Felix is a very guarded person, emotionally and otherwise. He doesn’t trust quickly, but if someone does manage to earn his trust, then he holds them in a very high regard. It’s not exactly difficult to initially earn his trust, if a person is observant enough to truly see him. After all, his boundaries have been crossed without care so many times, and his feelings have been stomped on so callously, and he has been so disregarded, that it would only take someone to show consistent care or consideration or respect toward him for them to gain his trust. However, if his trust is betrayed it can never be earned back; he does not give second chances.

He is not an easy person to make friends with, because he doesn’t care enough about people to concern himself with their affairs. He ignores most people and dismisses them as boring and not worth his time, only interacting with other people if he has no choice. If someone was interesting enough, though, he might pay them some attention. At least until they stopped being interesting. And if someone decided they liked Felix, for whatever reason (Felix: “Why? What’s wrong with you?”), and wanted to be his friend, and took steps to do so, he wouldn’t fight it too hard unless he really couldn’t stand the person in question. Above all what he seeks in a friend is understanding, acceptance, and respect.

Has a lot of boundaries and doesn’t react well when they’re crossed. He’s cold and distant and prickly and will not hesitate to react defensively, with sarcasm and/or insults, when someone makes him uncomfortable. This can, understandably, rub people the wrong way and piss them off. Because of this, it’s easy to say that he makes enemies much easier than he makes friends. It’s not like he’s trying to make enemies, but he's also not going out of his way to be nice to anyone, and getting an apology out of him is like pulling teeth. So, it happens. Maybe more than he'd like.

Felix is demisexual, meaning he’s on the asexual spectrum, and he only feels sexual attraction for someone when he has a strong emotional connection to them. That being said, his emotional walls are tall and strong, though they aren't without cracks and gaps. The right person, with the right approach, could get through to him if they wanted to. If they cared enough to put in the effort. If they thought he was worth it. The likelihood is very low that Felix would be the one to initially pursue a romantic relationship with anyone, even if he thought he had feelings for them; he would deny his feelings and push them away and tell himself it wasn’t reciprocal, or that he didn’t deserve it, or that it wasn’t worth the inevitable pain it would cause. All of that to mask his fear of any kind of intimacy, because he hates feeling afraid.

-Maybe Felix has been having dreams about a mysterious person lately, so he knows he’s going to meet them sometime soon. Maybe your character is that person.

-Your character could be someone he knows/knew from when he used to visit the city all the time as a kid/teen. This could be a friendly relationship, but it’s honestly more likely to be antagonistic, because Felix has never been all that friendly, even as a kid. Or, alternatively, it used to be antagonistic, but maybe your character approaches him to try to mend fences (they were just dumb kids, after all). Depending on what the relationship used to be like, and how they approach him, he might agree to put the past behind them, or he might still hold a grudge.

-Your character could easily have known his Aunt Maisy, since she lived in Los Eurosia for so many years. Maybe they recently heard of her death and approach Felix to offer condolences, or they even might have met at her funeral, if they were close with her. Or, perhaps, they knew her from her antique store, and they are surprised when they stop by the shop and find him behind the counter instead of her, and it’s up to Felix to break the bad news to them.

-If your character likes dogs, it’s easy to see why they might find Hubble adorable and feel the need to approach and ask if they can pet him. They might not be prepared for Felix’s impassive stare. Whether he says, “no, go away” or “you can try, no promises he’ll let you” depends on how your character approaches, and what kind of mood he’s in. It could really go either way. If they do go in for a pet, Hubble will most likely duck away from them and avoid their hand. If they are a hardcore dog person and know how to approach, letting him smell their hand first before going in for a chest scratch, he will tolerate it, and Felix will be reluctantly impressed.

-Your character shows up at Felix’s house, having been told to go there if they ever needed help by someone in Blackstorm. Only, they are there to ask for help from Felix’s Aunt Maisy and, bad news little stray, Maisy Daunt is dead. Felix might help, though, if he's feeling generous, and you have something worthwhile to offer him in return.

-Your character is at a coffee shop and there’s a weird guy in the corner who keeps looking at them and then back down at something he’s writing. Then your character realizes he’s not writing, he’s drawing. He’s drawing them! Maybe your character thinks he’s creepy, maybe they’re annoyed and confront him about it, maybe they approach him and ask to see.

-It’s one of Felix’s bad days and he’d rather lay in bed all day and not interact with the world. Unfortunately, he’s forced to go out in public anyway. Your character touches him, whether by accident, or to get his attention, or for some other reason. Whatever the reason, Felix reacts badly to it. Probably violently.

-Your character finds Felix on top of a building, or some other high place, somewhere he’s definitely not supposed to be. Maybe they think he's suicidal (he's not), or maybe it's their usual spot and they're annoyed to find a stranger there, or maybe they're just pissed that he's on their roof.

-Felix goes for a run almost every morning, and some nights, too. Maybe your character likes to run, too, and notices Felix on their usual path.

-Felix is lost, and his phone is dead. He hates talking to people, and he hates asking for help even more, but he doesn’t know what else to do.

-If your character is in Blackstorm, it is very feasible that they might contact Felix for help on a job.

-Anything else you can think of that would fit for Felix, I'm open to all suggestions!

Gabriel, more than anything else, is a people person. He loves being around people, he loves learning about people, he loves helping people. He wants the people around him to be happy, and he wants to be liked. However, he is very good at hiding just how very much he wants to be liked, and tends to come off as friendly, but aloof, when meeting new people.

Gabe is a very easy person to make friends with, but he can be a bit intense for some people; once he considers you his friend, his loyalty is unwavering and he's ride or die. He forms connections easily and deeply, and can find it difficult to let go of people, even when he should. He has a tendency to ignore red flags in his friendships out of a desperation to avoid losing anyone. At his core he is profoundly lonely and is just looking for his "soul tribe" and he will latch onto anyone he thinks might fit the bill.

Cass, at his core, is a romantic. He loves love, and he loves romanticizing the world around him to see it in a more profound and meaningful way. He goes with the flow of life, and takes things as they come, and believes everything happens for a reason. Really, this way of living is a coping mechanism, because of the way he was raised. If he let himself obsess about the details, as he sometimes has the urge to do, then he would have driven himself crazy long ago. His head is up in the clouds the majority of the time, and it's nice for him to get grounded back to reality every so often, despite how he fights against it.

His powers are invisibility and superhuman senses, both passive powers that affect only himself, which really reflects how he sees the world and the people in it. He knows that any sort of change can only be accomplished by changing himself, and he knows better than to try to change anyone else. Especially at this point in his life, after so many failed relationships and broken friendships.

He's a wanderer at heart, but he's been craving the stability of a real home for the past few years now. He just needs something to anchor him in one place. A cause, a career, or a person. A Reason.

Cass is a friendly person, and he makes friends easily, quickly considering new people to be his friends. However, he doesn't necessarily form real connections with people quite so swiftly. He has a lot of casual friends; people he would party with or do fun things with. He has a lot fewer close friends; people he would be willing to spend extended one-on-one time with, more than once. People he would do almost anything for. Those that are lucky enough to form a close bond with him become very special to him. They earn his loyalty and his high regard, both of which are difficult to lose once you have them. He's always on the search for kindred spirits, but someone more down to earth and grounded would be good for him, as well.

Cass hates bullies, and injustice really gets under his skin. He's a good person at his core, but he's not self righteous, so it takes a lot for him to truly consider someone an enemy. He may not agree with someone else's opinions and/or way of life, and he may even loudly voice his differing opinions, which can piss people off, but even starting an argument with someone doesn't mean he hates, or even dislikes them. Arguments, for him, are rarely heated, and he views them more as friendly debates. He does tend to run his mouth, though, bluntly saying whatever is on his mind, and he doesn't seem to know when to shut up. This can make people dislike him, for sure, whether or not he feels the same about them.

Cass is bisexual, and he develops crushes on people every day, all the time. Sometimes those crushes go away when he gets to know someone better, and sometimes they turn into more. He is no stranger to unrequited crushes and even unrequited love. It's also quite easy for a close friendship to become romantic, at least on his part. Outside of a relationship, he can be a bit promiscuous, always eager to feel close to another person. When he's in a relationship, though, he's a hardcore monogamist, and he is truly devoted to his significant other in every way imaginable. He tends to be attracted to the bad boy/girl type, but that's not always a hard and fast rule. He's been romantically involved with all kinds of people, and he doesn't really have a specific type, physically. He does prefer dominant personalities, though, and his lovers are pretty much the only people he doesn't mind telling him what to do.

-Maybe Cass sneaks in somewhere he's not supposed to be, with his ability to become invisible, and your character's power enables them to detect or sense him in some way, and they catch him.

-A funny one would be if Cass sneaks in somewhere to steal something to eat (being low on funds, since he just got to town and he's living out of his van), and someone spills some flour or something, which sticks to his clothes and outlines his shape (any that touched his skin would become invisible). If your character is gifted they would know something is up, but if they're not maybe they freak out because they think he's a ghost. Either way, potential hilarity ensues.

-One of Cass' powers is superhuman senses, so maybe he sees or hears something your character is doing, or a conversation they're having with someone else, and finds out about something he wasn't meant to know. Depending on what he learns, Cass probably wouldn't hesitate to confront your character with his new knowledge.

-Cass wakes up in your character's house after a night out partying with them. Maybe they slept together, maybe they didn't, either way. The problem is that his van is not parked outside and, in fact, he can't remember where he even left it. Maybe your character offers to help him retrace his steps and look for it.

-Alternatively, your character wakes up in Cass' van and can't remember where they parked their car. Cass offers to drive them around town and look for it.

-Cass' van is his home, but the van is quite old, and Cass knows very little about mechanics. So, maybe it breaks down on the side of the road, and your character stops to help. Either to offer mechanical assistance, or to give him a ride, or to call a tow truck for him.

-While doing a few loads at the laundromat, perhaps Cass and your character have a mix-up with their belongings. Or one of them asks the other to spare some soap/drier sheets/quarters.

-Living in a van is frequently complicated, especially when it comes to finding a good place to park. For the night, or sometimes longer. Maybe your character takes issue with the place Cass has decided to park his van, and gives him a hard time about it.

-Having traveled so extensively, and met so many people, it wouldn't be all that unusual for Cass to have met your character before, somewhere else. They could be a past friend, enemy, or lover.

-Since Cass plans to stick around town for a while (if not for good), he's going to need a real place to live. Maybe your character has a spare room, and has put out an ad for a roommate. Or maybe they get to talking about something else entirely and Cass' lack of housing accommodations comes up somehow.

-His powers would make him perfect for being a spy, so maybe someone tries to recruit him. Either for Blackstorm, or The Sector.

-Anything else you can think of that would fit for Cass, I'm open to all suggestions!

-OTHER BASIC PLOT IDEAS: Cass meets your character while playing guitar for tips, Cass meets your character at a job interview (either their interviewer or someone else interviewing), they get stuck in an elevator together, they strike up a conversation while waiting in line for something, they're both sneaking into a movie theater (or your character catches him sneaking in), he takes refuge under an overhang when it starts to pour down rain and your character joins him or was already there, your character dropped something or left something behind and Cass goes after them to return it, our characters have a minor fender bender, hit with a ball or frisbee thrown at the park, Cass finds a package on the side of the road and takes it to the address, a dog is in the road and running from people and he tries to help it along with a stranger (your character)

Hello! I should probably preface this by saying I'm on vacation right now so these thread ideas might have a slow start, but I'll be reunited with my laptop on the 19th and then writing will be easier c:

Cass Harlow & Evening Cadieux

Eve is very scared of ghosts x3 I think your flour-ghost plot hook would work for her? Since she's telepathic, maybe she could hear his thoughts first which leads her to throw the flour on him deliberately. Then because she has a tiny kitchen she'll probably be trapped with no way to run past him so she'll be spinning in circles not knowing what to do lol. She'll cry, no doubt about it, but if Cass chooses to reveal himself she'll calm down and be very interested in Cass' gifts as she's never met someone with physical (non-witch-type) powers before.

Her apartment isn't big enough to house another person long-term, but if they became friends she'd probably let Cass crash on her couch and use her shower, kitchen etc if he ever wanted a break from the van. He could also earn some money by picking up a few shifts at her store and, as she's pretty easy-going, she could pay him in cash if he doesn't want to sign a contract or commit to an official role.

Cass Harlow & Noah St Cloud

Noah has the ability to temporarily steal powers from others if they've been used on him, so if Cass is nearby and happens to be extending his senses beyond the normal human range, Noah would pick them up. Noah hates having enhanced senses lmao and he's terrible at reigning them in, but it would tell him that there's a gifted nearby – someone for him to recruit to Blackstorm – and those strong senses might help him pinpoint where Cass is if he's invisible and they're not in an especially loud/public place.

Depending on where they meet their interaction could go very differently.

Option 1) Noah is very territorial and would be PISSED if a stranger broke into his home; he has a hard enough time inviting friends over to visit lol. This route would 100% involve fighting and Noah likely wouldn't mention Blackstorm.

Option 2) They meet somewhere public but quiet, maybe a park or a library (I have an open thread that could work for this if you're interested, but I'm happy for us to start a new one if not c: ). He would use the senses to track Cass down and as he'd be in Blackstorm-recruiter-mode he would be a lot more friendly.

Option 3) If they're somewhere even more public and loud like in the middle of a street somewhere – ouch, Noah's ears will hurt and he'll be miserable. But he'll try to keep the power so he can search around for someone who looks confused about their sudden lack of super senses. After finding Cass, he'll give the power back and be like "DUDE u just murdered my eardrums bro. U gotta join my gang to make it up to me smh."

Or if you're not into these ideas we can have Option 4) Something you think would be fun : D

Hi! I'm Enne and I play Acker! I apologise if I don't make sense sometimes, but English is not my first language unfortunately.

Cass Harlow & Acker

Sooo, I have a wanted ad for Acker's assistant, but he could have more than one!
They earn his loyalty and his high regard, both of which are difficult to lose once you have them --> Acker is not a good person, let's start with that. So, I don't know if you char could ever be loyal to a person like him. However, if it is a possibility, then maybe these two get to work together and start bonding (not in a romantic way, do not worry lol). Acker needs more loyal henchmen assistants in his line of work. Although, Cass doesn't like injustice or bullies, so I think that maybe this can never happen unfortunately, although it would be an interesting plot idea!

Acker is a "bad boy" lol and has a dominant personality, but he is attracted to intelligence, and his standards are pretty high considering his own intelligence. However, he would be interested in Cass' power! He studies Gifted to see what makes them tick. His studies are not ethical at all, and are conducted in a secret lab under his mansion (yep, I am going for the mad scientist vibe).

About the plot hooks: Perhaps Cass was hired to steal Acker's research? His competitors would pay a spy handsomely to get their hands on his work (imagine like Willy Wonka's recipes got stolen for profit, well Acker is the Willy Wonka of robots lol). Also, Blackstorm would be interested in his Gifted's research. So, Cass could be hired by one of Acker's competitors or by Blackstorm on a freelancer basis if Cass is not part of their group yet (they tasked him for the job, maybe even anonymously).

Acker's power cannot detect Cass directly, however, his technology can (if you are okay with this of course). So, Acker could catch Cass while he is trying to steal his research.

Perhaps Cass hears something he shouldn't have? Acker could be talking to one of his henchmen employees about a job, believing that no one could hear him, but instead thanks to his power Cass hears everything and confronts Acker? Acker would wonder how Cass heard him and he would start wondering if there is something more to Cass which could bring Acker into trying to find out if Cass is a Gifted. If he finds out then he could try kidnapping Cass for experiments.

Acker's public image is the opposite: he belongs to the Villin family which is a rich family in Los Eurosia, they help the city and are seen as good members of society. So, Acker still has to keep up with appearances (which he hates to do). Perhaps, Cass is Acker's "charity case" for PR? He finds out about Cass' situation and helps him out to maintain appearances (although, it would look like he is doing it to genuinely help Cass). He could give Cass a job (or help him find a job, with Acker's family connections in LE it shouldn't be an issue) and a place to live.

Mirror  No rush! You have fun on your vacation. I'm dealing with some distracting irl things right now anyway, so my first couple weeks here will probably be slow, post-wise.

That being said, I love the ghost idea with Eve, that sounds great! And it would be very sweet of her to offer Cass help once they get to know each other. We can see how that plays out. I can start writing up a thread starter in the next couple days, if you're cool with it, and will have it posted next week, hopefully early in the week, depending on current distractions. No rush with the reply, though, take your time!

As for Noah, I adore his character, and I'm happy you offered him for a thread ♥. I would definitely be willing to post in your library thread, go along with the narrative you've started in that thread and let it go from there. BUT if you have a different idea for that thread, and would rather keep it open, I love option 3. Though, question: would Cass' superhuman senses even be copyable for Noah? I truly don't mind if they are, I promise, but the power is more of an enhancement of Cass' own abilities rather than an active effect on others. Just a thought! I don't want to inadvertently mess up your character continuity or anything 😅

Let me know what's what, and we can work out a Noah/Cass thread, but, again, no rush!

Nicholas Acker Villin Your guy sounds like quite the character!

(part 1) It would definitely be interesting to have Cass get caught trying to steal Acker's research. Once he gets recruited into one of the organizations, anyway. It makes sense that advanced tech could detect Cass, despite his invisibility, so I don't mind that. Maybe Acker can do some experiments on him to learn more about his powers, and Cass can learn about his own powers in the process, since he only has a loose understanding of how his invisibility works, at the moment. 

(part 2) Ooh, maybe when he's being held captive (hopefully awaiting rescue ahaha 😅) is when he overhears something Acker doesn't want him to know. Maybe Acker doesn't realize YET, at that point, that Cass has other powers besides invisibility, so he doesn't know he needs to guard against his superhuman senses? 

(part 3) I can't see Cass actually working for Acker, but he wouldn't hesitate to accept his charity. Maybe, once he escapes, or is rescued, or whatever, he uses what he learned during his captivity to blackmail Acker. He wouldn't care all that much to stop what Acker is doing, as long as he's not hurting anyone Cass loves. Maybe that's when Cass becomes Acker's "charity case" for PR, since he's trying to give Cass more incentive to keep his mouth shut about what he knows? 

All three parts would make a very interesting plot, in my opinion, but if there's any parts you don't like I'm perfectly fine with tossing them out. Or changing things around to your liking. Let me know!

I like all your ideas, however Acker would try killing Cass if he ever tried to blackmail him. Acker isn't above killing, he has done it before. So, Cass wouldn't become the "charity case" in this scenario. 

However, we can have a different path where Cass and Acker meet for the first time and Cass becomes Acker's "charity case". Perhaps in this scenario Acker notices something about Cass that makes him wonder if there is something more about Cass? Perhaps in this scenario Cass hears something he shouldn't have (because Acker doesn't know about the super-senses) and confronts Acker about it? And that's when Acker suspects something?

For the "stealing research thread" scenario instead, we can do it even if Cass is not recruited by Blackstorm because any corporation in robotics would want Acker's research so Cass can be hired by a random one (if he is recruited by one of Acker's competitors in robotics then Cass would be hired to steal research related to his job in robotics and not Gifted because his Gifted experiments are not publicly known). In this scenario, Cass could get caught and experimented on and if Cass tried to blabber about what Acker did then the mad scientist would retaliate, so maybe Cass decides to not say anything? (We need to find a plausible way for Cass to escape captivity considering that Acker's house has a unique security system...perhaps Blackstorm rescues him? It could also help with recruitment later on if Cass would be interested in joining Blackstorm).

What would you like to do? The "charity case" scenario or the "stealing research" scenario? The charity case scenario would also lead to illicit experimentation and Blackstorm rescue later on if that's okay with you.

Maybe Eve could be bringing groceries home so the door is open long enough for Cass to duck inside – or maybe he could get in through the bedroom window she normally leaves open for her cats, though it's on the second floor so it might be a difficult climb lmao. As for the power borrowing – if you'd rather Noah didn't borrow it, he doesn't have to, I just thought it was the easiest way for him to recognise that Cass is gifted c: If it helps, after their initial interaction he's likely to always block the power out so Cass can keep it~ I had it in my mind that Noah's power is like a shield, and any gift that can be used against/on Noah in some way would be copyable. So if the shield detected Noah was being listened to/tracked in a supernatural way, I imagine it would consider that a threat to Noah so it would drag that gift away for him. Whereas he wouldn't be able to copy something like having a mermaid tail, being able to breathe underwater, or being resistant to heat because those gifts don't directly pose a danger to him, if that makes sense?

Nicholas Acker Villin I think I would prefer the stealing research scenario, if it's all the same to you. Although I feel it would have to wait a little while to get started, since Cass has only just arrived in town and isn't quite settled in yet. Is it cool with you if we reconvene on the plot a little further down the road? Once I've posted more as Cass and more IC opportunities open up for him, and I get a better feel for his character in general. Because right now, as he is, I can't see him getting hired or recruited by anyone to be a spy just yet. And I don't see him being open to the charity case scenario without a good reason. I am very interested in the stealing research scenario, though, and I definitely want to come back to it!

The idea of Cass ducking into Eve's apartment while she's bringing in groceries would work. I originally thought that maybe he smelled something cooking, and that's what drew him in, but then how would he get inside? hahaha. Just one question: where is the door to Eve's place in relation to the magic shop? Is it around back, or at the side, or somewhere else? I have the post mostly written already, just need a couple details to finish it off.

I truly don't mind Noah borrowing Cass' powers, I was just making sure it would work. The explanation of his powers makes a lot of sense! I think I'll go with the option 3 route, in that case. I already have a starter typed up, just gotta finish it off when I get the time.

I have wanted to thread with Cass since you made him but have had a such difficult time figuring out who and how I should throw any of my characters at him, lol. So why not just toss out a couple of ideas for everyone and see if you're interesting in any of them?

Dane Wayland - He'd be an interesting choice for your laundromat plot hook. I can see Dane just being an uncaring psychopath, stripping down to his boxers and socks to throw his (very obviously bloody) clothes in the wash. There's two dozen open seats in the place but he seats himself right next to Cass or something just to be a discomforting butt. Or harasses him for soap and/or quarters. Or Dane could try and break into his van while Cass's whole ass is sleeping in it? xD Or Cass could be sneaking about for some reason and come across Dane doing shady Hunter shit but something goes wrong and Dane sniffs him out (maybe I could play with his power of borrowing his beasts' senses that detect him somehow -- I would obviously have to think about this a little more lol).

Tawny Vokes - Maybe Cass has parked his van at her apartment complex's tenant parking lot? And Tawny has seen him a couple times and is aware he lives out of it. But on this particular morning, idk, some asshole drivers have her pretty blocked and she needs Cass to move so she can get in her car or get out of the parking lot, so she knocks on his door? Either that or her car got broken into or door-dinged and she wants to know if he happened to see/hear anything. And maybe Cass had a particularly bad night or bad couple of nights, so when he opens up to her, she immediately goes from grumpy to a little taken aback and concerned. "Dude are you okay? Do you need a shower? Some brekkie?" Or maybe Cass is brought into the Sector because he was witness to some sort of Gifted-going on and they throw her at him to make sure his memory doesn't require a little bit of tampering. She could take a dive through his memories and figure out he's Gifted, no need to change anything. But catches him out the door or something because she saw something interesting that she wants to inquire about or is just intrigued by him or something idk.

Gavyn Colburn - They could meet at some sort of gathering like a Pride Parade or something like that. Or Cass can drop into the bar where Gavyn bartends and they can have a nice chat? Cass could probably land a few drinks "on the house". Gavyn would be buddy-buddy instantly and, if Cass wasn't completely turned off by his forward friendliness and let it drop that he lives in his van, not only would Gavyn be completely awed and starry-eyed by the whole thing, but he wouldn't be opposed to giving him a place to crash at any point in time (no he won't ask his roommate, his roommate will just deal with it and probably be a snooty butt lmao). Gav would beg to be shown the van lol, just 'ooo'ing and 'ahh'ing over this man's vagabond lifestyle. If Cass takes him up on the offer and goes home with him at the end of the night, they could get food to carry home and get further-drunk while eating Chinese take-out. Idk lol.

Cass & Dane - this would be a very interesting pairing! Though, if Dane started stripping off his clothes in the middle of the laundromat, Cass would just enjoy the show and be completely distracted from the fact that there's blood on them, and if Dane came and sat next to him, he would definitely take it as a come-on and start flirting immediately lmao. He's been to plenty music festivals; random hot guys taking off their clothes doesn't make him uncomfortable XD

As for Dane breaking into Cass' van, that would make for a hilarious thread. Dane would be very disappointed that there's nothing good to steal. Maybe he got a bad tip or something. Oops! Wrong ugly yellow van! hahaha.

Also, since Cass doesn't exactly know hunters are a thing, this would make for a very dangerous pairing for him, as well. I'd be interested to see where it goes, though.

Cass & Tawny - I love Tawny! And any of those would work really well. I'm particularly intrigued with the idea of him being brought into the sector, though, since he also doesn't know organizations like that exist (he moves around too much to have ever been faced with the consequences of either the sector or hunters). There's plenty in his mind she could be interested in inquiring about. Like all his reckless use of powers, for one, hahaha. Or, perhaps she catches a glimpse of Noah, which intrigues her personally lol. Or literally anything else she might see; whatever you think she'd be most interested in.

Cass & Gavyn - I think these two would mesh very well, and could be very good friends. Cass is all about forward friendliness lol. Meeting at the bar Gavyn works at has definite potential. Cass would be extremely flattered by Gavyn's fascination with his lifestyle and would have plenty of fun stories to tell.

CASS & DANE - I could start a thread with either Dane being his loon self in the laundromat or him jimmying into Cass's van, I'm not sure which interests you more. I'm thinking we could save the Hunter thing for a future thread, perhaps after a bit of rapport is established. Either that or we can save it for later in the same thread if we decide things need stirred up lol. Maybe if Cass lets on he's Gifted for some reason, Dane's just like "Ope, I guess it's fight time, real shame I'm in my underoos".

CASS & TAWNY - I think either of us can start this one. Perhaps Cass is brought in under the guise of giving a witness report or something of that ilk? I could start with perhaps Tawny entering his room after his initial statement or something like that.

CASS & GAV - For this one, too, I think either of us could give it a start. I could start with Gav winding down the last half hour/hour of his shift or something like that, idk. I know you currently have a bar thread with Noah going, so if you feel like postponing this, that's cool. Or Gav has an open thread where he could pretend-propose to Cass, if you think that's something that wouldn't be too awful lmao.

Cass Harlow & Ashley Wolfe

I think Ashley and Cass could be interesting! Ashley has done a lot of traveling, going from place to place, and he spent a decent stint in Colorado. So they could bond over that. Wax poetic about open roads and mountains and all that jazz. Ashley's also been a repressed bisexual his whole life, only very recently kind of acknowledging and letting himself consider that, so if Cass tried to be flirty or what-not, he'd probably receive a mess of mixed, fumbled signals as Ashley's brain:



If you're down to give them a try, I'm not sure of any specific ideas. Applejack, his dog who traveled with him for 4+ years, could straight up just hop in Cass's open van while he's parked somewhere? He could be cleaning it out or smth and she's just immediately laying down in the back like "hell yh let's go", all happy and refusing to leave.

Or I have a Plot Hook where Ashley is at a gay bar, somehow just NOT KNOWING it's a gay bar. Cass could be the one that cues him in on the fact lmaoooo.

Or if you have any other ideas! Not just with Ashley, but with anyone else!

Oooh yes! Ashley sounds great! There's so much potential for interesting threading with Cass and Ashley. Lots that they have in common that they could bond over.

I like the idea of Ashley's dog jumping into Cass' van, that's a really good one, since Cass loves dogs so much. Which will also give them more to talk about, so that's handy.

Your plot hook about a rescue dog could also work; if there's a dog that's injured or otherwise in trouble, Cass would want to help (and he would also want to keep it) but would in no way be able to afford vet care, so he reluctantly calls animal control, and they send Ashley.

The gay bar idea could also work, as Cass would definitely be in one, and wouldn't be shy about cueing Ashley into what's going on.

Since Ashley has traveled so much himself, my plot hook of having met before, somewhere else (however briefly or extensively), is also a possibility. It could also potentially be joined with any of the other ideas, for some added depth, if you're into that. If not, that's fine, too.

A bookstore meeting could work, since Cass and Ashley both like books so much. Maybe they're reaching for the same book, or Cass' stack of bargain bin books gets too tall and he fumbles and drops them. Whatever way they come to be in the same place, Cass wouldn't hesitate to try and strike up a conversation with Ashley, if they were in close enough proximity.

Also, I can't wait to see what Ashley's reaction will be (if he has one) to seeing his father's name (and his own middle name) tattooed on Cass' forearm XD

I'm really excited for this thread, whatever it turns out to be! Ashley is very interesting! I probably won't be able to start it/reply to it until Monday, because I don't get a lot of free time on weekends, but we can work things out in the meantime.
