Cass Harlow and Maddison Lancaster

I think these two would be so fun to thread. Maddie feels perfect for your first plot hook, since she's got power sensing and negation. I don't know if you have a specific situation in mind for where he should be found, but I can't stop thinking about her being intrigued by his invisibility. She hasn't met anyone (that she knows of) that has invisibility. She'd also have a bunch of questions about his senses, wondering if he was like Mason with it or if it works differently for different people.

hoooboy, Maddison is one of the few people who might actually be able to make Cass lose his cool lol. Since he sees his powers as such an integral part of who he is, her negating them would be like a stranger just walked up and tied him up and gagged and blindfolded him. He would be very unsettled, and upset with her, and would find it to be very rude. He would probably want to get as far away from her as possible, especially if her negation power is proximity-based.

However, if she simply sensed his powers and confronted him about them (or whatever you think her reaction would be), things would go a lot differently, because he would have no idea she could negate them.

Two very different ways a thread with them could go lol. Negating his powers would start them off on the wrong foot immediately, and would probably end up as more of an antagonistic relationship. Whereas just talking to him about his powers would start off on the right foot, and would delight and excite him, and they could actually become friendly before he finds out (if/when he finds out) about her negation power. If they were friends/friendly first he might see it in a different way, or just be like "haha, don't take my powers please" 😅
So, it's really up to you how you wanna play it. I'm good with either one, they could both be fun.

As for having a specific situation in mind for where he should be found, I do not have one lol. He could be sneaking into the place she works to try and steal some food, since that's a habit of his. He could be exploring somewhere and bump into her. He frequently plays guitar for tips, so maybe she walks past him doing that (unless you wanted to do the power negation angle). He could be sneaking into a movie theater. Or if you have any specific ideas for the kinds of places Maddie frequents, I could work off of that.

Oh man, I'm so here for the drama of a contentious encounter if you're down for it. Her abilities are proximity based, and the sensing is always just sort of on, but she (generally) has really good control over the negation. But if he had like, snuck into the back at the restaurant where she works or she didn't see anyone but felt the presence of a Gifted person, she might use her negation because she'd be a little freaked out about sensing someone when she doesn't see anyone. Then she'd be all, 'oh, you aren't hurting anyone, carry on' but like, now he knows she can negate his powers and whatnot. Idk. She can't just negate one power on someone who has multiple powers, so if she negates his invisibility it's also gonna do his senses. She can do just one person, but not just one power.

Or, if you'd rather not have something antagonistic, I'm down to have a different set up. She doesn't tend to mention people's gifts right away, unless there is a reason to bring it up. She's afraid they won't know, or they'll be mad or scared or take it the wrong way. Or, her newly unlocked concern, that they'll try to use her gifts in some way. BUT, if he used his gifts in an obvious way in front of her she might ask about them.

For places she goes, she works in a diner type restaurant. She also tends to frequent bars, mostly in East End, but really, she could be just about anywhere. They could also bump into each other at a laundry mat, cause she'd have to bring her clothes there (which she loathes doing since she takes public transport).

I was gonna wait to see what plot hooks you have for Felix but I cannot control myself and needed to get this out there lmao

Look, idk how to explain this – I just feel like Noah would think this guy is visually so adorable and pretty but because Felix is such a private/distant person he’d be all –



He’d totally see him as a stray cat that he wants to pet/earn the trust of (and yes, Noah would have lots of cat related puns and nicknames for him) and he'd be super curious about him if he's not someone Noah recruited himself.

As for why they'd interact… maybe one of Noah’s recruits has been unreachable for a while and he decides to check in on them. At their home, the place is a mess and the recruit has clearly been kidnapped but a thorough search doesn’t reveal why or who by, so he contacts Felix.

Felix comes over, finds something that he can use his psychometry on, and he and Noah decide to deal with the situation themselves and go to rescue the recruit from whatever trouble they found themselves in. This could entail sneaking around a shady place together, maybe one of them distracting the kidnappers and luring them away while the other unties the recruit, or they could end up outright fighting the kidnappers and later running from police when they're called to the scene.

Maybe the recruit survives, maybe they don’t. Maybe they get injured and Felix&Noah take them to Noah’s npc healer lady Nahlani and he gets super hyped about borrowing her gift and wants to use it on Felix. Or maybe after the rescue Noah cba to drive all the way home to West Hook and tries to convince Felix to let him crash on his couch lmao

I was also thinking, later, if they end the first thread on friendly enough terms, maybe they could do Noah’s “Friday night bites” plot hook where Noah wants to try out his vampire fangs on Felix, but then because of Felix’s trauma he could panic when Noah’s biting/about to bite him and they could stop and talk a bit about what upset him? (Or Felix could tell Noah to mind his own business and they could argue lol)

If you have changes to suggest or other ideas or aren't interested in these two interacting, no worries! I just think Felix is neat x3

Antagonistic is fine with me! I'm down to explore what my sunshine boy is like when he's pissed off. Or, well, as pissed off as he can be, anyway. I suspect it's not gonna be much, because anger isn't really in his nature. He'll probably be more offended and affronted, haha. We'll see how things go down, though. I'm excited to explore this.

The diner works for a thread location. Sneaking into kitchens is fully Cass' MO, lol. I'll start a thread as soon as I'm caught up on my other replies. Or if you want to start, that's fine, too.

Yessss I'm so into it! I can't even describe how excited I was when I saw your post lol. Felix and Noah would be such an interesting pair. They're both edgy bois in such different ways XD. And the image you used for Noah's reaction to Felix had me laughing jsyk.

I am into all of your ideas. I don't even know what to contribute, because everything you suggested is perfect lol. We can see where things go, or if you want more specific opinions, I like the idea of them fighting the kidnappers and then running from the police. They could all get injured, some more than others, and have to go to Noah's healer, and maybe the recruit dies before they can get them there. Whether or not Felix lets Noah crash at his house would depend on how things went between them in the rest of the thread lol.

And, yes, the friday night bites plot hook could definitely be interesting in a lot of ways, if they are on friendly enough terms to get to that. I'm up for it, for sure!

Hey, I was reading Felix's plot hooks and he seems like a really cool character! I think it might be fun for Katie to find him on her roof. Since Katie doesn't know she's gifted she thinks her visions are hallucinations and that she's crazy. Felix's power would definitely be interesting to her if she ever came to know of it. Regardless, she's a very optimistic and friendly person, and I think Felix would have an interesting time talking to her (and maybe making friends?). She's very unguarded and can't hide her emotions, but she's also super genuine. She can come off as childish and immature, but that's probably due to the fact she lost more that 8 years to a mental institution. She'd also definitely be confused as to whether it was normal for people to just hang out in such dangerous places. I think it'd be pretty funny to see their personalities mix, lol. Anyway, let me know if this is something your interested in!

Where exactly does Katie live downtown? Like, building specifics. How many stories is the building? And how easy is it to get to her roof? If you don't know/don't care, I can come up with something myself.

Just a heads up, Felix is a difficult boy, created mostly for angst and conflict threads lol. There has to be a reason for him to stick around and interact with someone. If she just found him up there and was friendly about it, he'd be more likely to leave and avoid the interaction rather than stick around for a chat. Maybe she can have one of her visions. Or maybe she had a vision of Felix and that was what sent her up to the roof in the first place.

Oh, I know! I can get some alcohol involved where Felix is concerned, so he'll be a little more loosened up. He doesn't drink around other people, but if he went up to a roof he was looking for a place to be alone and he wouldn't be expecting to run into anyone else.

I'm just picturing Katie finding Felix, and then getting a vision and collapsing, and him looking down out at her on the ground like "wtf" and then nudging her with his boot, hands in his pockets, like "hey. are you alive? should I call an ambulance or a coroner before I fuck off?" 😂

Felix has visions, too, so if she revealed that her fit had been caused by seeing things, he would be intrigued and it might be something for them to "bond" over lol.

But she doesn't have to have a vision if you don't want her to. She can just find him up there, slightly tipsy, and bug him until he talks to her or something, lol.

Ok, so this morning I wrote a response to you and then right as we were heading out the door, DontBlink borrowed my computer and accidentally powered it off trying to hit backspace (like a dummy), so I lost it all. Jokes on her, I made her re-write it all—see below:

So, this sounds really great! I was actually thinking it would be fun to have Katie woken up by a vision of Felix and then come up to the roof and be like “hey, you seem *just* like this guy I had a ‘dream’ of! How weird!”. She doesn’t know she’s Gifted yet and I want to play her that way for a little longer. She experiences/feels everything about the other person when she has her episodes, so basically anything you were to put in your first post she’d experience…. ?

(The idea of Felix nudging Katie with his boot is hilarious, though!)

Yeah, I think that if he’s a little tipsy that would be great. Katie is very optimistic and will probably ask a ton of questions.

As for where Katie actually lives downtown….Well, she’s crashing with her bro at the moment. DontBlink and I are from Chicago and so our sense of “tall” buildings is like 60-90 floors. I don’t know how tall buildings in Los Eurosia typically go. Something, like, medium-tall? Maybe there’s really only one roof-access from the inside and so Felix can’t actually leave until she moves out of the way. She’s unaware that she’s trapping him.

Ok, I think that’s what I all meant to say this morning. Thoughts?

Oh yeah, Felix isn't the type to insist to someone that they're gifted, even if he thinks they are. If she was like "you seem like this guy I had a dream of" he wouldn't tell her she's a precog (I know she's not but that's what he would assume), he would just be like. "Hey I have dreams like that, too. They suck amiright?"

As far as the building, the description of 'downtown' in the neighborhoods info mentions "trendy apartments and townhouses", so I would assume their building isn't too high if it fits with that description. Maybe 10 floors, max? Can we have the roof access be on the outside via a fire escape? There would still be only one roof access so she could still trap him lol. And their apartment could have fire escape access through their window, to make things easier. Tbh I don't know if fire escapes actually go to the roof, because I've never seen one in real life, but we can suspend our disbelief for a fictional RP lol.

If you don't like that idea for the building, though, that's fine, too. It is your residence after all haha, so it can be whatever you want. I just find it less likely that Felix would go inside a building he is unfamiliar with to get to the roof, BUT it could be plausible if he is familiar with the building, and it's just a regular spot of his. I can make things work!

Heyyy there, Calamity! I've seen you floating around the site (probably longer than I have lol); I love both Cass and Felix and I'm really interested in plotting with you, if you're cool with it!

Cass Harlow and Walter Bell : I feel as if these two are so much alike, they could be a duo! I feel as if they need to meet each other. Both of them are kind and caring, obsessed with the people that they care about, take life as it comes, easy-going, and understanding. While they differ a little bit, yes, it's almost in the way that opposites would attract. For example, in Cass's application it says "he doesn't know when to shut up, and tends to just say what's on his mind" and in Walter's that he is patient, an amazing listener, and very empathetic. After reading Cass's application and his plotter, I feel as if they would click together really well, and that he could be one of the very few people that Walter feels comfortable opening up about his tragic past to. I would even think that they would be good in a romantic relationship together 👀 Of course if you're not comfortable with that or Cass feels like he would want to take it slow, we can just keep it at good friends. I also saw that Cass and Charlotte got duo of the month, so if you wanna stick to that, then its no problem at all and they can just stay friends :> Let me know what you think about it! I'd love to plan something.

Felix Golding and Aurora Aquino : Aurora's in a bit of a revenge spiral, and she doesn't have any leads... so maybe Felix could help! He's gifted with psychometry, and Aurora's phone definitely has history to it in the terms of how it became gifted (For context if you don't know about Aurora, she has a phone that can control time! it was altered when she got kidnapped by enne's character, Acker Villin, but she doesn't know that. it what she wants to find out). I read that Felix isn't the most approachable and trusting and doesn't like to get in other people's affairs, so Aurora's willing to bribe him if possible. She'll do anything to get even just a scrap of information. If we need, we can coordinate with enne and craft what happened, maybe even in a oneshot or something! Who knows, maybe after Felix uses his psychometry on Aurora's phone, he may have a little sympathy for her, but that's really up to how you think he would act. Interested in what we could plan! Let me know what you think.

And of course, feel free to throw in anything else you'd like to add, things you aren't comfortable with, or completely separate plots if you feel inclined to do so! Or if you're pretty busy with plots right now, we can put this on the back burner until you're ready. I'm excited about all the possibilities of plots! Thanks for reading all this, haha.
