanting it back. [break][break]
It'd be interesting for others to be caught in the swing of that. Luck's in a weird space right now. I could see him regressing to how he used to be before his relationship with his ex. He's not ready for something new — what could be better than what he had anyway? — but he can't just wallow in "what's left" forever. However, it'd be a struggle. I can imagine him finding "casual" very difficult nowadays. He's not used to not caring about someone he's sleeping with anymore. It's just... a huge mess right now. He doesn't know where he wants to be.

Plot Hooks/Ideas
- Blast from the Past - Maybe Luck gets back into contact with someone he was involved with during his rambling man years. Someone he fell in love with a bit but still left behind. Maybe they begged him to stay. Maybe they're a little upset that, shortly after leaving them, he actually settled down. But maybe they meet up. Catch up in bars (which is probably where they met back then). Hook up "for old time's sake"? They'd both probably have changed quite a bit from how they remember one another. Maybe they give it another try. Or maybe they just part ways. Maybe it works. Maybe it doesn't. Maybe it's good. Maybe it's very bad. Who knows?
- And Just Like That - One thing I'd like to see in Luck's future, near or far, is that he realizes a lot of his unfaced unhappiness is owed in part to his job. And what better way to do that, than for something to go horribly wrong? I'm thinking he's thrown into a critical situation where he is supposed to be using his emotional manipulation/persuasion to keep shit from flying completely off the handle. But it goes badly. So badly that he's put under review, on suspension, is sure he is going to be fired, etc. Could be that it was too much for him to handle and that the Sector shouldn't have tossed him at it alone in the first place, or it could be something as "bad luck" and circumstantial as a bird startling him, a kid kicking a soccer ball into his face, etc. — making him lose his focus just enough for things to pop off. Either way, Dude gets thrown under the bus and has a Very Not Good Bad Very Bad Time™. He'd be a total wreck afterward. Maybe your character is a witness? Maybe your character is somehow involved in the incident in some way and is equally traumatized by it? We can brainstorm.
- Just Like Your Father - This isn't a horribly fleshed-out idea, but what if Luck discovered he had a kid (lmaooo)? He would be particularly heartbroken/devastated to find out (because he himself grew up without a father and would never have been absent had he known). Luck left his hometown rather abruptly at seventeen, so at the oldest the kid could be like... seventeen. At the youngest, probably... twelve? He spent about five years kinda roaming around, not always making the best decisions, so really anywhere between there is possible. If interested in this idea, you could be playing the kid? Or even the mother?
- Found Family (Literally) - Luck could also, somehow, discover some information about his paternal side of the family. He knows absolutely nothing about his father, so maybe some half-siblings or cousins come itching out of the woodwork in some way? In the same vein, he knows nothing about his maternal side of the family, either. His mother just... never had anyone. Luck never had any relatives (besides her) whatsoever. But maybe his mother was the black sheep of the family? And she did have people, but was (for some reason) completely severed from them. Could be interesting if a relation popped out of those circumstances as well.
- "I Do My Own Plumbing, Lady" - Luck's very handy. Maybe he is sent your way by a friend-of-a-friend when you have some sort of mechanical, plumbing, or vehicle issue? Or maybe you're broke down, or just out of gas, somewhere and he pulls over to help and/or give you a ride. Maybe together you and him can push your car to the nearest shop, he can be flabbergasted at how they're gonna gouge you (or maybe they're just making shit up), and he's like "naw, hell naw, I'll do this for you, bet".
- Drunk on a Plane - So, listen, Luck's just fresh out of a relationship, right? And he buys tickets, books vacations, and what-not way in advance. So it's likely he has some upcoming trips and/or events booked for two and he's suddenly partnerless. What if he can't get a refund? And, rather than asking his ex if they should still go "as friends" (becuase rightttttt, that's a good idea) or going alone (depressing), he asks you? Could be something big (involving a flight/hotels) or something small (like a show/performance). You could be someone he knows well. You could be someone he just met. Let's just see how it goes lmao.
- Sector Softball Team - Exactly what it says on the tin. Does the office have a softball team? I think YES. And I want to thread some teammate shenanigans lmaooo. Cheering each other on, being the person who loses the game, anything!! Show up late. Forget your jersey. Get snacks after. Throw a punch because someone did a dirty move. ASakdjfhdkjsfhsdf.
- ALRIGHT, CARRIE UNDERWOOD, CALM DOWN!! - Do something to his truck. Accidental or intentional. On the road or in a parking lot. Mistake his black Chevy for someone else's black Chevy (they're very common) and vandalize it. Watch homeboy come UNGLUED.
- Under the Stars - Your character and Luck are already friends? Text each other a lot? Maybe you're having a bad night. Can't sleep. Or had a terrible day and express to him that you don't know what to do. Well, "put on a jacket and some shoes you don't mind muddying, I'll pick you up". Maybe y'all just drive around. Maybe outside of the city to hop a fence and lay out in some field. Listen to the silence. Talk about it if you want or talk about literally anything else if that's what you prefer. Listen, he's been taken care of really well for the last ten years, he knows how you just need something like this every now and again.
